I started watching this channel since it's inception back in 2014 and it was the legendary quality content this channel has made over the years and because of the OG creators voice that I fell in love with this channel. I know I'll miss listening to the OG narrator; as I've always "binge listened" to his videos when I go to sleep because of his soothing voice. But I'll say this - the new narrator is good and pleasing to listen to too, so let's all give him a chance. ✌️
When I hear a new voice without knowing who the speaker is I can only go by pronunciations. The speaker in this video is more likely AI generated. The mispronunciation of a simple word like alias as Elias is a dead ringer.

Yes, some of us fight change tooth and nail. This new guy is doing ok. The old og did have a very soft soothing voice. His voice brought it's own mystery to these stories. Yes, this guy is ok and reading just fine. I used to click on these videos whenever they popped up on my feed specifically because of og's voice. (It used to bug me to no end when I clicked and it turned out to be that other channel that also is blue and has a 5 in its logo). Aw, man!

Are people really whining about the narrator? Man I wish I had so little to worry about that narration of Top Five UA-cam videos was an actual problem in my life. This guy is fine. Stop whining.

yeah, for obvious reasons. many people's reason for listening to these videos was because they were relaxing. the first guy had a soft, relaxing voice. this guy sounds like some random schmuck. the content is great, but the voice isn't really a suitable replacement. also, nobody said this was a "problem in their life." people are just giving feedback, which is what youtubers should want. better that I tell him the new narration isn't working than that I simply unsubscribe and stop watching. which is what is going to happen if a suitable narrator is not found. this argument you gave, that this is not an important issue compared to other things, could be used to dismiss any criticism at all. like, no matter what you complain about, there's always a bigger problem it could be compared to. if you complained about having your leg cut off, I could say "stop whining, at least you're not dead," and it would be equally valid.
the existence of many greater problems does not obviate the criticism of a minor problem. is it a "problem in my life" when a restaurant gets my order wrong? of course not, and most of us have greater ongoing problems than a messed up order, but most of us would still complain. the reason I went to the restaurant was to get the thing I ordered. if I didn't get what I came for, then obviously I am perfectly justified in giving the restaurant my feedback, since if they repeatedly get my order wrong I'm obviously going to stop patronizing that establishment. "man I wish I had so little to worry about that a well-done steak was an actual problem in my life."
this is just a way of deflecting criticism by making it about the people rendering feedback instead of actually responding to the concrete issues that were raised. if you gave criticism about something _you_ were disappointed by, and I responded by asking you why you don't have more important things to do than to whine about minor issues, you would obviously find it ridiculous for me to suggest that you can't express disappointment about something while there are other more important issues. but since you aren't personally disappointed, you just trivialize the concerns of other people.
and before you shift the goalposts to making this about self-entitlement or something, nobody is claiming to have a human right to relaxing voice narration in top5s videos. people are just using the comments section to express their feedback. like writing a review. in fact, we're rendering a service to the owner of the channel, helping his business by warning him that he's going to lose subscribers (already has, in fact) if the videos continue to have loud, harsh voice narration.

@clifford4393 I disagree. What they have is mostly "circumstantial" evidence, however that is STILL evidence. And when a case has SO MUCH of it, it can't be ignored. And let's not forget Letby's own testimony, which is full of lies and deception. If she's innocent why is she lying about the most ridiculous stuff? 🙄
It's hard enough losing a baby but it must be worse knowing your baby was murdered by one of the midwives/nurses who were meant to be looking after them, my heart breaks for the parents of the babies 💔💔💔
I wouldn't be surprised if I found out that the nurse on the night shift maternity wing when / where my daughter was born was found guilty of the same thing.

I'm sorry for your loss. Unfortunatly premature and sick babies do sometimes die. Years ago barely any would live. Babies still sometimes die at home and we don't know why. It does't always mean someone killed them.

@malina1239 I can't 100% speak for the UK, but in the US, doctors constantly get away with assault and malpractice. As a woman, I would be terrified to give birth in a US hospital. The amount of assaults, r*apes, and even mutilations doctors are getting away with is astounding. I'm not the stereotypical "sue happy" American. (I make fun of people that sue over trivial crap such as food being too hot.) However, the only thing that gets a hospital's attention over here is money. If more doctors/hospitals were held accountable for their negligence and abuse, we'd have less of it... Again, though, I'm not sure if the UK actually holds their medical professionals accountable.

Just discovered this channel and all I’m seeing is comments from everyone criticising this new narrator.
I haven’t heard the old one yet but this one seems perfectly ok and I’m sure you would think so too if this was the first video you’d watched.

