Alhamdullilah your wolof videos are really helpful to me thanks for the time effort and love of doing this work the first section of this video(greetings)it sounds good it helps me in the pronunciation of latter or words
😭🥰🥰🥰 thank you!!! I’m too happy it was easy to follow because before editing it was all over the place lol 😵💫😵💫 And thank you 💜🥰 will definitely be wearing lavender more often!
Assalamu'Alaykum Waramatulahi Wabarakatuh! I actually just downloaded this book today, and good thing that it led me to your channel! May Allah reward you!
Walaykumasalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!! I'm glad you're here. I hope my video was helpful and wishing you all the best with your Wolof studies! Ameen!! Thank you 🥰🥰
You are just so cute!! I’m so happy to have found your Wolof lessons. I’ve been married to a Senegalese for 25 years but my Wolof is pitiful. I’m going to print the pdf and work along with your lessons. I’ve also shared with my children so we finally can communicate better in Wolof. I look forward to learning with you.
Thank you!!! 🥺🥰🥰 And I’m so happy I can be part of your learning journey. I’m still in the midst of making future videos but I definitely plan to finish this series. Wishing you and your children the best with your studies 🙌🏾💃🏾💃🏾❤️
Thank you so much! Your Wolof videos are heaven sent :) I am half Senegalese but grew up in my mothers culture. So thanks a lot for the cultural notes as well because it's the exact opposite to what I am used to! I'll keep that in mind for next time!
You’re welcome!! I’m so glad to hear that you’re benefitting from these videos! ☺️☺️ And I’ll make sure to continue adding cultural notes in future videos. And wishing you all the best with your Wolof learning journey 💗
Regarding pronunciation of the dd, kk, gg, etc. I've heard other Wolof speakers say a fairly clear tuddá or tuddú even. With emphasis on the last a or u. They might have been Gambian or a different dialect idk
Yeah I think Gambians put add the vowel endings and put an emphasis on it more often than Senegalese people do. So yeah, kind of like a dialect difference.
As salaamu alaykum sister Sawdah! May Allah (swt) reward you for helping through your videos. This is the 2nd Wolof video I've watched from you and MashaaAllah, I love how you explain and give explanations and examples. I am learning from your videos, MashaaAllah. Would you happen to have all of the Wolof videos in one playlist so I can make sure I don't miss one ?
Assalamualikum sawda. Why haven't you been coming online since a few days? I can't even find your socials anymore. I hope you are fine and will reply to me soon. I'm worried man
Walaykumsalam Shireen! I deleted my IG because I wanted to not be as distracted this Ramadan. I also deleted HelloTalk for the same reason. But I’ve linked my Tumblr blog on my UA-cam channel. So you can always feel free to message me there 😊 Thank you for checking in. And please don’t be worried. Alhamdulillah all is well. Just trying to be a bit more present and less on social media is all 🤍
@sincerelysawda that's good. Thanks for replying. I was genuinely missing you. I'm not familiar with the app you mentioned here actually. But I'll try to msg you there. Hope to get in contact with you soon. Take care😄
