The original name of taxila was in Sanskrit - Taksh-shila - Carved/ Sculpted Rock. Taksh means to carve or cut, Shila means sculpture/ Obelisk/ Rock, indeed it was greatest civilization but unfortunately it's hard for majority(not all) of Pakistanis to accept that their ancestors were Buddhist/ Hindu/ jains,
thankyou so much for showing us , we wish to come there ❤

And we Pakistani very much sure about the facts that many of you don't know the real face of your ancestors in so called "India" as what they did to Buddhism in this land. Just read as follows:

@@Athato_BrahmajijnasaIn a dark chapter of Brahmin history, the once flourishing Buddhist community faced relentless persecution under the oppressive shadow of Brahminism. Brahminsm is not the oldest but one of the early belief system on this land. (Please note Brahmins also were Invaders from the north in this land). However the sinister saga unfolds with events that left an indelible mark on Buddhism's fate.
The Deorkothar Stupas: These sacred Buddhist stupas, nestled in the heart of modern-day Madhya Pradesh, were ruthlessly obliterated by the malevolent Shunga king, Pushyamitra Sunga. Their destruction was a cruel blow to the Buddhist legacy in India.
The Shungas: The Shungas, a Hindu dynasty, ascended to power in the 2nd century BCE following the collapse of the Mauryas. This dynasty sowed the seeds of suffering for Buddhists in India.
The Decline of Buddhism in India: The Gupta dynasty, reigning in the 4th century CE, marked the commencement of Buddhism's harrowing decline. The rise of Brahminism, coupled with the withering of trade routes, hastened Buddhism's descent into obscurity.
The Divyavadana: The Divyavadana, a chilling Buddhist text, narrates countless tales of Buddhists suffering under the ruthless hands of Brahminism, adding to the litany of atrocities.
The Mahasanghika School of Early Buddhism: This early Buddhist school, the Mahasanghikas, bore witness to the relentless persecution inflicted by Hindus upon the Buddhist community.
The Shunga Kings and Buddhism: A murky cloud of ambiguity shrouds the Shunga kings' stance towards Buddhism. Some scholars speculate they were more tolerant, while others suggest their ruthless hostility toward Buddhism.
The heart-wrenching story of the Deorkothar Stupas, the reign of the Shunga kings, and the decline of Buddhism in India unveils a tragic narrative of persecution, where Buddhism, a belief challenging the Brahminical system, faced eradication at the hands of those who saw it as a threat to their dominance. The historical record reminds us of the relentless oppression that led Buddhism to disperse far beyond the borders of its birthplace that is known today as "India" to the world. Must remember Sir, we are referring to the times when the kings used to record their paid history --- whether they were Greeks or mentally lower Brahmins on the land of todays "India".

@@appleoranges9772 You should understand that any religion biased book is not an official History. If that's the case then we have Ramayanas and Mahabharatas whose History goes back to lakhs of years.
Anyways, we have accounts from Shankar Digvijay that under Mauryan rule, the heads of the Brahmanas were chopped and thrown to crocodiles, they were crushed beneath the crusher when they were heard chanting the Vedas, many of them were thrown out of the universities and Kingdom, their Gurukuls were destroyed too.
So sir, should we consider Shankar Digvijay as an authentic history?? Blaming Pushyamitra won't do anything. Since he assassinated Brihadratha, the Buddhists close to Mauryan Clan wrote all false accounts against him. We also don't know when these books were written.

Takshashila was the site of the Oldest University town in world . There was not a single organised University . Rather there were separate schools / academies run by Gurus . These schools were called " Gurukulas " or " Shalas " . ( an Assembly/Conference halls is called " SALA " ) . Takshashila was home to some of the greatest scholars in history . PANINI -- author of ' ASHTADHYAYI ' . His brother PINGAL -- author of a unique book on Poetic meters . JEEVAKA -- personal physician of BUDDHA . But remember Takshashila came later . Area of Seven rivers ( SAPTASINDHU ) was the land of Vedas . Most notable -- SHAKALA ( Sialkot ) where the most famous rendition of RIGVEDA emerged . Recent Genetic studies indicate that people emigrated from this land and populated IRAN , Europe and Russia .
The Hun Elephant killer was MIHIRAKUL . It appears that later in life he changed . He decided to PUNISH HIMSELF . He ordered his own punishment . A slow painful death on a NAIL STUDDED BED placed ABOVE FIRE . No one in the history has punished himself like MIHIRAKUL .

