Great post Wanda~ thank you. We've been looking at a few of these companies, so you doing an actual preparation demo & tasting is really helpful. I like knowing what to expect, you described it thoroughly. The price point on these products is way better than some, most of which I simply cannot justify~ this one is reasonable. Thanks again for taking the time~ God bless your day :) -Samantha
This was great, thanks, I've been looking for "what to stockpile for emergency" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Proutklarton Surviving Technics Plan - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my partner got cool success with it.
Interesting video Wanda, my husband was checking on this a few weeks back and I think he thinks it is not real food, I will have him watch your video. Good to see you today and take care and God Bless Always!
I'm with your husband 😁 very cautious about this freeze dried stuff. Besides, I don't eat mac n cheese anyway! Pasta with some homecanned meat will do just fine.
You guys are forgetting the point of these, they are not for regular meals. This is intended for an emergency situation. When your hungry and you need to survive your not going to care. I recommend mountain house, its probably one of the best tasting.
I think freeze dried foods have a important place in our long term preps especially for those of us that just can’t have large gardens to completely sustain ourselves. Those strawberries would by nice in my stored oatmeal for a treat. I to think about how I can add my own canned goods to other dry items stocked up. I like your idea of the cheesy hamburger Mac. I was also Envisioning a ham and cheesy Mac casserole cooked in the sun oven.😁 I’m trying to talk my son into building me a shelf system in my dinning room to place some of my own canned goods on, yours is so pretty. I would rather have that than a shelf full of trinkets.
I ‘m spoiled I put some chili powder on it an hot sauce, an keep a bag of graded cheese around. I’ve done all this last year. Even obtained 30 gallon soap barrels, flushed out an have map marked with artesian wells water tested safe. Not near people. Your doing well also I have my dried meats stored. An enjoy the patriot foods. Get the soups also if you can.
Mine came today! I had worried that I had made a mistake after I ordered. But I have to say I am actually shocked at how great the Creamy Rice dish is! If everything else is only half as good I will I will be very happy! I didn’t buy just emergencies. I like the idea of having quick easy things on hand. Great for us seniors!
Thank you Wanda for such good advice! I bought Mountain House dehydrated meals about 2 years ago. At the time I didn’t think to look to see if it had GMOs in them. I’ll have to look at them. I also have dehydrated strawberries, bananas, blueberries and beets. I’m glad that you are trying them. Thanks for sharing 👍
Freeze dried strawberries are so good! Love them. There is pomegranate yogurt bites that are out of this world! With your love of pomegranates Wanda, you should give them a try! The only thing is freeze dried is so very expensive!!!
Thank you so much for that Wanda, I have seen Patriot Supply advertised everywhere, but you are the first one to demonstrate and taste. We are retired and old to boot, so we didn't want to add pend our money on something we couldn't eat. Back in 2004 when we were hit with hurricane Ivan, FEMA gave out boxes of MREs, I simply couldn't stomach that stuff, each meal was like 2000 calories. So thank you so much for the demonstration. And God bless you and Danny always. Thankful Cristobal Didn't hit you too hard, sorry about the corn. Blessings to you.🙏🙏🙏🙏
I can't wait for the coffee video! I ordered a years worth for 2 people but never have tried it. I 've been thinking about the strawberries but they are so expensive and I plan to try dehydrating them myself this weekend and putting into mylar bags.
@@RoneysPlayNcreate Mine never last more than a few months cause everyone eats them like candy! I think I will start vacuum sealing them in jars cause it would be a lot cheaper!
Just as a point of information for anyone thinking that the 72 pack will last four days, 72 hours is three days. I have the 72 hour pack and it won't support two for four days as far as calories go. I lost my home in hurricane Andrew and in the days after a huge weather event with no power and debris everywhere, you'll be burning mote calories than usual. So this 72 hour (which is the total hours in three days) is only good for three days at best.