Did no one watch the last posted video from the OG??!! He posted letting all of us know he was taking a break. He's been posting 2 videos a week for 10 years and he now needs time to focus on himself for a bit so this new narrator is taking his place for awhile to allow the OG to do what he needs to do. He did say he'd be back to do creepy month. This is just temporary it's not forever. Posting 2 videos a week for 10 years is alot for anyone especially if they edit each one themselves! Everyone needs a break now and then so give the new guy a chance. No it's not the same and even i don't like change but i do understand someone needing a break once in awhile. 2 a week for 10 years is alot for anyone after awhile so give the new guy a break he's not trying to be the OG he's just giving the OG what he needs and that's time to focus on himself a bit. Most of us fell in love with this channel for its 'spooky, chill vibes' combined with a 'cool accent' (obviously amazing content too, but it's the vibe that makes the difference). You already have the content and the cool sounding accent, now you just need to work on that 'spooky' rhythm 😉 Nonetheless, all the best dude!

Also, the OG narrator’s voice was of course fantastic, but as time went on I could tell that he was losing juice, especially in the last couple of years. I couldn’t help but feel like he sounded a bit worn out and tired. I’m not surprised he’s taken a break. Everyone needs one!

The second story is just pure evil and insanity. What gets me raging mad is seeing her be treated so gently by police and learning that judges kept granting her bail and setting her free. Not to mention the complete ineptitude of the hospital staff in recognizing the fact they have a psychotic maniac on their staff! This is a pretty frustrating case but we tend to see frustrating cases similar to that one (especially in Europe). 😡😡😡

What the hell were the hospital doing dragging their feet it's disgraceful this is what they do pull together,she should have been removed immediately,as soon as questions were asked and noticing the deaths that she was present at, it beggars belief, people are under the illusion that all nurses and doctors are angels and most of them are but there is a tiny minority of a certain type of personality that is drawn to a job like this and it's not to help, it's to feed their sick desires,this is one that's been caught but looks how long it took. Isn't the Blue Hole that place where there's supposed to be giant human predatory octopi hiding in underwater cave systems?
I seem to recall, at the least, that there's an abnormally high death rate for swimmer and divers in the area.
This place is s likely to have a higher death rate for swimmers and divers, since more untrained and/or unqualified people, will go into the water there, even though it is quite far out of shore!
These kind of ‘underwater hotels’ (or ‘underwater rooms’) specifically, attract a higher number of UNTRAINED swimmers and divers.
The reason for this is that the whole concept is:
The people can BE UNDERWATER WITHOUT GOING INTO THE WATER!
They can simply remain in their own room and only have to look through the windows.
And since they are also brought to their underwater hangout by a boat, these people are able to enjoy all the beauty of the underwater world without ever getting wet!!
THIS MEANS THAT THERE IS NO NEED FOR ANY KIND OF SWIMMING OR DIVING EXPERIENCE OR ABILITIES:
It’s as if they are still on land…..
Except they’re actually far away from the shore…
But…… !
Even though they CAN enjoy the views from within the room, many guests will STILL choose to enter the water during their stay in those underwater rooms/hotels…
….including those untrained, unqualified people…..
On the other hand:
There are of course many, many places where people actually MUST swim in or dive under the water, to be able to see the magnificent, brightly colored fish and stunning views.
Such spots will automatically attract more people who DO actually have relevant diving and swimming skills, as well as plenty of experience.
More often than not, the businesses that take people out in their boats for diving trips, will require that their guest are certified divers, having done specific courses and pass the official diving exams.
For snorkeling and swimming a diploma/certificate is not necessary, but a decent level of experience and skills is desired, especially since they are often at open sea with the boat as their base.
The ODDS of more accidents and even fatalities happening in those places with the LESSER TRAINED people are therefore way HIGHER than in the places where people are simply better PREPARED, TRAINED AND EXPERIENCED for enjoying the underwater world…from within in the water….!!
There is absolutely NO need for any mysterious, scary and (of course 😉) IMAGINARY creatures to explain that higher death rate…..

Physical evidence includes part of a mantle, a beak, a partially shark-eaten body estimated to be twenty feet when intact and a twelve foot, one hundred and thirty five pound corpse. And a lot of a false reports that turned out to be whale blubber, because of course there were. Ah, to be clear, the mantle, beak and partially eaten body were all separate instances.
So while there is no need for it to explain the death rate, it appears to be far from imaginary.
That said, according to the locals' reports that don't include sensationalist nonsense like a backwards facing shark head;
1 - It only comes out of the caves when ill, injured or dying from breeding.
2 - It's only 'dangerous' if you get within tentacle reach while it has secured itself to a surface.
3 - It's rare enough that more than one sighting every ten years is considered noteworthy.

If it was active enough to really effect the casualty count, it would definitely have better evidence by sheer happenstance. We actually 'discovered' giant squid when one tried to eat a guy sleeping in a boat and he beat it to death with an oar, after all.