Buddhist monasteries came later during Emperor KANISHKA rule ( 1st century BC ). 4th and last Great assembly ( SANGEETI ) of Buddhists was organized in PURUSHPUR ( Peshawar ) by that Emperor . Of note , 1st Buddhist literatures in SANSKRIT were written in KANISHKA 's court .

The ikshvaku lineage started from tirthankara rishabhdev or adinath who attained shiv pad Nirvana on mount kailash or asthapad
Down in the lineage there are 22 out of 24 jinas or Jain tirthankar from ikshvaku lineage same as that of lord Rama

Also guardian attendant diety of tirthankara neminath or arishthnemi, cousin of Krishna is goddess amba or ambika
She is referred as mother goddess and has lot of significance and she is kuldevi of many sects of Hindus
You can sign or lanchan of 24 Jain tirthankaras and go through the remains of Jain stupas excavated from kankali Tila expedition in mathura
Jain ayyagpata with signs of swastik, pair of fishes same on indus valley civilisation seals, dhamma cakra or dharma chakra, trident 🔱 and tirthankara with padmasana pose with Brahmi script inscription found

I am watching your videos from few months and I must say that you have done an incredible job to show all the places of Pakistan so far from a historical perspective and you promoted tourism as well. You also pushed authorities to do some work to save Pakistan’s heritage, hence you got some success as well. Well done.
Another things is, the way you speak fill with beautiful poetry not only Urdu but English and Bengali that is something need to praise at high pace. Your knowledge of history and philosophy is very good and you don’t feel shame if you are unaware of anything, that’s awesome. I recently given your channel name to so many Indians to watch your channel, especially people who likes poetry and history. I wish you good luck, your vibe is very positive. Keep up the good work.

BaalWala bhai, amazing amazing video. I just came across first time your channel and I am totally impressed at the way you gave tour of these Buddhist sites and made a heartfelt plea to PK government to promote tourism. You were very respectful of Buddha and Buddhism - that I appreciate, its very hard to find a Muslim who would extend kindness to any other religion.
I am Indian born US citizen for almost half a decade. I love Buddha's teaching and am an aspiring Buddhist. I would absolutely love to visit Takshashila (and the India/Nepal Buddhist circuit). This area would have an unimaginable economic boom if you develop tourism. The number of Japanese, Chinese, Korean, European and American tourists will be huge. It would be a life altering experience for people like me to meditate where King Ashoka walked and so many Buddhist monks must have practiced. Tourism is NUMBER 1 economic industry in the world. Why Pakistan consistently fails to exploit it to earn much needed dollars and at the same time display its softer image is just unbelievable. You open this up for tourism and guarantee safety to foreigners, I will be first in line to apply for tourist visa to visit. Thank you for this video.

Brahmi lipi is very ancient writing scripts and so samprati wrote inscription in Brahmi and kharosti as people could read those scripts then

For brief time , Sindhu sauvira janpada did go to Darius but later he had to return to persia as there was problem in his satrapy and later Alexander destroyed persepolis

Pakistan should promote tourism sufficiently so that interested tourists from all countries can visit the places. Pakistan can earn well through this and many can get employment. Namoskar! I must appreciate your wonderful effort to spread awareness in Pakistani citizen regarding our enriched history of Indian subcontinent. It’s really sad and very disturbing how invaders had destroyed such mesmerizing masterpieces. In recent history in 2001 we’d witnessed another heinous destruction of Bamiyan Buddha in the name of Religion. That time I was just a kid but I clearly remember the shocking broadcasting of this tragic event. People may convert or choose their path of faith but that doesn’t give them the right to vandalize anything which’s so precious. I can just wish Pakistani people will realise the importance of preservation of historical monuments or any artefacts after 76 years of partition rather denying our common past.
