Just don’t get off the vehicles. The lions see the vehicles as larger creatures. Walk around on foot and you are down to their level and fair game if they want to bother.
They won't. I get what you are saying, but those vehicles and multiple occupants are viewed as large beasts. Kinda like an elephant, but unlike an elephant, totally harmless. They see them as part of their environment. It's also why you are told never to get out or try to touch them.
I have always said, Three things wild animals need is respect, love, and their space. Last being important for this reason. If they feel cramped it can become dangerous for not just the people but for the wild animals alike. We all know who pays the price if something goes wrong, the wild animals!!
Two or three of four things about that. The tour group cars are on the dirt road. They are where they are supposed to be. The lions may have approached them after they were already stopped. We only look at part of the video. The lions do not seem at all bothered by them. As a matter of fact, they do not even acknowledge them. It is obvious the lions are used to visitors and cars. The male lion is triggered by one of the lionesses, not by humans. We should be as close to the animals as possible without harming them.
All its gonna take is for one pride of lions to attack two or three vehicles and it’ll end. This is just stupid. They don’t have any business out there with those lions like that in my opinion anyway.
If it wasn't for those tourists and their money this nature reserve and its animals would probably not even exist. Talk is cheap without knowledge and understanding.
He's pissed because he got bit in the ass by the female lol. These trucks aren't in any way considered as a bunch of humans giving them no peace, with strange technology. These trucks and occupants are part of the lion's environment (since cubs) the same way other animals are. They look upon the vehicles as large animals, like elephants, and not multiple individuals. Lions don't see them as a threat either so it has no instincts to attack... That's why they walk by them or can lie down so close. These people on safari bring a lot of money into the economy and the neighbouring towns, so there's no harm in them putting on these tours. They have a lot of respect for the wildlife. Not even close to being like inner city zoos. So no need to be so disgusted.
What I can never understand is these vehicles being open top and so close. In Safari parks in the UK , there are constant signs and audible announcements stressing constantly for you to keep all windows and doors locked at all times. You are not even supposed to open a window an inch. Yet these people sit right next to these dangerous animals calmly in open cars. How this is even allowed amazes me , from a health and safety risk also the potential of lawsuits if things go wrong.
I watched the video on that those lions are so used to those cars and trucks from the time they are cubs they see those things they consider them part of their environment and they will not attack them because they consider that vehicle too big to beat
@@vexeddogplants5180 This. I watched a video and it was said that lions saw these vehicles and it's occupants the way they would see elephants... As large beasts they don't want to challenge. As mentioned, they're part of the lion's environment... and something that's harmless.
What does a safari in UK contain? Bears? Deer? Maybe some badgers and foxes and squirrels and boars? I don't know why you need such protection from such little woodland animals? Just stay in your convertible jeep and follow instructions.
The lion was annoyed because the females were sniffing his ass, not because of the closeness of the vehicles, like many commenters are implying. Lions will sometimes come over to vehicles and lie in the shade, or use them as cover when stalking. These lions seemed very relaxed around the vehicles.
What ever camera you are using I wish you would share it so others would learn how to present Y.T. videos. Top notch presentation. Oh and you could not pay me to sit around like that around wild lions. I have worked around them , highly dangerous animals.

