I very much enjoy these videos on Japanese culture. Please continue making them.
I will:)
"swallowed by people" is such an evocative phrase. Thank you for sharing!
samurai matcha and matcha samurai: completely opposite in energy -- one is zen and peaceful, they other one pure chaos -- yet they both put a smile on my face!
Haha! Someday I want to meet with him!
@@SamuraiMatcha please do a collab video! that would be hilarious!
I loved the last one. You share the best things. I hope you can go around and show us different places. I would love to see the gardens around any areas. The bamboo trees, flowers. Do you ever go to vintage shops? Love your videos.
Thank you Aki for making videos about Japan! We love them so much! You are the best youtuber! Who makes us happy and calm! Love Samurai Matcha❤ your videos have helped a lot!
Dear Samurai Matcha, I recently watched the film Perfect Days, which is a Japanese coproduction about a minimalist and intentional lifestyle. It reminded me of your videos so much! It's a great movie.
thank you so matcha 😂💙
I like this one🍵😂
yeah witty :)
I needed this today Aki! Your personality is a wonderful light to the world, keep inspiring us all. Love from America
In France, leaves clover is also a good sign haha. When I was a child, children spent a lot of time trying to find one with 4 leaves 🤭. But, people only said that 4 leaves clover bring you a HUGE good fortune in your life if you find him. And it's funny to remember how people - even adults - were SO happy and proud when they find one by chance 😂. Number 3 and 8 are also number of good forturne here, with number 5 too, but I don't know why haha. However number 3 is more common as a sign of good forturne here, I guess. Maybe because of the influence of the christians religion in our history, with concept of the trinity. But I'm not sure. Thank you for this video, it was really interesting 😊.
Samurai Matcha your smile is so contagious, I can't help but smile as well ❤
Hey Aki! I'm kento I just recently started your evening and morning routine. I've noticed such a big difference I've been more happier lately and i worry a lot less. The other day my mom asked why i was cleaning the toilet at 5am😂. Your videos are so amazing keep going ☺❤
Haha! Thank you so much! You are great:)
I love the Japanese 4 leaf clover! Hope and happiness mean so much more than fame and wealth!
Fame? Rubbish! Money?! Yes please!
I love your channel. ❤ Thank you! Hope you had fun on your bicycle race/ride. 😍🎉
Such a fun video, I didn't know about many of these 😊 Especially loved the double rainbow 🥰 Just finished reading 'The traveling cat chronicles' and the cat, Nana (because his tail is shaped like the Japanese character for 7), also saw a double rainbow with his owner 💕
Thank you for always watching my videos! Is that 旅猫レポート in Japanese right? I wanted to read that:)
@@SamuraiMatcha Yes that's the book :) I thought it was really lovely and I can definitely recommend it :) The kind of book that makes you feel so many emotions.
I very much enjoy your positive and informative videos. I also look forward to videos on your Mom's channel. She seems like a very special lady I would love to learn a lot from.
I absolutely love your positivity and happiness!!! You are the best, and I hope you always make content. Thank you for this lovely video; I needed it :)
I must always watch one of your videos before sleep. They are comforting
Glad you like them:)
i am cracking up at the clips of you running with toast, i love it!!🍞🏃
So cute! I love your good humor, and the photo of your childhood play--wearing bunny ears! It was interesting, as always, to learn about Japanese culture. 🧡
Love it! refreshing my mind 💙 I alway use your channel to remind myself what my japanese host parents used to say...and I'm born on the 8th ;)
Hehe the scene of you running with toast was so fun
Hi Aki! Another great informative and entertaining video! Thank you for sharing Japanese culture with the world! ☮️💛💛💛
Thank you very matcha, Aki! Those superstitions are so cute 🥰 we believe that 4 leaf clover 🍀 bring you luck with money, even more specific - you can find a treasure 😅
In my culture in Appalachia, we believe you must cook cabbage rolls and rice for dinner to bring wealth and Good Luck. Also, we must sew on January 1st, unless it falls on a Sunday. It is bad luck to sew anything on a Sunday. Thank you for you videos. I’m enjoying them very much.
Wonderful🎉I love watching your very interesting and informative videos about Japan which is very helpful for me as a foreigner living here a long while now. So happy and grateful learn more thanks so much❤

Hilarious, thanks for sharing with us! I would not mind bumping into you with a toast in my mouth.
Very happy to see this video
Make me enthusiastic and way of positive thoughts thank you sir.🎉
Love these videos! you are absolutely adorable…😂❤
YEAH!! Another video by Samurai Matcha! I've been waiting and watching for this for SO long! As always, you didn't disappoint.
Hope you enjoyed it!
