Oh man, that's an action movie come back right there. "Come on Ray. You have to do this. For your wife. For your son. For battle bots!!!" *bot comes back to life with 2 seconds to spare*
I work with rays daughter in law, having meet him he is really nice. Me and a few of my friends have been working on a 110# bot and he has been very helpful and gracious to share his knowledge with us.
no just no last rights and tombstone are same bot just tombstones black and 30 lbs heavier also where tf did you learn that tombstones was made before last rights?@@angelafisher8097
Remini Q Copyright infringement with Battlebots, that's why Tombstone exists. If Last Rites went to Battlebots it could never compete in Robogames again, plus Tombstone is 250lbs and the maximum weight allowed in Robogames is 220lbs
they didn't want to get last rites tied up contractually to battlebots, so tombstone is essentially the same robot, just built specifically for battlebots
BattleBots requires unique names that can't be used when fighting in outside fights. There are many robots competing in the BattleBots this season that fight under different names at other events. Tombstone-Same robot...different name.
***** this is last rites, its a 220 ln bot tomb stone is ray's 250lb bot. two different bots all together. but it the same build but ray added more armor to the bottom of tomb stone and the bars on back. tomb stone was rays 1st bot wayyyyyyyyyyy back when.
Bronco tried that, it didn't work. You have to sacrifice to much armor somewhere else, or some other component weight to do hat. Tombstone/Last Rites are pretty much perfect all-around bots - and while they may lose here and there, their ability to make their primary weapon into their armor (active armor!) is the best asset a bot can have.
"One of the best fights on the RoboGames DVD." you know maybe i just have a different definition of good fights but no this wasnt great the wheels came of almost imdediatly making it an almost non contest. for the record i dont give a shit how much damage was cuased to the dead machine.
My favorite moment of this video was seeing the late, and gone-too-soon, Grant Imahara at the end in his interview with the losing team!

Rest in peace Grant Imahara
Watching old "BatlleBots", and there is Grant, always, R.I.P.
Who’s that?
"Red team show me motion"
"Well, you give us some more wheels then, and we'll be able to!"
Ray Billings is behind Last Rites? I shouldn't be surprised really considering his other famous machine.
3:24 holy shit cracked plexiglas in po0r shape. If that blade spins off and goes boomeranging, it could punch right through that weak point
I got to keep a piece of Scotsmans' wheel. :)
Cool!
Nice
Nice!!
I want a piece
lucky 😒
!! REST IN PEACE GRANT IMAHARA . .
Ray Billings Builds 2 Types Of Robots: Last Rites Of Robogames, And Tombstone Of Battlebots!
Would love to see Tombstone take on Carbite, US v UK
good fight, and decent production values. thanks for the upload!
Felt like a boss battle for last rites, one tire after another haha
4:32 why the heck is Brian nave randomly there?
because he can be xd
the only thing missing is him saying spin to win lol
He always comes back from the dead
To that first guy who is with Last Rites and keeps saying he is the most feared robot: YOU ARE NOT A ROBOT.
I was thinking the same thing lol
Was so cool when Last Rites went helicopter mode lol
At least tombstone and last rite is made by same person
I've never seen flamethrower doing damage to opponent. It's poor weapon.
Complete Control vs Bombshell, and Complete Control vs warhead.
Nice, thanks. Still there is better weapons, but Warhead vs Complete Control was awesome!
Yeah. Point is, flamethrowers can be effective, but they are _very_ situational weapons. I's better to have a flamethrower as a situational sidearm.
Pabcio its mostly for show dont bother commenting about this if it isnt a clamp bot, smother bot, or a dustpan cause its not.meant to be a weapon
It's for the show!! Sometimes that's better
cant wait till next robogames
RIP brother.
That was crunchy !
that bot is so lucky he didn't use his tombstone bot. that fight would end in seconds
The bots are basically identical.
+MrFrostburner they are!?!
Yes, Tombstone, Last Rites, and The Mortician are three generations of the same design.
Lets Not Mortician is in a much lower weight class.
But it is there same design essentially, just scaled down.
something like a battlebots vs robotwars (it was same thing until 1998)
so its been 2 years has the dvd been released yet?
Tombstone's Father?
Tombstone was built before Last Rites, so Last Rites is Tombstone's son.
no just no last rights and tombstone are same bot just tombstones black and 30 lbs heavier also where tf did you learn that tombstones was made before last rights?@@angelafisher8097
Important Videos
Tombstone was initially the name of a superheavyweight robot that Ray competed with back in 2004.
3:24 never celebrate too early
เกมหุ่นยนต์ เติมไม้เอกด้วย
Ragin Scottsman should've took out its flame thrower and put more armor on, especially the wedge
+John Carmody look up sewer snake vs last rites. Flamethrowers have bypassed it's armor before.
+Nathan Schubert what do you mean by this? Sewer snake's never ko'd last rites purely because of its flamethrower
Why not use tombstone in this event?
+la chaine du barge nope, 2 different robots, tombstone is the 250 pounder, last rites is the 220
Remini Q Copyright infringement with Battlebots, that's why Tombstone exists. If Last Rites went to Battlebots it could never compete in Robogames again, plus Tombstone is 250lbs and the maximum weight allowed in Robogames is 220lbs
nice
4:21 @ Yo Face !!!!!!
Why not Tombstone
they didn't want to get last rites tied up contractually to battlebots, so tombstone is essentially the same robot, just built specifically for battlebots
nilloc93 tombstone was actually built before last rites as a superheavyweight.
Thinh Pham because last rites is tombstone but in the old times, learn your bots
i thought this robot was called tomb stone
***** tomb stone is the new name...
I suspect a complete rebuild.
BattleBots requires unique names that can't be used when fighting in outside fights. There are many robots competing in the BattleBots this season that fight under different names at other events. Tombstone-Same robot...different name.
Greg Needel
yeah i noticed the same thing with sewer snake aka stinger
*****

JASONTRFS he has a 120lb one aswell it called mortician.
Look what happened at 2:58. That is fucking brutal.
flashpeter625 don't say the f u c k word bro
I need to shit
then you take your shit. and make it a good one
Doctor Hu I will. Thank you
flame throwers??? smh
Can any robo defeat tombstone ????
Coz I have not seen anyone
1:41 those brown scotsman lol
tombstone is so dope
Last rites
tombstone is so dope
this is a different bot, tombstone is 30lbs heavier
2:57 it's a flying tomb 😂
"One more?"
Last Rites + Tombstone = ????
A double-sided Tombstone
A double-sided Tombstone
Klepto-Bysmal
You mean, another RotatoR?
= Ray Killings
Exactly. Just imagine......
Need thick steel around the wheels so they don't get so easily knocked off.
That’s how you beat tombstone. You need to high center him
lol, haha

More of a nostalgia trip now in 2021. Peak 'Tombstone' obliterating it's opponents.
no worries about that cultural appropriation, ok?
this arena is the worst ever design ever! 2nd time I see a robot getting stuck in a corner because its shape!
I hate Ray Billings. He thinks he's so great.
Because he is....
He has every right to acknowledge the truth about himself. Which is: he's a great engineer (and a nice person).
