    Congratulations for your job. How do you manage that the 0,5 polypropileny plate bend over the leading edge to be able to press the fiber against the foam. Maybe here the leading edge is very thin, but in the wings the LE is bigger, and I dont know how you achieve that the fibergets the form of the LE until it meets the below fiber. Thanks

      Regarding the LE,
      as you can see at 0:09, scrape the LE of bagging plate to make it easier to fit.
      It's same in the works of wings.
      You can see how to work in the first part of the video below.

    Great skills! How do you design and calculate the exact airfoils and dimensions?

    • @kousakunin2008
      @kousakunin2008  3 роки тому +3

      The area of stabilizer depends on the wing area. Vertical stabilizer area should be 1.8-2.0sqdm. After downloading your favorite plan of the tails(like Snipe or Flitz)from the website, you can use them by blowing up to the actual size. As for the airfoil of tails, you can refer from the link below(HT22, HT23).

    What type of adhesive is this cf? Does it require a catalyst to kick off under vacum?

    • @kousakunin2008
      @kousakunin2008  2 роки тому

      It’s two-part curing type epoxy resin. You don’t need to add catalyst, but it cures faster when heated, for example by a electric blanket.

    Bigging?

  • @jurijblazin7835
    @jurijblazin7835 3 роки тому

    I made tails according to your steps but the main issue is leading edge. Carbon did not stick to the curved leading edge. Possible issues: mylar is not thin enough (0.35mm mylar) or mylar was not position correctly (acros leading edge). What do you think? Other than that tails are perfect. One has 5.8g and anoter 6.1g.

    • @kousakunin2008
      @kousakunin2008  3 роки тому

      I think it's because of the mylar. You should scrape the top, bottom and leading edge of the mylar. Please refer 0:25 of video below.
      ua-cam.com/video/PHYI3U6oAzs/v-deo.html
      0.35mm Mylar is too hard to fit.

      Thank you for your reply. I will try with Polypropilen foil (A4 maps) as I can get them in office shop. Is 0.25mm Mylar (PE) harder then PP(0.75mm)?

    • @kousakunin2008
      @kousakunin2008  3 роки тому

      As for the 0.25mm Mylar, no need to scrape the leading edge, I think.
      But if you can get mirror finish PP sheet at an office shop, I recommend PP sheet.
      The surface of PP is better than Mylar, so you can get better finish by using mirror finish PP sheet.

    • @jurijblazin7835
      @jurijblazin7835 3 роки тому +1

      I successfully made the tails using PP sheet (office shop)...it was for sure a problem with too hard mylar. Now the question what to use to make the wings?

    • @kousakunin2008
      @kousakunin2008  3 роки тому

      It's better to use PP sheet to make the wing. But it is hard to get a large size PP. So I think you have to use Mylar.