The two superstitions that stood out to me the most are the one about the number 8 and the one about relieving nervousness. I'm actually beginning to learn Japanese so I'm interested to learn more about the language. And the 4th one is a very interesting way to think about nervousness. Thanks for sharing :) Your videos really helped me these past two months. I get rid of more things everyday and finally am developing good habits and have an established morning routine. The first part of the routine is to make matcha! But I haven't been able to have it these past few days because the one I ordered has even shipped yet. Not being able to make matcha actually affects how I feel :( Another part of my everyday habits I got from your video about chanoyu inspired tips to keep one's room simple : cleaning/organizing when you wake up and before going to bed. But anyways. Getting rid of more and more things feels so great. I changed and am getting better, and your videos have once again been a big part of that. Thanks :D
Mao Asada got me rolling 😂😂
It’s 4:44am and I’m so happy watching this video!! The running late for class with toast in mouth not paying attention to one’s surroundings! I remember seeing this in Project A-Ko…at FULL power!!😂
And today I ❤ my big ears 😊 sweet video 🍀 Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you
Some day I'll go to japan to learn more about japenese culture and meet so many people like you bro. 👍👍 I ❤🇯🇵
Dear Aki, 💚
thank you for conveying so much positivity and joy through your videos. I often watch them when I'm not in such a good mood and have not only gained a smile on my face afterwards, but also new inspiration. 🍵
I find superstition (as long as you don't limit your life because of it) a very cute and childlike thing - a kind of socially accepted magic that adults still take seriously.
If we can believe in superstition, shooting star wishes or magic words for our tea, then it also means we can believe in manifestation and the law of attraction, because it's the same principle. 😀
Love and Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
So clever! I really enjoy these videos. :)
Loved this video, but you didn't have my favorite that my Tea Sensei taught me, "you add 100 days to your life buy eating something new to you". Good luck to you.
Your videos are educational and entertaining. Keep it up.😊
Love your content ❤️😀👍
Good informational video
The second one is perfect for me because my birthday is the 8th of Oktober 😊
What a nice and informativ Video, thank you
Wow! That's great! You are a naturally happy person:)
We're coming to Japan soon! 🇯🇵
Love Japan and Japanese culture❤
Great video!
I’ve stayed in house no.8 (17, 71..) they have all given me abundance
4:40 Yes, and I can see the connection to 4chan and Koiwai Yotsuba!
That is very funny. Thank you.😂
I just made a cup of superfine dragon well tea and got the vertical stem!
That was fun, Aki. I wake up really early, so I don't rush for breakfast. Perhaps I should 😉 I have quite big earlobes, so that's good 😉
Who dreams about eggplants?.. 😂
🍆 I do! 🤣🤣
I think I am born with an 8! lol but I had a string of bad luck. Until I decluttered. 😊 The energy of others - very real! Keep up the great videos!
Thank you so matcha
I loved
All interesting
These are wonderfully adorable. 😍
By the way, my lucky number used to be 7 but a few years ago I adopted Japan's number 8. 😁
Interesting ❤
Sailor Moon running late..with a piece of toast in the mouth running into her crush..
The symbol on the palm of the hand is very like the 'tapping 'technique .. it distracts and relaxes.... 70 yrs old, just made my toast, what do you think of my chances? Love your cheery updates...
I am 67, and I'm making toast, too! 😂
@@JMcYrk 🤣Got to live in hope , in accordance with the four leaf clover!
In a past life I was Japanese
Wait wait wait...the Ferengi were right all along? Talk about having the lobes for business!
and I got a Kit Katt candy.. and said... "kitsu, katsu... you shall surely succeed" in hopes of a win.. sadly my wins are far and few between because my spine aged 100 years behind my back but maybe I can over come this challange too💫🌠 thank you! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Omg ! For the number 8 ! I was born 08/08/1998 😆😆😆
WOW!!!
I thought you might say number 8 was lucky being related to the Noble Eightfold Path of Buddhism.
In Germany we also say big ears mean wealth
The first dream of the year..haha...At the end of Ep11. of "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" one of characters (Shouta) first dream of the year he dreams all 3..But hey were all made up of the goddess (Lucoa) he accidently called up while performing a demon summoning spell....hehe...Also one of the opening scenes in the anime "K-On!"..the main character rushes out of her home on her way to school and takes a slice of toast with jam on an eats while running!.
Me wanting to dream about eggplant because eggplant is yummy.
One time I've seen quadra-rainbow in my granny's village
#Great !!
I have big ear lobes. In my country, it is associated with long age and leadership because most leaders in my country had large earlobes and they lived long.
Even eating katsudon is good luck itself.
😊
I have tiny lobes but elfish ears in height.
I love how a manga can have such a huge effect on the way love is viewed in Japan.
One of my best friends easily finds four leaved clovers constantly. I think I found one when I was a child, but she finds them every year several times a year. It is amazing.
In my upbringing, a rainbow is a promise that God will not destroy the earth with a flood and shows that he cares for us.
You are very very cool.
❤
I just want to know, did “people” give you a tummy ache after you swallowed them? 😂😂😂
sensei, can you make a japanese poster samurai
Hmmm, wonder if it means anything, when I'm awakened several times in the middle of the night, by what sounds like one lone "strum" on some type of japanese guitar, (idk the formal names of such instruments, sorry, so couldnt tell you exactly what it was, except to say it sounded like some type of Japanese stringed instrument), followed shortly afterwards by the tinkling sound of wind chimes, (like bells, not bamboo), when all windows were closed, & there were no chimes in the house to account for it?
My only interpretation so far - I have been watching old Japanese movies from the 1930's lately. Think maybe it stirred up some Japanese ghosts from the past, (like the actors in the old movies maybe - who are likely all passed away?), who decided to stop by, & say Hi? Or just scare the beejeezus out of me...
Anyone else have any ideas?
Happily, my earlobes are LARGE.
Yeah!
Funny in numerology 8 is a lucky number for money/riches
(Dates, birthdates, checks, etc)
You guys are onto something 😳
