We take pride in being people from birthplace of Gautam Buddha who offered the humanity many methods of meditation to end all levels of sufferings such as stress, anxiety, anger, jealousy, hatred, etc. But unfortunately most of us do not even know the basics of meditation. It's his discovery and teachings that made him so great that even today after over 2500 years the world revere him, not because he was born in Lumbini. It's our fortune that such a great being was born here. So, brothers and sisters please learn to meditate to take control over the mind. Just being proud is not enough. This is what Buddha wants. Personally Nepal should be declared as Dharmic Rashtra instead of Hindu Rashtra. Nepal government should give special treatment to Hinduism, Buddhism, kiratism and bon religion. So to preserve it's native culture.
Thanks for making this video and your good effort. I think you need more digging and PR about Buddhism. I agree on some of your information but most of them you added what's been told by others. Perhaps your Pujari, teachers, parents and friends. This is Hindu verse of Buddhism explained, no doubt. People in Nepal come to conclusion about Buddhism without having sufficient knowledge on Buddhism or without reading and learning the holy Buddhist books such as Tripitak, Pragyaparamitta and Dhammapada. If you have not read or studied any of these holy books then you have not learned anything about Buddhism. Yes, there is no doubt Shakyamuni was born in Lumbini , Kapilbastu district of Nepal and even there are archeological evidences to prove it. The matter of fact many evidences are still visible around Lumbini area. Everyone agree with your take on that. Now , what I have problem with your video is , why Buddhism despair from Indian sub-continent? Your take on this substance is weak and incoherent. Buddhism despair from Indian sub-continent because of deep oppression and genocide. Feiyan and Hueinsang were the Chinese monks who travel to India to learn Buddhism in Nalanda. There are recorded diaries, memos of these monks about their experiences while they were in India .Yes, it has somewhat to do with Pushayamitra Shunga, Shankaracharya, Kumarial Bhatta and Bhaktiyar Khijji but mostly oppression on Buddhism came early from Brahmins. Brahmins were against the Shakyamuni and his teachings from the get go. Shakyamuni rejected ved and spoke against Brahminsm, caste discrimination( verna), gender discrimination and animal sacrifices. It sounded troubling for Brahmins and they were against his teachings. Even the teachings on Atman and Anatman philosophy outlined totally differential from each other. Shakyamuni emphasis highly on Anatman( no self), emptiness (Sunayta), Anitya( Impermanent). There are no historical evidences to back up that Shankaracharya debated Buddhist scholars. Most of Buddhist masters from Nalanda such as Nagarjuna, Asanga, Basubanda, ShankyaRashita, Aryadeva, Chandrakrtiti, Daharmakriti were before Shankaracharya time. It would have been interesting if Shankaracharya debated one of those Buddhist masters. Yes, Alexander the great and his commanders came to Indian sub-continent to invade. They occupied parts of India including Northern India present day Punjab and Hariyana district. There is also record of Buddhist monk Nagsena debating Greek commander for record three days on spirituality and philosophy. There are numbers of Greek commanders converted to Buddhism after the debate. Greeks were first to build statues of Shakyamuni. It started from the Gandhara civilization which was located in Afghanistan in present day. Yes, Shakyas escaped from northern India ( Kausal) after the genocide of Shakyas by king Vidudhaba who took revenge on Shakyas. He accused Shakyas for falsely making him to marry the slave girl instead of Shakya princess and bad treatment towards him by Shakyas during his visit to kapilbastu. In Nepal Buddhism flourishes during the Lichivi dynasty. Most of the Chaityas and Vihars were built during the Lichivi dynasty including famous Swoyambhu and Baudha stupas but the oppression came during the reign of Jay sthiti Malla period when he invited Brahmins from Bengal to Kantipur. He implemented verna system first time in Nepal, demolished many vihars and make Buddhist vikhu and vikhunis to get married forcefully. During the reign of Rana dynasty, many Vikkhus were exiled from Nepal for being Buddhists. Buddhists have to hide from the society and keep secret for being Buddhists in Kathmandu. In Buddhas time , there was not religion called Hinduism, The word Hinduism is new trend comparing to ancient world. Greeks recognized people who lived in Indus valley as Indu. Later the word Indu transformed into Hindu because Mugals mispronunciation. In Shakyamuni's period, there were only two kinds of people in spiritual world, 1, Brahmins - Ones who follwed vedic philosophy and performed rituals 2, Shramins- Ones who followed tyagg marga and practiced deep samadhi Shakyamuni Gautama Buddha and Mahavira ( the founder of Jainism) were both Shramana. Shakyamuni followed and learned mostly from Shramin mentors during his conquest of Enlightenment( Nirvana).

