Good question. At the current price of gold, the final chain would cost around $11,000 USD. Not sure if this question was asked yet, but what is the substance that is put on the chain when it is laid flat just before filing it down? Is it some sort of wax or adhesive to make it stay flat and straight so it can be filed down easier? Really cool video!
Yes, that's exactly what it is and what it's for. It's called Shellac. It's a resin to affix the chain to the board for filing. Thank you so much for watching.
