I note with my experience with similar equipment for over 40 years' professional engraving. Not been discussed here: . even with calligraphy skills, you will need to gain skill in using a spinning tip which is cutting into surfaces and will resist cutting tough surfaces including glass. . It is nothing like using a pen/inked nib or a brush, it is quite unforgiving. . Unless good competence is gained (extensive practice needed) as you touch a surface, the tip will want to run off that surface. . On glass, it is best to use scrap bottles --as during initial stages-- spending any money on bottles will be wasted as they will be messed up through exercise work. Be aware of accidents. Keep the supporting hand away from path of any possible slipping --as tip is sharp, including round diamond crusted tip.--. Check warranty limitations with any equipment and whether replacement chargeable batteries are available.
Hi there I am have difficulty getting smooth lines . They feathery and not solid & smooth. And on black or dark bottlle its also not smooth especially Tom Ford and the Pink Klin perfumes. PLEASE HELP
the only alternative I've found is using acrylic ink + nib/pen to fill in the lines. it's more time consuming, but nothing else we've found has worked.
Hi! At this time, my engraving content is included in my course, The Craft Academy! it may help to use a smaller bur, use bur lube, and slow down your rpm until you get more comfortable with your engraving. All of these are in my Amazon storefront!
I don't sell these bottles, they're gifts for my coaching clients! However, if I were to put a monetary value on it, I charge a minimum of $50 per item engraved!
