More accurate compared to other Indian Bloggers. I would say 90 % correct. Nepal, often misconceived as a small country, stands as the 49th largest nation globally in terms of population and the 92nd largest in terms of area. Surpassing over 110 countries in size, Nepal shares its vast expanse with a population akin to that of Canada and Australia. With an expansive border spanning 1770 km with India, the length surpasses the distance between Delhi and Mumbai. To dismiss Nepal as 'small' becomes an oversight when considering the enormity of its territory unless one can traverse the Nepal Himalayan Ranges from west to east in mere minutes/hrs. Beyond geography, Nepal is a land rich in cultural and historical significance. Revered as the home of Shiva/Pashupatinath, Buddha, Sita, and the indomitable Gorkhali soldiers, it encompasses treasures like Swargdwari, Muktinath, Yalamber, and the legacies of Malla and Lichchhavi Kings. Notably, Jung Bahadur Rana is the first Asian ruler ever welcomed at Buckingham Palace in Britain. Nepal and India, bound by a shared culture, religion, and the mother language Sanskrit, stand united in the potential to collectively address modern challenges. Together, the commonalities between these two nations form a strong foundation for collaborative solutions in the face of contemporary issues. Jai Shree Ram, Jaya Mata Sita !

I say, though being an Indian that I hve no regret wht Jung Bahadur Rana did by supporting Company in 1857 and supporting the British Crown over Indian Independence. This is because if he had not done this Nepal too would have been colonised which would have ended the Hindu Kingdom of Nepal. So, in order to protect Nepal he put his emotions with India aside & I appreciate his move. @M*sevou Technically, Gurkhas had lost war. If sugauli treaty wasn't signed up, then our Nepal would have been fucked up. Moreover, we Nepali's are still stuck in those times, stating about how braveful were out forefathers. Now, though, we're one of the poorest country and weakest. Past is past.
Quick correction, Nepal was in existence long before Britishers arrived in the Indian sub-continent. Back in those days only Kathmandu was called "Nepal". Newari people are the natives of Kathmandu and their language is called 'Nepal bhasa', it's different from Nepali language. Nepali language back in those days was called 'Khas bhasa'.

It was not 1923 that British recognized Nepal's independence. When Jung Bdr Rana helped the British to quash the rebellion, the British agreed to return back land they had seized after Sugauli treaty. This was sufficient to confirm Nepal's sovereignty. And can you imagine Jung Bdr also successfully built the "boundary pillars " at that time all along Nepal-India border. This was a feat comparable to building the GREAT CHINA WALL to safeguard territory from the enemies.
But i feel bad about the way India encroaching on our border illegally and our chutya neta remains silent. We should protect our borders, our ancestors worked really hard to unite Nepal and now we don't give a shit?
If Nepal have supported India, then Nepal and India both could have a better future than today. By the way, No Hates for Nepal because India and Nepal are like brother.
If Nepal had supported maybe today Nepal would have been part of India, which is the biggest nightmare for any Nepalese. The most important thing for Nepal and Nepalese has always been its independence and sovereignty. Indo-Nepal have been deteriorating since India had interfered in Nepalese border issues, since Indira Gandhi was PM of India.

One of the reason of "Jung Bahadur Rana" favouring britain was that because at one time Garhwal's king partnered with Britishers to remove Gorkha rule from uttarakhand. After that winning half of Garhwal came under Britishers which was known as "Company Garhwal".
When most indian guys says there were no Nepal in old times, it gets my nerve really high. There were several kingdoms in Nepal like India was also having several kingdoms. True fact is India is still divided but Nepal is not. Means, not only in old times but also in recent times, India doesn't exist but Nepal do exist. FYI, Kathmandu city was known as Nepal (नेपा: as with Newari culture) in old times, later Prithvi Narayan Shah merged all kingdoms into this and Kathmandu was named as its capital city.
Exactly and some indians still try to argue. They are so hypocrites. They argue that Nepal is a part of India but their tempers get high when British claims Indian food as their. 😂
@@thekerlastory7312 I think you didn't get my intension, when you guys say Nepal din't exist but India exist, I'll say even today India doesn't exist. Look at your country, it's not united at all, you guys hate yourselves mentioning South India, North India. There's always wars between South Indian movies and North Indian movies by the way. How do you think India exist when you guys claims there was no Nepal, it had different regions, it doesn't mean it din't exist. It was unified. Hope, you get my point now. And by the way, come visit to Nepal and tell yourselves Nepal is more developed than India, I have visited India, but there're no road in may cities, how do you think India is more developed than Nepal? Just visit once our country, you can find many good things compared to India. It's just poor by concept not in reality. We're richer!!! If you hate Nepal, we double hate India, if you love Nepal we double respect India. That's it.
@@thekerlastory7312I think you need to learn proper history. You don’t even know the origin of the word ‘India’.India word comes from the river Indu which was the cradle for Indus valley civilization. At those times Romas used to refer the kingdoms across the river Indus as India thus gaining the name. Greeks used the term “Hind” which later became Hindu, Hindustan. India was only widely used by Britishers but they didn’t named the country as India and while you claim that Nepal didn’t exist then you really gotta know about history before typing useless comments. Nepa valley or Nepal mandal existed way before the gorkha annexed the kingdom. Those days Kathmandu valley and it’s surrounding kingdoms were referred as Nepal Mandal( kantipur, patan, bhadgaon, kirtipur, Dolakha, Makwanpur, Nuwakot, Ramecchap etc). While the word Nepal itself has many origins but Tibetans(Bhotiyas) used the term Nepal denoting the Kathmandu valley. Ne means home and pa means wool as plenty of sheep were reared in kathmandu valley. Muslim did invaded Nepal twice or if you look by present days Nepal then thrice actually. Sultan of bengal invaded the kingdom of Simraungadh (karnat dynasty) which then destroyed to such an extent that the royals of Simraungadh had to flee to Bhaktapur to seek refugee and also from where the Malla clan goddess Taleju Bhawani was brought. In 1349 shamsuddin illiyas invaded the valley causing havoc and destruction. Countless temple, houses and palaces were burnt to ground and even the most famous temple ‘Pashupatinath’ was completely destroyed by the muslim invaders. The second invasion was done by Gayasudin Tuglagh.

@M*sevou wtf go and fight with fist in war

Exactly right ❤
We still use the dasgaja pilla called jungee pillar as boundry but our leaders dont give shit

If Nepal have supported India, then Nepal and India both could have a better future than today.
By the way, No Hates for Nepal because India and Nepal are like brother.
I also think so
If Nepal had supported maybe today Nepal would have been part of India, which is the biggest nightmare for any Nepalese.

Thanks for explaining this
When most indian guys says there were no Nepal in old times, it gets my nerve really high.
