I have been teaching myself how to make this chain and it gets so difficult at the twisting part, thank you for making this video I’m gonna do it the way you did it and take my time and twist each link individually the outcome is amazing as always
Sanjeev Basi Thank you this was my first time making a Cuban link I all so found it hard to do what I’m going to try next time is to do round links instead of over links and good luck all the best
I find it easy twisting the links starting at the bottom with two flat head pliers. With the left hand I hold the first link and the right hand I twist up or down but you also need to keep the chain tight.
What a brilliant craftsman you are. I wear a thick 147g curb chain and it’s amazing to see how much work and skill goes into them. They are lovely chains and a firm ‘favourite’ with many people. A timeless classic! Well done! 👍🇬🇧
The amount of work, moving the camera, the editing, the actual jewelry with the mistakes and over coming them, this is so satisfying. Oh and your not begging for subs, so you got mine😂
I recently just purchased a handmade Cuban link gold chain. Wouldn’t have it any another way! So much integrity and work goes into making these pieces. Very proud to wear it. Great video and beautiful work.

Instead of smashing each individual link with pliers to make them oval, wrap your bar around something oval instead of round and the links will all be perfect ovals.
Im pretty sure he knows this already...and real jewelers ( in my opinion of course) improvise and get the job done perfectly even when they dont have the exact fancy tool on hand 👌 Thats what i really love about old school jewelers. Real artists 🙌
Giancarlo Buscemi lol no 3 links are together and another 3links are together so I have use one more to link them together that’s 7 thanks I needed that made me laugh
I just started my first chain. I'm using copper before I upgrade to silver, then maybe gold. The twist seems to be the most difficult part. There is so much fake stuff on the market, I have to get my metal and then make it myself to be sure it's real.
Does anything change when you buy wire instead of making your own I just ordered dead soft trying my third silver bracelet last two where half hard sterling silver wire . Love the video incredible work

At the end making the link you can also twist the chain until it is the right way so it wouldn't take so much time, but you did do an amazing job

you can achieve oval links by wrapping the wire around two smaller rods rather than one large one.. it has to be done by hand though usually.