If y’all need those starberrys buy the bucket it’s got fruit veggies and snacks like broccoli sweet corn green beans blueberries strawberries oatmeal with molasses and other stuff I put a 72 hour package with broccoli and rice Mac n cheese and potato soup I also put two cans of chicken breast meat and plastic forks spoons and knives w salt pepper and napkins in the bucket now it’s full and sealed and ready to grab an go I’ve got the same at our cabin which is off grid and unknown lol
I like the dried fruit in oatmeal. I don't do anything other than add them to the oatmeal when I cook it. When I open the cans I put what I'll use within a month in the cupboard and reseal the remainder in a canning jar.
Thank you for the review. This reminds me of Thrive Life. It's good to have food for emergency situations. I like the idea of combining home canned goods with it. If push comes to shove, you could use the liquid from your canned goods to rehydrate the freeze-dried food.
We have 30 days of MREs, and 180 days of dehydrated food for 4 ( only two of us) . MyMrs says she ain’t eatin it. I tell her, ‘When you get good and hungry, you’ll eat it’.
in the long run, it is much cheaper to buy your own freeze-drier and put away some of your garden, leftovers, eggs, dairy, etc. Those packages such as the one from MPS (and other places) are mostly carbs, very little protein, and not much variety.
It's a very big expense to pay for the freeze dried units (yes it's on my wish list) and most folks would balk at it, although they do have units priced better now. Perhaps families could share the expense if they are of the same mindset. But the survival food they offer is all about calorie intake carbs are the way to go for quick survival calories. Most people will not can/dehydrate/freeze dry (and will not fund buying all the extra equipment to perform the processes) and this company provides a very reasonable solution for them at an affordable price. ;)
A few things to say: 1. We like the fire power in the next room, corner. 2. I suspect you may have not measured water exactly, looks a little watery. I do that all of the time. Excellent suggestions w mac. You're spot on..if we're hungry we will be thankful to eat it. 3. I love you and Danny. Please stop using Coffee Mate. That stuff is deadly, pure chemicals. I love coffee and teas. Use real cream or freeze dried milk, ANYTHING but Coffee Mate. You're video is top quality. No distractions. No music. Nothing fancy. Simple with clarity. Thank you far more than you probably realize. GBY.
Just started and some honest questions...you said no msg, or "no added msg"?. Also, with no electricity obviously you'd have to make a fire etc, do you find this actually worth it ($25 for some Mac n cheese which has a very long shelf life and be basically able to do the same thing) with so many alternative options out there?Just an honest question and your honest opinion. Take care from South Florida! Stay well 🙏
My Patriot Supply does a very good & aggressive job of advertising and sponsoring. But I also bought from another company that hardly ever advertises - Food 4 Patriots. I tried their Black Bean Burger Mix. It's really great stuff. Love it for breakfast.
Thanks Wanda! I've been looking at these. The problem is we eat organic. I worry about concentrating all the GMO's and pesticides when they dehydrate or freeze dry it. Still looking though. 😊
save your wrists! try this swing away lever can opener, Swing A Way Extra Easy Stainless Steel Can Opener, Black Handle got it from wally world online. a little spendy, but it opened a #10 can of Stagg Chili very sweetly!
Thank you for going over in depth. I am just curious when the grid goes out, what we plan to eat. Looks like this is good if there is power. Thanks and stay safe out there ma'am.
$25 for 4 days? $6 a day? I can buy 8 pounds of beans for $6. Same thing. Better nutrition. Solutions to complex problems don't have to be pre-packaged.
@@herewardthewatchful1014 never mentioned eating beans solely. Don't put words in my mouth and I won't put beans in yours. "Food fatigue?" Start with a "full belly" and go from there. Barter? Your move.

Thank you Wanda. I've been wondering if that stuff tasted any good. I wonder if they have stuff for diebetics. I've noticed most of those foods are really carb heavy, but I guess anything to eat in a emergency situation is better than starving.
I don't really understand the general dislike of msg. It is found naturally in all satisfying foods. Adding a little to something like broccoli to make it more satisfying is no different than eating a tomatoe that has it naturally. In my opinion of course.

It's not worth the money. If you want that type of food, just put up boxes of Kraft mac and cheese. Also, Mountain House food taste a lot better, and has meat in it.
