Hi ashylnne, Please make a video on how to do the tasks when we are not in a mood to do anything and wants to just lay down. How do you do all your works without feeling lazy/overwhelmed? Please do make one video on this, it will be helpful!. Love from India.

Heyyy Ashlynne! I was just thinking that I’d LOVE to see a “minimalist car tour video”! When I drive I don’t feel comfortable but I’d like to feel less stressed while taking long drives in a decluttered car
Your 10/7 rule sounds like our "Resetting the Battlefield pick up".... we have two kids 4 & 3yo and a 900sqft house.... each night my husband and I (with the kids most nights) run around and tidy up the whole house. Which is so easy to do in our simplified home. So nice to start fresh each day ♡
@@priscillajimenez27 thanks! Its great, I find my kids randomly cleaning and picking up their rooms without being asked throughout the day.... dont get me wrong they are still VERY capable of Class F5 Hurricane damage as well 🤣
A big rule would be: if clutter keeps building up in a certain area, those things need a home somewhere else, or in a new storage solution, or that category needs to be decluttered to eliminate overflow. Don’t attack the whole house: notice the problem areas and work on those to figure out why it’s happening and what the best solution might be.
Totally agree! Realized that socks weren't making it to the laundry bin but just accumulating by the door... So bought a little sock bin for next to the shoe rack!
One of my favourite habits has been keeping a wish list, this could be anything from makeup to a holiday. When i'm considering making a purchase, i ask myself if it's worth getting over saving for something on my list. Most of the time it stops me wasting money on things less important to me.
This was helpful. My morning routine now includes washing my dishes and making my bed which helps me feel accomplished and makes my space inviting when I come home
Having a quick tidy up every day is so useful! If I can’t do my full nightly tidy up routine, I set a timer for 1 minute per room and then do what I can within that time. Love that you say look inside cupboards, drawers etc. So many people forget that even clutter you can’t see can sometimes make you feel uneasy (it does for me 😅)
Watching your videos has inspired me to tidy one thing in my house every day. It has made a huge impact and it’s no longer something I check off on a ‘to do’ list, it’s a habit now! Thank you!
Thank you Ashlynne for this video the last few days I've been kind of a slob not cleaning or picking up after myself so today I woke up on time saw this notification and I played this video while tidying up my environment I feel much better now and the tips are so helpful
I really liked the making time suggestion! Especially given the fact that 20 years ago we didn’t have social media yet here we are making time for that. 💯
omg i just was searching how to get rid of spots and a video of urs from 2012 popped up. i decided to go on ur channel and wow u grew and have done so much! i havent watched this video yet but im just happy to see how much u grew ur channel and how much ur video has improved! i hope u know that u're doing an amazing job and i hope u r happy 🥰🥰
Great video, thank you Ashlynne 🙏🏻 I need to implement the 24 hour wait for purchases as I have phases of impulse shopping (mostly books so probably should look for a library even though most don’t have many books in English).
I recently joined my local library (finally!) and now it's much easier to declutter books because I know I can access them again if I really wanted to. I also live in a non English speaking country and prefer to read in English so what I did is join the biggest library and rent the English eBooks which is also possible if you don't live in the city with the library :) I still have a lot of physical books but I enjoy the calmness of just having my favourites around and a lot more available at the drop of a hat. And for the books not available at the library I created a wishlist that I share with friends and family before Christmas and my birthday. Happy reading to you 💕📚
I live in a very small place and I been implementing the 7/10 for a long time... Since it is very small i get a lot done during those 10 minutes, I also do a quick cleaning!!
I would love to know where to find those cabinet dividers that you separate the cookie sheets and skillets. My cabinet where I have these is so cluttered
how do you guys like the Sonos speakers? my bf and I just had a conversation last night about getting Sonos. he's trying to sell me the idea by saying they're great quality so as a minimalist I should approve 😂😂
Oh my goodness they are incredible!! Literally, I didn’t realize you could get sound that good outside of a movie theater! 😍😍 An investment for sure, but definitely one I’d recommend!
If it’s a conserve item I try to do they use it up thing it’s fun to see how fast it takes to use it up or if I used it once and find absolutely hate it or I don’t really love it it goes in the garbage lol
I decided to wear more make up. I used to spend hours a day playing/practising to be a makeup artist and I have a lot of makeup still... I don't want to be a make up artist anymore but i decided to wear it all up at the start of covid... 😷 Covid is not makeup friendly lmao
Hahaha it’s definitely not a traditional grip. But I guess it’s sometimes taught in the Canadian school system for left handed kids? Or at least I was taught it 20 years ago. 😂😂😂
I'm tired of all the PUB !!! Plus don't say that the discount is for your viewers. They basically send the code to you and then you give it to us !!! The company does not favor in any ways your viewers over another youtube channel !!!

Oh I’m so glad to hear that! That’s awesome!
Love the 10/7 recommendation. It's so easy to get overwhelmed with all there is to do, it's smart to take it in small chunks.

What are you using to store your baking trays? I need something and it looks like a felt/material so wont clang or scratch?

I love your sweater!! Did you get it thrifting? Love you
I am actually renting it from Nuuly right now! I’ve been on a big clothing rental kick recently! ✨
@@AshlynneEaton I’ve never tried renting cloths, but I’ve heard people talk about it
This is exceptional. I encountered something similar, and it was mind-boggling. "The Joy of Less: A Minimalist Living Guide" by Matthew Cove
I do the Use it up 🤩
It’s such a powerful habit!!
Is not wearing shoes a big part of minimalism? Because I rarely ever wear shoes at home anyway so that would be a fun first step
Used to be a fan not anymore since u support better health and make it seem better than actual therapy
I’m eating more smoothies. This is new for me.
Great!! Omg I needed this
Oh I’m so glad to hear that!!
What is this couch!!!! I need it!!
It’s from IKEA!! I think it’s called the Freighten couch or something like that 😅
Hey I love your stools where did you get them?

This is one of the way UA-camrs make money. This is "free to us" content but takes them a lot of work. :)
You are getting free content. The “pub” seems a pretty low price to pay.
