    • @sspbrazil
      @sspbrazil 4 роки тому

      markyncole those Cash albums were just exploiting an old man at death’s door, they produced a few good tracks, but that wasn’t because of Rubin, it was because of Cash. Jakob Dylan detested the solo album Rubin Produced for him and he regretted listening to others who suggested Rubin produce his album and many other artists didn’t like working with him either including Tom Petty. A broken clock is right twice a day, so he was bound to have a few decent records which catapulted his career, but then the hype set in and so did the complete overrating of him as a Producer. Now, Steve Albini on the other hand, is miles ahead of Rubin as both an engineer and producer and he’s a lot more down to earth and doesn’t love the smell his own farts like Rubin.

    Pistols were my favorite one hit wonders of all time. I was 18 when Bollocks was released and there is still nothing like it. But Bowie's input in the record was still important, as he wrote or co-wrote most of the sun's, and had the ideas for the songs, before Niall introduced various dance-jazz related styles that Bowie happened to like.
