@@DYLINGTONMODELRAILWAY I wanted to do 009 due to space needed but can’t afford buying all the track and locos right now so ended up doing this instead
@dcb_trains we were lucky enough to get some second-hand track at a bargain price, which is what has enabled the build. He's only got one loco and a couple of wagons at the moment, which were birthday and Christmas presents. Have you seen his progress on his Dylington Model Railway channel? He's on episode 6 🙂👍
Much prefer this plan to the last video! So long as you mark around the station area from one of your coaches with a pen you should be fine for clearence 😉 looking forward to seeing this progress!
What a wonderful layout this will be. The station in the curve seems rather difficult, even with shorter coaches. I would consider to put it slightly closer to the point where the curve seems less straight. I understand you will probably only run 4- and 6 wheel coaches but even for those the platform will have to be quite far away from the track. I have a platform in an R1-curve, which is slightly wider than your curve I think, and even then my platform is very far from the track. Passengers have to take quite a jump to get in the train 😂
@@dcb_trainsBy the way, I feel very much inspired by your layout and I am considering to make a new layout (again 😊) - I might use your plan with a slight modification, having just a bit of extra board at the left hand side and then a small piece of curve, one short straight track (around 15 cm and then close the curve. The straight at the side of the coal company would be a bit longer too. In that way I would have a straight piece in the centre of station platform. Can't wait for next summer, will be a great holiday project. 😊
That's looking good 🙂👍
@@DYLINGTONMODELRAILWAY cheers, it’s developing nicely
@@dcb_trains looking forward to following your progress, I'm also enjoying seeing my grandson's 009 layout develop 🙂👍

@@railway187 thank you and yeh it’s something I didn’t want to have but seems the best location. Will have a mess around and see what we can do
