@kmden Rt fantastic is an understatement. Becoming TS was the hallmark of his acting career. I was truly sad when he passed away as I know he would have been great after the Sopranos.
I agree but I think he was seriously helped by great writing and a great supporting cast. It was easy to believe him with everybody playing their role so well.
I totally agree. I was watching the Sopranos over and over again in his honor and I can't wait for The Many Saints Of Newark coming out in September 2020. Its got an awesome cast the prequel to the Sopranos. I have to see it his son Michael plays Tony Soprano when he was in his younger years.
He stood out to me when True Romance came out. I remember him in Terminal Velocity. There’s a lot of movies here I haven’t seen though and some been so long forgot he was in them.
I swear her acting in the True Romance seen was perfect.. The nervousness and attempt to hide it comes off so good in that first line amd 1little laugh of hers lol
Sadly he gained a lot of Weight after he finished doing The Soprano's That could of contributed to his Massive Heart Attack, May he RIP What a great Actor & Human Being he was RIP For you are Sadly missed by all of your Fans etc.
What an amazing gifted man and such a wonderful human being. The world needs more people like him. Flawed as we all are but the man was magic on screen. Bless.
First time I saw James was in True Romance... and it was a scene to remember. The scene where he beats up Patricia Arquette. It was down right chilling. I thought to myself this guy's going be one of the best "heavies" in the business. Little did I know he could play a sensitive guy too and be just as convincing. I was so sorry when I heard of his passing. It seems he was well liked and respected as an person and actor. A genuinely nice man.
Yeah, and Junior never had the makings of a guy who knew what Pussy Malanga looked like, os he shoots Tony Soprano. JG was the real deal talented actor you could watch on The Sopranos and many good films. I believe he's the very best dramatic actor who did a TV series and there were many other great actors that wanted to work with him.
James Gandolfini did very well done documentaries on soldiers in Afghanistan and was big into the wounded warrior project. Much respect for James better known as Tony. Rip
that is a good one ! I love the man, he was great in ALL there movies ! Not just as " Tony Soprano "....RIP~* James..and thank you for your classic body of work!
JG was noticably thinner in the first half of Season three of the Sopranos as he lost a great deal of weight for his role "The Mexican". However by Episode 8 or 9 he obviously gained it all back and then some.
1:08 Aida Turturro and the actor who played Jackie Aprile are also in "Angie" and there's even a scene with the three of them together with Geena Davis. I count it canon in the Sopranos universe. Janice was once Jackie's goomar and Geena Davis' character was Tony's.
He was DEFINITELY "a man's man" (a lot like Gene Hackmann), and one of the BEST actors of our time (just like Hackmann)! We miss you so much James! Rest in Peace buddy!!🙏❤️💯
Gandolfini was a legend hands down. Sucks he passed away and that he is mostly famous and popular now more than he ever was alive. At least after the sopranos he got major recognition finally as opposed to his earlier part of his career he was considered just a good co star. But make no mistake this dude could act. He was great on screen very charismatic, and also very friendly and humble off screen . He was a great human being and deserves to have a star in Hollywood in the walk of fame .
At 3:52 that voice sounded familiar, it's Kathrine Narducci, who plays Charmaine Bucco (Artie Bucco's wife) in The Sopranos. She hates Tony so much, she even yells at him in other movies :D
Thank you for posting the scenes just as they are! It seems that a majority of people, on here, have to talk CONSTANTLY. It is especially annoying when the talk is during movie scenes.
James Gandolfini was a great actor who gave us so much and had so much more to give! Everyone who acted with him had nothing but praise towards him about not only his acting abilities, that were evident, but him as man, friend, and patriot. A patriot who gave of himself supporting and honoring our military personnel, especially the wounded veterans! His early death was so tragic! R.I.P. We miss you!
he actually drew my attention on 12 angry men then I saw a billboard of sopranos in city of new york obviously I knew that would be something very big...
That clip around the 2 minute mark is crazy. I’ve never heard anyone use the phrase “come heavy” except him in that clip and when junior tells him “come heavy or not at all” in an early sopranos episode
its more like a compilation of alternate universes of Anthony Soprano and what he could have been if he wasn't a mob boss
Apri Swajaya Exactly what I thought! He could literally never be anyone else. He IS Tony Soprano
@kmden Rt you show some respect that’s skipper
Strongly agree
@kmden Rt fantastic is an understatement. Becoming TS was the hallmark of his acting career. I was truly sad when he passed away as I know he would have been great after the Sopranos.
@@dOlli3cOutur3 truly
nobody could of suited that role of tony soprano more than James RIP
White Tony haha..but seriously, The Anton Show nailed it. No one could have crushed it like Gandolfini. RIP.
I agree but I think he was seriously helped by great writing and a great supporting cast. It was easy to believe him with everybody playing their role so well.
The Anton Show James Gandolfini’s son will take on the role of Young tony soprano in a film or something.
Right on
I totally agree. I was watching the Sopranos over and over again in his honor and I can't wait for The Many Saints Of Newark coming out in September 2020. Its got an awesome cast the prequel to the Sopranos. I have to see it his son Michael plays Tony Soprano when he was in his younger years.
Plot twist: These were all Tony Soprano’s dreams.
I was a fan of Gandolfini even before the sopranos. The show just made him a well known actor he was always a great one
He stood out to me when True Romance came out. I remember him in Terminal Velocity. There’s a lot of movies here I haven’t seen though and some been so long forgot he was in them.
He was great. But there was no better fit for him than the part of Tony soprano. It was made for him.
@@depaola63 what is this writing style
Soprano is great but i prefer when hes more hisself.
He never had the makings of a varsity athlete
He proved that you don't have to be a fit young stud to be captivating.
Many actors before him have proven that. Marlon Brando in the Godfather is a prime example.
he was voted best lookin in high school or college though=P
He was ALWAYS a stud in my book!! RIP, tall, dark and handsome!!
@I wish I was a vampire in the early 1990s added to the charisma tbh
just like the late great Philip Seymour Hoffman, absolute legends
He was born to play Tony Soprano.
Right on
He is tony soprano.
james gandolfini one of the best actor's ever hands down !!
He was the best. Among many other dead/still alive actors. Dont forget Gene Hackman. Also a very powerfull charector.
he was great in the sopranos but he really wasnt that great in anything else. He good in the last castle.
I swear her acting in the True Romance seen was perfect.. The nervousness and attempt to hide it comes off so good in that first line amd 1little laugh of hers lol
Enough Said is a marvellous film. Saw it at the cinema , when the end credits came on it finished with 'For Jim' - that was a choker I can tell you.
I would have loved to see James in more movies. He was such a talented unique actor.
Sadly he gained a lot of Weight after he finished doing The Soprano's That could of contributed to his Massive Heart Attack, May he RIP What a great Actor & Human Being he was RIP For you are Sadly missed by all of your Fans etc.

