Just made these for our dogs, they absolutely adore them. Thanks for such a simple recipe and really good video. I’m going to make them as Xmas gifts from my dogs to their doggy friends 😁
Thank you for a great video and no horrible music 👍🏻Going to make these for a dog Sadie I look after, she has very bad allergy to lots of food , I will make them with rice flour, as she's fine with rice fingers crossed she will like them as she has no treats anymore ♥️🤞
Toss a food grade silica packet into your airtight container that's filled with treats. Amazon and some stores sell them, and they can even be reused if you bake the packets at 150 to 200 F for 30 mins to 1 hour.
I just made a batch. But no rolled oats. Pup no can have. So I put peanut butter..TY for this wonderful recipe. The dogs were pacing the floor while I was making the batch. I will let you know if they like them. TY again
What was the peanut butter ratio that you used, please. I want to make these for my fur nephew, but I only have quick oats not old-fashioned. So I'll take your lead and substitute the oats for peanut butter!!!
Hey this is JudyAnn. Yes they LOVE them. I didn't have a bone cookie cutter so I just shaped like PB cookies are made. I gave them 3 and wantes more. But I would not give them anymore than that. AGAIN TY
Thank You for the video. I do craft shows and make Dog Bandanas and going to add a small bag of free treats as a Thank You. And can make some for my fur nephew for Christmas!
Renee, That sounds awesome! I’ve tried wheat flour, but my dogs don’t tolerate it as well as Oat Flour. I just grind up whole organic rolled oats into flour. I hope your pup loves the recipe:) Thanks for watching and commenting! Judy ❤️
Your taste testers are beautiful! 🐕🐕 Glad your recipe included proof that the pups liked them. Thank you for the recipe. I'll make some for my dog but leave out the cinnamon. My Bichon turns her nose up at the spice. Horrors as I'm a cinnamon addict. 😄 Tell the truth, did you try them? 🤣🤣🤣 Merry Christmas to you and your family. 🎄
I just came across your channel while I was looking for recipes for my fur nephew. Thank you so much for this recipe. Along with the cinnamon. Could I add parsley as well? I love my fur babies, but those puppy breaths need to go LOL.
@@JEHomestead they loved their treats. My one fur nephew has never touched human food. We can leave a plate of food sitting on the table, and he won't even sniff it. Not these treats, let me tell you. LOL. He could smell them through the bag and was all over "Auntie" for treats LOL. Thank you again. I'm so happy to have found healthy treats for my fur family members. They deserve treats too, but I hate the store-bought crap. Now I can make some treats up once a month and go visiting/ Do you have any healthy cat treats. I'm pretty sure they felt left out 😿😿😿 LOL. 💖💖💖
Yay!!! That is so precious ❤ I’m so happy that the recipe worked for your fur babies:) I will do some research on cat treats and see what I can come up with. Thanks for letting me know how you liked the treat recipe! I’m working on my next video of homemade healthy dog food so watch for that video coming up! Thanks again for your love commenting:) Judy
Hi Reg Anne Yes you can use coconut flour but you might need to add some almond flour to it to make it hold together more since coconut flour is finely ground. Hope this helps. Thanks For Watching and Commenting. Judy ❤️
Carissa, Look under the title of my video and click on the word “more” and you will find the whole recipe! Thanks For Watching and Commenting ❤️I hope you pup or pups like them :) Judy
Judy, Cinnamon is safe for Dogs, my vet told me it is ok. Of course not in large quantities just like anything else. It is great for inflammation. You can omit it from the recipe too if you want to. Thanks again for watching and commenting. ❤️
cinnamon is actually bad for dogs, I would not put it in the dog treats. it can cause liver disease, digestive problems and skin irritation if they are getting high amounts or constant amounts.
Hi Allison, PETMED.com and my vet, says that cinnamon is not toxic for dogs, Nutmeg however can be in large amounts. Making homemade treats , I know what is going into them, and I know it’s safe. Store bought is a different story because they may have other ingredients that could be harmful to dogs. You can always leave out the cinnamon but it is safe for dogs! Thanks For Watching and Commenting.
I'm sorry but adding honey and then cooking it in an oven is not a good idea! Heating honey is just as adding pure sugar, which is a really bad idea for and dog food.
Hi, Yes too much honey is not good for your dog! There is only 1 teaspoon in the recipe and remember these are treats that are not given frequently:) If your dog is obese or diabetic then do not use the honey. You can leave it out of the recipe all together! Thanks For Watching and Commenting ❤️
I Googled the American Kennel Assoc, and they say no cinnamon for dogs. It can lower their blood sugar and cause health issues. Knowing this, I'd omit the cinnamon.
American Kennel Association says Cinnamon is not toxic to dogs but can cause digestive issues if consumed in large quantities:) A little in dog treats will not harm them but you can definitely omit it from the recipe :) Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it you! Judy ❤️

Cruz Medrano, Welcome!! Thanks For Watching and Commenting!
If I am doing it for commercial purpose do I have to add any preservatives please
Depends on your State, County etc. I’m not sure so you will need to do some research on that:) Thanks for watching and commenting ❤️
Precious. Is regular flour ok? Thanks so much. Take care ❤️
Regular flour is not good for dogs. Oat or Rice flour is better digested by them. TFW
You think it would ok if I ground the oats into a flour instead?
Val, yes you could! Thanks for watching and commenting ❤️
My dog is allergic to eggs, can I just omit the egg wash?
Leslie, I don’t see why not:) go ahead and try it without the egg wash! Thanks for watching and commenting ❤️
About how much sweet potato do you think? 1/2 - 3/4 cup?
Hi Rita, yes I would say around 1/2-3/4 cup, depends on how big your sweet potato is! Thanks For Watching and Commenting, I appreciate you ❤️Judy

I think it can be eaten by human too because I don't see any ingredients that is not good for human consumption. Human and animals can enjoy......
