Thanks so much for sharing these cleaning methods...I tried them on a vintage bag (10years old) that I bought and it turned out BEAUTIFUL! I love the results so much 😍😊❤
Hi Maria, I don't have a video that specifically addresses cleaning the interior. I did try to remove pen marks in my LV NF pm and in that video I discussed to check for color fasting before cleaning the lining. I always use distilled water. For the solvent I've used carpet cleaner/upholstery in the past but I am going try to detergent soon. So I'll have to film that video one day. Thanks for asking.
Great video! Will this method lift watermarks on the vachetta? I have faint watermarks on my metis handle. It’s never been sprayed or treated but I wanted to try something to lift or blend them more before spraying water repellent spray. Thanks for your help!
you probably dont give a shit but does someone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost my password. I love any tricks you can offer me
@Devon Archie thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Thank you for the wonderful tip! Would you recommend using the Lexol leather conditioner after using the cleanser? What sealant brand do you recommend?
Sorry, you can't remove hand sanitizer stains. That actually has caused chemical damage to the leather and it can't be removed. Honestly you just have to be very careful with hand sanitizer.
Great Video, I have had my share of mishaps w/ very expensive products darkening my vachetta. Do you feel that the distilled water does NOT darken ? Why do raindrops stain then? Maybe minerals in the water? I want to try it again but I'm so scared my vachetta will darken. Please let me know your thoughts. thanks so much !!
Hi Marie, When I did my research on water, I throughly researched ph values. Distilled water is neutral at 7, which is similar to leather so it will not effective leather. Distilled water also does not have any minerals like pure water, so it wil not leave mineral deposits. Tap water ph values vary from 6.5 to 9, but it can also be acidic. Rain is very acidic and will cause a bad reaction to leather, that's why you see stains from it. I should make a video explaining this more...overall just use distilled water.
@@ashxlreviews Thank you. Yes I have since learned about ph. Do you also feel water wipes are safe as well then as far as darkening? I wonder if it did make mine a tad darker after use, that could just be my ocd taking over, lol. thank you for your reply!
It has a slight smell but not it's honestly not bad. I'm letting the leather dry out for a few days and I'll talk about it when I condition the leather. Thanks for asking.
I just used distilled water and it turned out beautifully. Any suggestions on glue that won’t darken the vachetta leather and dry clear? One strap is about to tear apart.
Hi, I just bought a preloved bag and wanted to do a deep clean. But do I have to condition it first, wait 24hrs for it to dry and thennnnn deep clean? Or could I just deep clean?
Thanks for sharing. I personally have not used the Lexol Deep Conditioning product, but I will say any conditioner you apply onto the leather will make it darker. It could also be signifcanlty darker also depending on the type of the conditioner you use, so that's why I always recommend to test it out first before you continue to the whole bag.
Wonderful video! Thank you for these helpful tips! Curious, I sprayed water repellent spray on my brand new untreated vachetta about a year ago now. If I’ve noticed an oily stain would you suggest still going thru with these tips even after the water repellent spray has been applied? Thx 💕
Good job on putting your water repllent on your new vachetta!!! I would definelty still do a basic cleaning on the leather, maybe once a year just to remove dirt or oils. Then spray the water repellent on again. Thanks for sharing!
I can't seem to buy apple guard where I am. Do you have any opinions on havre de luxe protection spray? I purchased a vintage delightful pm and want to follow your steps. Buying lexol cleaner and Chamberlain conditioner and healing balm.
Hi Claudia, I'm not sure where your from but I was able to get mine from Amazon. I'm also sorry I have not tried any Havre De Luxe Products. Congrats on your preloved Delightful PM, I hope it turns out well!
Umm... not recommended by LV. Saddle soap says not to use it on "delicate leather." But I would personally would not use it on my vachetta leather. 1. It's alkaline, ph level is high. 2. Texture is too thick for vachetta. 3. It may also really darken patina.
You technically can not lighten patina. You can decrease water marks. I don't own a bag with a signifcant amount of watermarks to demonstrate this...but I will one day. Thanks for asking.
Hi. My LV bag is 7 year old now. Never cleaned though. It has a very dark patina color and black marks due to rubbing it again clothes I guess. So, can I still deep cleaning it with the deep conditioner and would it be a more lighter patina? Thank you!
Honestly it all depends on how much you wear your bags. Normally for basic cleaning I would just do it every now and then. Deep cleaning would be for more dirty bags and this would be only once a year.
Hi I'm sooooo excited, the Big LV. .CAN YOU HELP ME N AT LEAST GIVE MEN( RUFFLY A PRICE?MY LVIS CLEAN I JUST WANT A ( SHINE?) N I JUST ( LOVE!!!,MY PURSETY. ROSIE AGUILAR!
Hi Monica. Sorry about all the confusion. To be clear I never used Lexol Conditioner on my demonstration. I choose not to use it either because I was unsure of the ingredients. The Chamberlains Leather Milk- Formula No1 Leather Care Liniment had more benefits and was water-based, so I used it in my demonstration. I would use this one again because the results were great. I hope this helps. Ash
Ok to be very clear the Lexol CLEANER is what I used to deep clean the leather. It is ph-balanced, so I determined it was safe to use as in the demo. The Lexol CONDITIONER was never used by me, I am unsure of it's ingredients. To condition the leather as in part 2 I used Chamberlains Leather Milk- Formula No1.
Using the Lexol and a small makeup brush worked wonders to clean the Vachetta leather on my vintage LV bags!! TY!! 😁
Your welcome!