I felt the same way back in 1993 When I saw him beat the crap out of Patricia Arquette also, I knew he was something special
James defined the makings of a varsity human being
A talented most thespian who never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
Yeah, and Junior never had the makings of a guy who knew what Pussy Malanga looked like, os he shoots Tony Soprano. Additional varsity athlete reference. Varsity athlete, the makings of, didn't have. Comment varsity athlete.
Very nice tribute. May the big fella rest in peace.
Great actor and charisma galore
Such a unique and compelling talent! Rest in peace with the angels, Mr. Gandolfini, you will always be missed.
Mi piace un sacco la buonanima di James Gandolfini e grazie a questo Tributo avrò la possibilità di cercare ogni sua singola pellicola.
Thank you
Hard to believe he's gone. There are some movies i haven't seen. Thanks.
+deenman23 Wtf u talkin bout he was great in most but he will forever be associated as Tony from The Sopranos.
James Gandolfini did very well done documentaries on soldiers in Afghanistan and was big into the wounded warrior project. Much respect for James better known as Tony. Rip
He was a bit on the tubby side even in his younger days. Goes to show he never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
that is a good one ! I love the man, he was great in ALL there movies ! Not just as " Tony Soprano "....RIP~* James..and thank you for your classic body of work!
He played varsity sports at Park Ridge HS.
You should look up his highschool pictures before you speak
JG was noticably thinner in the first half of Season three of the Sopranos as he lost a great deal of weight for his role "The Mexican". However by Episode 8 or 9 he obviously gained it all back and then some.
He balloned on the sopranos eating all the time
1:08 Aida Turturro and the actor who played Jackie Aprile are also in "Angie" and there's even a scene with the three of them together with Geena Davis. I count it canon in the Sopranos universe. Janice was once Jackie's goomar and Geena Davis' character was Tony's.
Michael Rispoli (Jackie Aprile)
James Gandolfini... uno dei più grandi attori che abbia mai visto. Immenso...
I had no idea how much James Gandolfini acted! Great legacy!
I will always miss him, my favorite actor ❤️
I mean this guy is a masterpiece.
Watched True Romance after finishing the Sopranos, saw James and obviously my mind went "Tony!" A few minutes later... I forgot
Putting envelopes in his coat pocket since 1992!
One helluva actor he was. He is missed.
I will own everyone of these movies for sure anything with James Gandolfini it's going to be GREAT. R.i.p. James Jimmy AKA Tony Soprano!
He absolutely blew me away in 8mm, underappreciated film!
He was DEFINITELY "a man's man" (a lot like Gene Hackmann), and one of the BEST actors of our time (just like Hackmann)! We miss you so much James! Rest in Peace buddy!!🙏❤️💯

