Dude... I FELT THAT when you were chasing down the lizard and that little bugger took off faster than you can run... the rabbit traps are a godsend in single player along with the upgraded spear
0:35 you can get back on top on the plane if you build a chair or a bench. After falling down, craft a bench or a chair. Craft it abd build it as close as the game will allow you. Build which ever direction you want. Built it on your left side. After you build it jump on the bench or chair and time your jumps at left side or repeatedly jump. If done right, there you go, you’ll be on the plane. Restock on soda and eat food.
Was going to say the same thing. One enemy type can take down a tree in a single hit, which destroys everything on that tree. You're actually not far from the "best" place to live, which has no enemies that path close to it at all and isn't that far from the cannibal village.
@@fingersnap94 I used the leaning shelter for a very long time. Not until strange things began to roam around my base did I upgrade to a cabin. I'm not much of a builder, I do function over form. I basically lived off my inventory and 2 drying racks the whole game
So to sum it up SOTF, also known as “Sons Of The Forest”. Is coming out in early to mid-2022 due to delays. And a trailer is supposedly coming in the coming weeks. This was said a few weeks ago so it could be this week for all we know.

This game is so awesome! The jump scares are perfect! The cannibals are crazy fun to encounter and deal with. The only thing i found a bit sad is it gets too paranormal too late. They shouldve stuck with the cannibals and develop their grand conspiracy on that instead of going full x-files. Eg.cannibals get even stronger, faster, better organized, better armed, even crazier instead of stupid abominations... the abominations are cool but its not how the game starts. You get there way later and it feels like it breaks the arc

Agree that this game has one of the most impressive A.I.'s. Watched someone on YT only play defensive and after a good bit the cannibals left her alone - on the downside, I don't think she could build because cutting trees down aggravates the cannibals. I never finished as it started seeming too real - the sounds, the hacking/dismembering bodies, the blood, dark caves, etc. I will give your series a try and see how long I last. :)
Just wanna clarify that the term "Antagonist" doesn't always mean a "villain" but simply someone who's intentions or goals go against the "Protagonist" own goals and intentions,Not required to be an active villain character. Otherwise Awesome video man,Gave me the urge to go back and play the game again

This game does have good ai, also I just recently learned how to build a mega custom tree house in my own series it's amazing although currently I'm cave diving plus trees tend to fall in the direction your looking so if you look at your base just before the tree falls it will go that way even if you chopped away from it *although it's not 100%* also if you use the axe on the stewertress body in the plane you can skin her and take her outfit

My brother decided to build right next to a cannibal camp and we got 1-3 cannibals every 2 minutes and we eventually died. Then I told him to ditch it and cannibals came anyway so I had to build stairs and crouch in the airplane 😭 I think it’s because the airplane is right next to the camp site thing 😬

Currently running a peaceful save file. Just to get the map more memorized and nail down my base skills. Too many rage quit sessions during beta years ago on PC 🤣🤣🤦♂️ Shit, lemmi learn to survive the island before you force me to survive the damn beasties! Haha

I liked the idea of an ewak camp but a village would probably be more interesting long term maybe have like a defensive ring of towers? I'd like to see the story again but it's not a rush to get it done it just helps tie the series together for me. Also why ya skipping the special arrows 😉

For the storyline it was kinda meh, if you are looking for new building items and builds then sure but it for me it got boring after you got that ball thing that warded of the cannibals so overall dont make it a priority to get, more of a side quest thing

Trees drop in the direction you are facing. That's why when you blew up the first group of trees and were facing them, they all fell away from you.
You could create a base that looks like a village with separated buildings

changing clothes when wet does warm you up, leaving the stumps does make the Mutants pissy too. So you're best to get rid of them

In my personal experience, having a bunch of clothes is helpful, because you can swap in and out of them if you get wet/ have hypothermia
The cannibals would be considered “antagonists”. The way you can remember is bad guys antagonize

You should make a tree village (unless that’s something you’ve done before) and just connect everything with bridges and platforms

DayZ also does it well. I don't like even moving in the base unless we have barrels and lights up

i just bought the game i found a cave entrance it was deep , that creature looked scary as hell I went back up so quick lol 😁
