Hi, great video and I subscribed. I just had a question. I have a coin and I think it may be a cast. There is this raised area that feels sharp patch to the touch.
Machining allowance is depends upon the type of casting we are going to used ie. Sand casting , hand moulding or machine moulding. It also varies as per the diamension and material.
Buckle can be called as rat tails , it is the expansion of sand in mould cavity .. due to molten metal.. and due to that .. outer layer of casting looks improper. We won't get the required surface finish.. that defect is termed as buckle or rat trails.
