I'm English and living in Italy, and with so many Senegalese people here it'd be great to have some strong vocab under my belt so please keep these classes coming. Jërërjëf this has been really helpful 🙏
Great to hear you find these helpful! I used to live in Italy. And went back in 2021, I saw a lot of Senegalese people there too. 😄😄 I may come back with a new Wolof class!
i am in Senegal been here since June. I don’t like French that much but I will practice a little, I love the natural original language Wolof. I must learn Wolof! Jerejef
I also don’t like French!!! How are you enjoying Senegal? I hope you like it 🤭. Yes, practice! Definitely download the syllabus and read the blog for cultural context if that interests you! You can find a link to both in the description box.

Nice class, I've meet a few good people from Senegal in Essaouira Morocco I promised them I would learn to speak Wolof with them,
Thank you! There are more video’s if you are interested (7 in total!). Let me know if you have any questions. 🤝🏾
❤❤❤❤❤ merci beaucoup ♥️♥️ wayee
Niofar waye!! 😁😁
just discovered you. I find your class easy to follow. I was born in Senegal, lived in Rufisque ( Tangueje). Last time I visited was 1996. Still have families there. Since I just followed your 2 yrs old lesson, I wanted to ask you to help the non-Wolof speaking guests to understand the words better by transcribing the major words while you speaking. It would be a visual and listening video for all. Good job and thank you
Welcome to my channel! 🥳🥳 thank you, that is good to know. Oh wow, that is a long time ago. Any plans to go back? Thanks for the feedback! Did you find the syllabus I created? You can find them in the description of every video - or on www.senegalesetwisted.com under the tab “Wolof” you can find a post for each class that gives cultural context and has a link to the syllabus. - It works best if you use them together. You are most welcome ✨ let me know if you have any questions 😁
Jerejef! You are a great teacher. Your written downloads are also excellent. Much love from Ireland.

You are welcome!!! Yes, I really wanted to create a Wolof class that was very accessible and more of an introduction to Wolof. Glad you enjoyed!! Hope everything was clear and you were able to find the syllabus and the blogpost with cultural context 🤭🤭 let me know if you have any questions!
Thank u so much

Thanks 😂

Thanks!
thanks
Thank you Hibou! 😌
Merci, merci !!!
Man dama dig Wolof, Man dama dac si senegal
Waw kay Aïssatou, baax neu! 🇸🇳🇸🇳🇸🇳
I want to learn wolof please
Let’s go!!!
Salaam malekum, I have a question. So when asking how’s your family I hear people ending it with “gi” or “gu/ga”. What’s the difference, if there is one?
Wa Aleikoum Salam! That’s a valid question! It’s just a difference in pronounciation, but not in meaning. So you can either say for example Naka wa kër ga or Naka wa kër gui but it means the same! I think it derives from the other ethnic groups that also speak Wolof so for example someone whose first language is Pulaar may say it different than someone whose first language is Sereer. Just like how Gambians have a different type of pronounciation that may derive from them being anglophone and not francophone like in Senegal. Hope that helps!
@@SenegaleseTwisted beautiful explanation, thank you!
Hello ,
I am looking for a teacher who can teach me english to wolof like you are doing……. Can you help me pls ???

Do you teach 1:1?
Hey! Yes, send me an email at info@senegalesetwisted.com with your learning goals, the frequency at which you want to take classes and any questions you may have! Looking forward to your email 🤭.
Wolof greetings in the morning👇

Pls can you teach me senegal wolof privately
I’m not really doing 1:1 lessons, but if you are serious, definitely send me an email at info@senegalesetwisted.com and I will send you my rates.
61 years that Senegal is issuing its own passports and IDs
I didn’t know that, thanks!
Salut.
That’s why, but still thanks!
@@SenegaleseTwisted
Yeah but without the transcripts subtitles simultaneously in both languages your videos are useless for me because I don't understand wolof, so I need to see the written sentences in wolof and English at the same time I'm listening to understand what are you talking about hahaha...
You're in Netherlands? It's easy to find a job and house there?
They won’t if you use the syllabus! It’s already there, just look at it. Yes, I am in the Netherlands. It depends on what kind of job you are looking for.
@@SenegaleseTwisted
I teach Spanish in France hahaha...but before covid I was thinking to live in Netherlands, but I don't speak Dutch
I see! Well you don’t have to speak Dutch to live here, you can survive with English!
Hi
Hi
Postmaaa wolof bi nexna lol
Papy waaaay! Loo wax thi anglais bokk? hahaha thank you :D
Please write the sentences for us and translate them
If you go to the link in the description, you will find a direct link to my blog for this class. On the blog, you will be able to read more about the class subject, but you will also be able to download the syllabus! The sentences are written in the syabus and you can use them in combination with the video to better understand! Good Luck 🥳

Well, no problem, but unfortunately, I don't use Iniesta
I don’t understand? It is just on www.senegalesetwisted.com and then go to the class, 1-7, and then there is a pdf in the article! No need to download other applications or create an account!