You are correct , Shakyamuni Gautama Buddha's most stood out and most knowledgeable disciples who stood side by side were Sariputra and Moggallana and who were also Brahmins. Yes, Nagarjuna and many other Buddhists supreme scholars are also Brahmins or the brahmin putra, Absolutely true. There is no hatred or no racist point of view or bigotry in my opinion. It is bitter truth that many Brahmins were against the Shakyamuni who followed vedanta pilosphy at that time. For exmaple, in Hindu holy books like Balmiki Ramayana or Puran, they scripted Shakyamuni as a atheist and needs to be punished just like criminals. My intention is not about pointing out to one particular race to be the culprit. It is the opposite, and the bitter truth.

We have lost so much of Nepal’s history. We have no idea what was happening during Siddhartha Gautam. We found about the buddhist’s birthplace due to the chinese scholars’ written collection of where it was relative to other places. We also know Arniko ko baray because of Chinese history.

@@xenonezio5188 yes, kapilbastu lumbini terms were not in use before the excavation 125 years ago. So we referred to the shakya ganarajya, back then kapilbastu was the capital of shakya kingdom, and lumbini was a part of the kingdom.

If you still find broken idols of Hindu gods in Simraungadh and the karnats kings had built many temples in whole Mithila but there is not a single temples of that period. You can imagine the destruction of Mithila. I have read Varnaratnakar which describes about the Simraungadh and the city was huge literally great city. But he destroyed it completely. He left not a single temple in Mithila. The perfect example of this is temple of Sakhra in Saptari district. It was located far from Simraungadh but still they destroyed the temple and beheaded the idol there and still the idol has no head . After this destruction they used to take heavy taxes from people of Mithila

@@prithwishroy buddha is related to the kosala kingdom of that period. and a branch of royal family came to lumbini and under the guidance of kapil muni, they cut the saka trees and settled there hence the term Sakya immerged. and as they were guided by kapil muni hence the kingdom name became Kapilvastu. Kosala is the same kingdom as in the ramayan whose capital was Aayodhya and the people of The then Kosala kingdom and The sakyas of Nepal had marital relationships. So, ultimtely Siddhartha Gautam was a Kshatriya before we became Buddha. Buddha doesnt come from any particular caste or creed, he is the enlightened one, the lord himself.

