- Hello, thanks for stopping by! Here is a quick video on how I take care of my Louis Vuitton handbags! I personally believe less is more and to just enjoy the bags, marks and all!
I forgot to mention, I use the same wipes to wipe out the inside of my bags as well, all material types and it works perfectly! I think these wipes are safe and gentle enough to clean the inside as well! Also, do this every few wears or as needed!

If the wipes are just water, why not just use a damp cloth? What is the point in buying the wipes?

I went to clean my patent leather Tory Burch Miller sandals the same night I cleaned my handbags and amazingly enough the scuffs were instantly removed from the patent leather. I used pure water wipes on my vachetta handles 2 times and the leather on the top and bottom piece started separating, probably got too saturated. I would caution anyone to use on vachetta. Also, LV will tell you not to use wipes on canvas, causes cracking. Never store bags in boxes also can cause cracking, let bags breath, store in dust bag. Extreme temperatures also cause cracking.
I think canvas is a lot tougher than we all think. I placed my delightful on a stool that I had painted weeks prior (thinking it was dry 😩). The next day I had to literally pull it off the stool, it was stuck, and yes the paint was all over my two week old delightful. So, with nothing to lose, I got my acetone nail polish remover and got that paint off the canvas. No issues. I wiped it after with baby wipes to remove any acetone residue and it came up like new with no issues months later.
I actually agree with you, it is extremely resilient! I just think with how much they cost, nothing wrong with being extra careful if you can! Thanks! XOXO

Thanks for sharing. I don't used baby wipes on my vachetta either because the one time I used it I find that the leather looks a lot drier and has lost its shine, so never again!!

Hello, thanks for your video! Yesterday I noticed a bit of chocolate on the canvas of my LV Crossbody (mischievous nephews!) and I wet a bit of tissue with saliva first (I was in the car) and then water when I got home. I got the chocolate off almost instantaneously but I noticed that there was some greenish-yellow residue on the tissue as well, so I continued to wipe it down. I started to panic as there continued to be so much of it wherever I wiped! I stopped thinking I may be damaging the canvas, took it to the store, but they were very unhelpful and couldn't give me any advice at all. The manager told me it had a greenish hue and that I shouldn't have touched the canvas with water or anything at all. I'm a bit down thinking I may have damaged my bag which I've had for years and have kept in pretty good condition. I'm not sure I buy what the LV employee told me, so, I wanted to ask, have you ever had a similar experience? Is it just grime or has something caused the PVC to dissolve?
Layla Al-Ghawas I am also under the impression that if you use wet wipes on the canvas it causes discoloration. You said the manager told you that it had a greenish hue - did he mean it currently has a greenish hue as the result of your cleaning, or that the bag was supposed to have a greenish hue to begin with?

I wipe mine with baby oil, not a bunch, but just enough to give them a sheen. No finger prints 🥳
I scratched my rivoli pm while trying to wipe it :( is anything can be done about scratch? Would it go away when the leather darkens? I feel so sad about it. Should have been more careful. Didn’t realize how sensitive the leather is.

What would be the best way to disinfect a bag? This may clean it but what if you need to deep clean it. (For example if you bought a pre loved item, you don't know where that person has been and you would rather be safe than sorry germ wise)
I would be careful with anything used to disinfect. The chemicals might damage the canvas/leather. I've always used these wipes and felt they did a good job. However if it was very dirty I could see how you might want more.
I regretted using baby wipes on my vachetta handles...it became dry and lost it's shine...

i just bought mine and i got makeup on the handles :( i wiped it with a wet cloth but now theres this dark wet spot...i hope it dries back normal..i should have used a dry one

I use packing tape to pick up all the tiny hairs, crumbs, etc. that get inside my purses!
I just bought my first Delightful MM....should I use a protectant on it first? I'm coming from Michael Kors and I have a spray they recommend to spray on your bag before you use it.

Thank you for sharing, I own a Neverfull MM in the mono and have a Speedy 30 in the Azur. ANY tips on cleaning the azur!? I am desperate! Thank you!!
I use the Water Wipes- thanks to Amanda- to clean the DA canvas and have had great results. I don't clean the vachetta with them- just the canvas. The best advice I can offer on DA is to be careful about color transfer- don't carry cross body when you are wearing dark colors- especially dark denim which is notorious for bleeding. It's such a fresh looking canvas and very pretty but a lot of people are worried about color transfer. I have a 2011 Speedy 30 that has zero transfer (knock wood). I just bought the Favorite MM in DA and am being more cautious since I carry that one cross body. Enjoy your bags- you don't need to baby them. Just be cognizant about dark colors. (I also use a bag organizer in my Speedy DA, just to protect the lining). Hope that helps.

You can try doing a wipey all over to try to make the lines around the watermarks less harsh, but they may not completely go away. You can also use leather cleaners, though I never have. You might be able to take it to a shoe hospital and have them clean it! XOXO

Not at all! I just wouldn't soak it!

I just purchased a preloved delightful mm and the inside has a cigarette stink to it. What would be the best way to get rid of it? I've tried leaving dryer sheets overnight in it and it helped for a couple days but then smell came back. Do you think it's safe to wash the inside?
I allowed my cousin to use one of my givenchy bags. The smoke smell was horrible. I mixed baking soda and water (make sure the water is cloudy) and wipe the interior down (do not saturate it). Place a charcoal bag inside and tie it tight in the dust cover. Make sure you tie it tight. The link is below. This worked well for me. Hope it helps.

@@starrypunk20 I was going to suggest soap and water. I accidently left my bag on the vanity unit which had soap and water. I wiped it off with a damp towel and it was all good and new again.

Your bags have beautiful patina! What are your thoughts on covering handles (like with an Hermes twilly or another scarf). Would that mess up the leather or create an uneven patina?
I have one on my pochette metis and love it, but I will be honest I am not a fan of the look on most bags. I don't have an issue with the uneven patina at all!! XOXO

Once I have reached the golden honey patina, can I wrap the handles (Speedy Bando 25) with a Tilly scarf to prevent it from darkening over time?
I don't see why you couldn't? I think that's a great idea if you want to slow down the patina process. It will probably still patina but less.
