You are absolutely correct. There is more then a very good argument for Iceland being 1 of the top 2 greatest Nations of strength (in terms of WSM success anyway) Absolutely, and without doubt you are right. Jon Pall, Maggi Ver and Hafthor - say no more because that's 9 titles right there. However, we went with the UK and USA because of 'depth of quality' over pure historical quality, Iceland has won an astonishing 9 WSM Titles, but in terms of volume of top guys - or to be more exact - the 'number of different WSM winners from one nation' means that Iceland falls short on the total number of WSM winners in comparison to the UK and USA. Though the 3 they have came from a population of less than half a million people, which is insane. The answer to the most title winners is the UK and USA, who have had 5 and 6 respectively, over the near 50 years it's been going on. BUT lets not forget what made this clash unique is 100% of the population was represented. This is a male and female team contest- and when you add in the question of 'who is the most succesful at the sport of strongwoman? ' That is when the USA and UK become even more voluminous, in terms of WSW and WSM title winners combined. Hence the decision to go with these two in a shoot out for a W.S.Nations contest . Hope that makes sense?

nation?
It's Iceland!