Then Finally came the jatakas in the kaliyuga after buddh started his teavhings. Buddha is infact the 8th avatar of Lord Vishnu himself. Thanks for making this video and your good effort. I think you need more digging and PR about Buddhism. I agree on some of your information but most of them you added what's been told by others. Perhaps your Pujari, teachers, parents and friends. This is Hindu verse of Buddhism explained, no doubt. People in Nepal come to conclusion about Buddhism without having sufficient knowledge on Buddhism or without reading and learning the holy Buddhist books such as Tripitak, Pragyaparamitta and Dhammapada.
If you have not read or studied any of these holy books then you have not learned anything about Buddhism. Yes, there is no doubt Shakyamuni was born in Lumbini , Kapilbastu district of Nepal and even there are archeological evidences to prove it. The matter of fact many evidences are still visible around Lumbini area. Everyone agree with your take on that. Now , what I have problem with your video is , why Buddhism despair from Indian sub-continent? Your take on this substance is weak and incoherent.
Buddhism despair from Indian sub-continent because of deep oppression and genocide. Feiyan and Hueinsang were the Chinese monks who travel to India to learn Buddhism in Nalanda. There are recorded diaries, memos of these monks about their experiences while they were in India .Yes, it has somewhat to do with Pushayamitra Shunga, Shankaracharya, Kumarial Bhatta and Bhaktiyar Khijji but mostly oppression on Buddhism came early from Brahmins. Brahmins were against the Shakyamuni and his teachings from the get go. Shakyamuni rejected ved and spoke against Brahminsm, caste discrimination( verna), gender discrimination and animal sacrifices. It sounded troubling for Brahmins and they were against his teachings. Even the teachings on Atman and Anatman philosophy outlined totally differential from each other. Shakyamuni emphasis highly on Anatman( no self), emptiness (Sunayta), Anitya( Impermanent).
There are no historical evidences to back up that Shankaracharya debated Buddhist scholars. Most of Buddhist masters from Nalanda such as Nagarjuna, Asanga, Basubanda, ShankyaRashita, Aryadeva, Chandrakrtiti, Daharmakriti were before Shankaracharya time. It would have been interesting if Shankaracharya debated one of those Buddhist masters. Yes, Alexander the great and his commanders came to Indian sub-continent to invade. They occupied parts of India including Northern India present day Punjab and Hariyana district. There is also record of Buddhist monk Nagsena debating Greek commander for record three days on spirituality and philosophy. There are numbers of Greek commanders converted to Buddhism after the debate. Greeks were first to build statues of Shakyamuni. It started from the Gandhara civilization which was located in Afghanistan in present day.
Yes, Shakyas escaped from northern India ( Kausal) after the genocide of Shakyas by king Vidudhaba who took revenge on Shakyas. He accused Shakyas for falsely making him to marry the slave girl instead of Shakya princess and bad treatment towards him by Shakyas during his visit to kapilbastu.
In Nepal Buddhism flourishes during the Lichivi dynasty. Most of the Chaityas and Vihars were built during the Lichivi dynasty including famous Swoyambhu and Baudha stupas but the oppression came during the reign of Jay sthiti Malla period when he invited Brahmins from Bengal to Kantipur. He implemented verna system first time in Nepal, demolished many vihars and make Buddhist vikhu and vikhunis to get married forcefully. During the reign of Rana dynasty, many Vikkhus were exiled from Nepal for being Buddhists. Buddhists have to hide from the society and keep secret for being Buddhists in Kathmandu.
In Buddhas time , there was not religion called Hinduism, The word Hinduism is new trend comparing to ancient world. Greeks recognized people who lived in Indus valley as Indu. Later the word Indu transformed into Hindu because Mugals mispronunciation.
In Shakyamuni's period, there were only two kinds of people in spiritual world,
1, Brahmins - Ones who follwed vedic philosophy and performed rituals
2, Shramins- Ones who followed tyagg marga and practiced deep samadhi
Shakyamuni Gautama Buddha and Mahavira ( the founder of Jainism) were both Shramana. Shakyamuni followed and learned mostly from Shramin mentors during his conquest of Enlightenment( Nirvana).

If you still find broken idols of Hindu gods in Simraungadh and the karnats kings had built many temples in whole Mithila but there is not a single temples of that period. You can imagine the destruction of Mithila. I have read Varnaratnakar which describes about the Simraungadh and the city was huge literally great city. But he destroyed it completely. He left not a single temple in Mithila. The perfect example of this is temple of Sakhra in Saptari district. It was located far from Simraungadh but still they destroyed the temple and beheaded the idol there and still the idol has no head . After this destruction they used to take heavy taxes from people of Mithila

So buddha saying Paramo Dharma Sanatanah is fake huh. The vedas existed first, then the vedangas, upanishadas and puranas. Ramayan and Mahabharat came during the respective yugas as smritis. Then Finally came the jatakas in the kaliyuga after buddh started his teavhings. Buddha is infact the 8th avatar of Lord Vishnu himself. Buddha never said to make a new religion, neither did he say there is no god. He himself is a follower of sanatan dharma. Even their names are from sanskrit.