Can't deny, when he was young, he did have the makings....
Great Video, I miss "Perdita Durango" a Spanish movie from 1997 and a great performance form James Gandolfini
He was in so many movies but never heard of 95% of them. He was boss in sopranos tho.
You don't watch allot of movies that's all.
True romance get shorty 8mm 12 angry men the last castle the Mexicans and zero dark thirty are pretty famous movies
I see a glimpse of Tony Soprano in all his earlier clips.
He was a good actor and he will be deeply missed R.I.P to James Gandolfini
Now I have to watch all these movies!!!!
Will never hear a bad word said about this great man
At 3:52 that voice sounded familiar, it's Kathrine Narducci, who plays Charmaine Bucco (Artie Bucco's wife) in The Sopranos. She hates Tony so much, she even yells at him in other movies :D
Despite all his success... He never had the making of a Varsity Athlete. May he rest in peace.
Additional varsity athlete reference. Varsity athlete, the makings of, didn't have; Varsity athlete comment.
Every winter I watch the sopranos, Tony is living inside us. R.I.P James. Thank u for everything✌️🙏
he was in so many movies with Denzel
MrKing8050 John travolta also
And Brad Pitt too
3 I believe
Thank you for posting the scenes just as they are! It seems that a majority of people, on here, have to talk CONSTANTLY. It is especially annoying when the talk is during movie scenes.
Handsome and brilliant.
his smile never changed. 😢

Damn he looks so handsome in “She’s so Lovely”
He looked good with the beard
i liked him the most in sopranos and 8mm
These are either real events or dreamed events of Tony Soprano.
everythings feels like Sopranos
Not the movie where he wears a hair piece and glasses ;o)
amk kürd ü
That look of respect in Brad Pitt's eyes says it all.
RIP James. You are a legend.
Out of all of these movies, all I see Tony Soprano!
Now I gotta watch these movies
James Gandolifini was the only guy who could be Tony Soprano, the same way Heath Ledger was the only guy who could be The Joker.
Bad comparison, Nicholson and Phoenix don’t think the same.
Thanks for posting this video,I remembered him in True Romance","juror","get shorty".
He was not not a great looking guy but his personality talent and charisma made him so sexy!
I always thought he was the cat's meow;. Prrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
@@theresebeavers4045 more like a lion's roar tbh
Thanks very much for making this.
thanks for this list, I haven't seen a lot of these.
Rip James

alright but, this is tony right here no doubt about it.
Gandolfini ♥️😥
Orgoglio italiano 🇮🇹
Te seguiré Amando james gandolfini...
"Wrap it up, Janice."
I only just now realized he played n the last caslte
Джеймс Гандольфини гений!
Used to hang out at a club in Keansburg NJ back in the late 70's He was from Park Ridge NJ
The Last Boy scout didn't even look like him, i wouldn't have guess that was him in a million years.
It's what I was thinking. He was not casted at all
he actually drew my attention on 12 angry men then I saw a billboard of sopranos in city of new york obviously I knew that would be something very big...
The man, the myth, the legend, R.I.P.
That clip around the 2 minute mark is crazy. I’ve never heard anyone use the phrase “come heavy” except him in that clip and when junior tells him “come heavy or not at all” in an early sopranos episode
You don’t mean that
Can tell he got type casted immediately so that's probably what led to him eating more he figured he was always gonna play that role
Jim was a national hero and that’s that.
rip james
He isn't the most versatile actor. But at what he does do is world class.
He will forever be known as Tony Soprano
4:00 I can hear Charmaine screaming through the phone.
I was gonna make same comment till I read yours!
Carmel?
I didn’t realize he had been in so many movies
R.I.P. James Gandolfini
before...and WAY before
"The drop" great film
Whats the song playing during money for nothing and mr wonderfull ??

His “eating” scenes are excellent! No one can eat like janes!
Sad man... the only man I ever loved......
was the movie where him and tom hardy worked at a bar in this?
rip great actor.. see you later
I loved The Last Castle!!!!
Is that charmaine at 3:50 ??
Didn't know he did that many movies
Never realised how many times he played a character in the military or worked with John Travolta.
Best actor of all time
Grande James.
"The Man Who Wasn't There" is a great Coen Brothers movie that went released under the radar
Sad how human life doesn't worth nothing one day u here the other u down there rest in peace James 😔
3:07 Tony Soprano goes undercover!
he lived a good Life