beautiful!!! How do you clean the pink inside of a Propriano Azur LV bag? do you have a video on it?

@Devon Archie it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy!

Thank you for the wonderful tip! Would you recommend using the Lexol leather conditioner after using the cleanser? What sealant brand do you recommend?
I do not use the Lexol Leather Conditioner, it does not work well on vachetta leather.
@@ashxlreviews Thank you very much!
Hi!thanks for sharing! I just bought the speedy 20 and already there are water stains from rain. What kind of water repellent do you use for your LVs?

did the lexol leather cleaner you were using in this video had weird smell? I thought so. Will it make the bad smell bad?

What kind of sealer spray do you recommend?
Hi do you have any recommendations for mold on the bag
tried this. bag looks nice & clean!
Great to hear!
This is great information. Would deionized water be even better?
Honestly I don't know. From my research, the professionals have always said distilled water is best...but you can try and let me know.
I just used distilled water and it turned out beautifully. Any suggestions on glue that won’t darken the vachetta leather and dry clear? One strap is about to tear apart.
@@akwade6360 Thats awesome. I have a video about burnishing coming up soon. Hopefully it’ll help with your straps.
@@ashxlreviews Thanks so much. I waited waaaaaay too long to take care of the leather. But back then, there was no UA-cam.
Hi, I just bought a preloved bag and wanted to do a deep clean. But do I have to condition it first, wait 24hrs for it to dry and thennnnn deep clean? Or could I just deep clean?
Do the deep clean, then let it dry 24hrs and finally condition.
Hi i would like to share my experienced, after doing deep clean i rub my vacheta using lexol deep conditioning then i got darker color tone

Can I use any cloth or very specific for micro fiber? Thank u
Microfiber is my personal preference, it's soft and doesn't scratch leather or leave fibers behind.

what are your thoughts on using saddle

please post a video on how to clean lv vernis leather. thank you. ❤️
Great suggestion! I don't have that material though :(
Thank you for this helpful video! Have you noticed whether wiping the vachetta with a wet cloth darkens the patina?
Your welcome. From my experience, no water does not significantly darken the vachetta at all.
Hey Beautiful thanks for your Amazing tips!!!. You are help me save a lot of money with your video.
What Brand if Water Repellent do I use?
Your so welcome. I use Apple Brand Garde.
How to remove the ink?
I just bought Lv alma and has a lot of water stains. Would it lightened the bottom and not show water marks?
You technically can not lighten patina. You can decrease water marks. I don't own a bag with a signifcant amount of watermarks to demonstrate this...but I will one day. Thanks for asking.
What about if in Finland not have lexo?😢

can this help with waters marks on a LV Montsouris MM
Honestly, I don't think you can. You honestly have to prevent them, with water repellent or wipe the water off immediately if any get onto leather.
What kind of brush us that?
Its a real techniques brush.
How often should it be cleaned like this ?
Honestly it all depends on how much you wear your bags. Normally for basic cleaning I would just do it every now and then. Deep cleaning would be for more dirty bags and this would be only once a year.
Hihi
Can I use luxol conditioner after that
Yes you can, that's what I did in my second part of restoring the leather.
