Hey Dj Barr, First of all thank you so much for your GigLogs, they are truly awesome. A bit about me, I started to Dj at the age of 15, well younger but mom got my set at 15 (1991), I just turned 46, lmao. I did a lot of house parties, warehouse underground, clubs, afterhour raves, massive raves, and the mobile DJ gigs. I never produced and the scene died out for a bit, rave and club connections died and then again social media happened. It was about CLOUT, kind of made me loose interest and the desire of doing DJ gigs a few years back, especially since I'm always doing it alone. I currently use Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S4 MKII, love it, (whats your feedback on it, yes it's older but still good). I only have two JBL JRX 118s (unpowered cubes).. as for tops i just rent them when I need them wouldn't know what to get. Looking at all the new equipment that is out from sound, lighting and even building a music library. Doing personal remixes to play, there is a lot and it's what makes me back out a bit, not knowing what to get where to start off from. UGH!! I personally never, ever thought I would run into this wall at all... By watching your vids it's awaking the desire to follow what I once loved, it reminded me on how much I miss it, I can never get enough talking about it when conversations come up. Someone recently told me, "Why don't I go back to doing it? You light up with passion when you talk about it." Never lost the passion to DJ because I do it for myself every so often. Sorry didn't mean to make a whole story on this, just truly thank you for sharing and doing what I should have kept doing all along... Oh yeah what do you recommend anyways for sound system.. LOL
That drummer was killing it!!! As a drummer myself I always appreciate good drumming. It was kinda weird seeing your setup with the arrays lol. I'm so used to your regular setup which looks better to me, but in the end, who cares really lol. Great job!
You are an amazing DJ/MC. The fact that you can speak 1 language is a major advantage. Where I live people speak so many languages that speaking through the microphone is already a challenge, it is always wrong for one part of the audience. The Mackie Go speakers are an amazing solution for outdoor - I'm gonna order some. For the main speakers I go for RCF's as they reproduce the sound so precise, almost like on monitor speakers. I found the sound quality an issue with most other brands, there were always frequencies not covered.
Awesome gig log, looked like it was an great reception! It would have been a wedding that I'd love to be at and partying at up! Yeah Drew did kill it with the drumming!
Big up from France! Very impressed with the quality of the drummer and the impact on the crowd. Another great job, guys! I can't say anything about the MAUI as I always work with a passive audio system. But I admit it's tempting. See you soon for your next GIG LOG.
my Maui 44 g2 arrived today thanks for the heads up bro i bought the system added it to my collection and i love it $6k worth it with cases and casters :)
Nice set up Barr. Your party had good vibes, energy & crew👍. Still remember the first gig I saw from you. You've come a long ways bro. Again good work. I give this 5 cartoon Barr characters out of 5. Take care!!!
Wow best introduction of the bride and groom entrance. And even if it only was 60 ppl it made it look like more like 200ppl. Awesome music selection and the drumer was sick perfectly combo. The setup was sick and the lights the best for small wedding. Love to get something similar. One of the best wedding videos of 2022 by far it was epic and fresh of new inspiration. Awesome mc great job!!!
Awesome job Barr!!!!! You adapted to a style of music you don’t usually play and made your bride & groom happy! Would love to have you and Kev come to Wisconsin next year and rock a wedding with us!!!!
Would you rather have 2-3 smaller systems that can come together for a big show or invest in a larger system and use it a across your events? I’m thinking about going with the avante compact line array system
great review, i think the best DJ solution are now LD systems : MAUI 28 G2, MAUI 44 G2, and the new DAVE 18 G4X for big bass event. But will be an MAUI 28/44 G3/G4 in 2023 ?
What are your impressions of the Mackie Thump Go, now that you have used it? Would you buy this over the S1 Pro or the JBL Eon One Compact (especially at the price difference)?
I'm a big fan of column array setup's. I use RCF J8's for my small to medium size functions. Setup is so easy and they look and sound so clean. I personally prefer column array setup over 2 gigantic 15 inch speakers on tripod's taking real estate in the room...
Hello, I also love stick sets and I have two sets in my arsenal, one pair of dB Technologies es802 for small halls and a dB Technologies es1002 set for larger halls, the sound is just a bomb.
As a fan of soundswitch i think your next review should be the soundswitch mini. I use it at gigs, and it is amazing how the light show matches the music. and you can customize your wedding track list to do whatever you want . I know a light guy is cool but it will be less for you to worry about
Hey Barr this is dj solo . I have a question hopefully you can get back to me with a answer . I have a DDJ-sb3 controller that I connect to a mackie mixer . What is the best RCA to 1/4 cables can I use for the best sound quality ?
Great GL. You should really add another panel to your facade and put the maui's next to your table, behind the facade, then the towers next to that. Would look so much better
The bass in the maui 44 does it hits hard like having 1 single 18inch sub when using a pair of course i say is more like a strong 15 sub of 2000 watts peaks ?
Ramon, I use 2 QSC tops with some ev15 subs and the 15s sound very good. I have my ks118s also for bigger events. An 18 will always sound deeper then a 15. But 2 -15s sound really good IMO.
Mackie thump products are “value” speakers. They aren’t meant to do anything special. For a cocktail or ceremony speaker, it does the job. I wouldn’t use Mackie thump for anything else.
The LDs look legit, much cleaner than your traditional setup. Think I'll be exploring that option real soon. Oh, and talk more about the drummer's set up - perhaps in a stand alone video, totally curious!!! As usual nicely done.
@@djphillmp also a great system but a single Vertus 1000 system will not have the bass output and probably overall volume of 1 Maui 44 G2’s. If budget isn’t an issue the vertus is great because you can connect two top boxes together and stack subs.
Why don't you make a personalised background for the photobooth that has the bride's and groom's logo? Alternatively you can print the logo on the photo.

Love the setup with the columns. Not a fan of the tripods behind the facade. Great job as usual! Keep them coming !
Bro I’ve been using linear speakers for a year, I absolutely love them and recommend them so easy to set up and breakdown.

Awesome job Bar! & team… nailed it again… the New speakers sound great 👍🏻
I'm curious as to how you set your levels on the back of the Maui 44G2 for your receptions. I currently have both my knobs 2/3 of the way up.

Adding the drummer ads a whole new dimension! I have this as an add on as well. However my drummer uses a real drum kit. Sounds Great !
That is bad ass man you rock the house very good keep doing what you do g
Awesome! I’m excited for the review on the speakers!
Barr you’re modest bro but your introductions are elite🤦🏾♂️ Plus you killed the set, that was dope🤘🏾
Top work Captain Barr
I haven’t heard New Found Glory in so long… 👏🏽
That was funny as hell the Undertaker entrance song lol!
Awesomeness as always Barr! 🔥🔥🔥
What made you go with the Maui's instead of the JBL PRX One's?
Undertaker entry was cool

Hey Barr, i am waiting on the myDMX 3.0 video since you started using it😁! You have to do it.