This was filmed on an iPhone 11. Thank you for the interaction!
Lion looks up at the jeeps and thinks " Oh look, a smorgasbord". These people are nuts being that close in an open vehicle. As Forest said.." stupid is as stupid does.."
Lions and other animals see it as one big object like a big rock. They warn people to be quiet and not make movements with the arms, hands, etc that they might see them. And not stand up or get out. Then they are undetectable as life forms, commonly know in those parts as "dinner".
Not a fan of being so close to man eaters and not sure how quick those guys with the rifles can react if the female lion decides to jump on one of the vehicles.
There have been numerous and great answers as to why the lions completely ignore the humans. If that suddenly changed, I wonder what the experts would say then.
Could this be a rehearsal of “ dying in the most natural way ? “ just out of curiosity ,would the insurance company pay these tourists even if they have bought travel insurance ? ??
I am from Africa. These lions are fed plenty before the tourists tour so they are not hungry. It is a business. Nothing more. These lions became lazy and don't hunt anymore. They wait for free lunch. Humans are bad.
Damn see what happens when classic Discovery Wild and Animal Planet channel also National Geographic Wild stopped showing very good documentaries of Lions,Tigers,Jaguars, and other awesome animals you get people with money crowding the natural habitats the animals get cramped or killed if they do react naturally towards unknown things in their space go to the zoo or something people geez
Eff that. One of those lions get pissed theyre so close that lion is so close itll be on them before they can start the car. Plus theyre likely to attack in group
So many tourists vehicles! This is nothing short of stalking and ought to be considered a legal offense. It beggars belief how shamefully humans behave.
That's how I feel on Sundays, when I'm watching football and my wife brings up some chores for me to do.
😂😂😂😂
😂
hey buddy, what is this shwarma surname just curious to know...
Ridiculous how close they are by the lions
This is Africa!
Your point being @
Stop baiting or implying. His answer is clear as it is. It’s Africa, therefore there are lions and you could get up close and personal if you dare.
@@wtlcw1oo8yes of course and I get thru want
Pictures but after they get them
They should
Move back

I wonder when the lions will figure out that they are being watched by a potential source of food.
Deadliest animal is the human

I'm not surprised they get annoyed with all you voyeurs so close.
Looks like an amusement park....
@eddiebyword3363 that’s a classic 🤣🤣🤣
@@groupersti Yes, and sometimes those poor creatures don't find encroaching humans very amusing.
Lion was annoyed because of his arse getting bit..
So we can’t look at animals in the wild now? It’s never enough with you people
With so much open space, why the hell do the sightseers park so damn close? Back it up just a bit, give the lions some elbow room.
Yeah no
Kidding this is nature and they need to give animals space

I know right 👍, Very dangerous.
The tour guides probably seek to appease the tourists' desire to get up close and personal with wild animals.

The lioness who came over, she caressed his mane, she then commenced to bite his tail. That is when he become agitated.
Women amirite
She wanted to cuddle ❤
Maybe she did it for a reason and he was in no mood 😂
Open vehicles and surrounded by Lions? No thanks.
I'm sure they have a couple of equalizers.

You're OK as long as you stay in the vehicle. Once you get out, you're in Lion Territory and lunch.
@@jcline147 yep. For the last 20+ years I dreamed to go on a safari but I wised up. Now I can easily afford it but..............
Yep don’t get it, they are asking for trouble and the lion will get them before they can reach for the gun
5 lions and 50 humans. A pestilence called tourism.
Mass tourism is a curse and this fact make the male lion angry.

No way it is safe to get that close to wild lions. Insane actually.
Is not insane is plain stupid. In the top of that I bet if any of the lions decided to attack by instinct will be killed..leave them alone
I agree though I would guess this is a national park and the lion human encounter occurs quite often so they both get used to it.
It’s completely safe. The lions won’t attack them because they see as a singular thing.
@@cameronhowe1110 Only way I’d ride on that open jeep tour is with a .416 Rigby on my lap.

I thought the other lioness was complaining to the guide at 1:22. It looked like they were having a conversation 😲😳

an accident waiting to happen. What if they suddenly attack? Am sure those rangers rifles are not going to help much in such proximity
They strap snacks to the front of those vehicles😅
Give them some space.🙏🏼
When it seems like they can't kill the lions anymore so the people seems to be annoying them all day even in the night too
Looks like a lion fast food restaurant.

The lionesses neglected to bring the beer.
A lion is a male. Like saying it's a male male lion. A lionesss is a female lion. Write it down so as not to forget
He is fast
He just got comfortable under the tree...
So much complacency, even the ranger is chatting away, so much movement on the vehicles. Quite annoying x

Knowsley safari parks busy
Sometimes tourists come and watch me lying in bed taking photos of me and my girlfriends. No privacy anymore.
This video shows that lions are definitely the most social of all felines. They seem to be ok around people.
For the moment -- until they have a "change of heart."
Hallucinant le nombre de voitures autour des lions , foutez leur la paix !!!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom looks busy.

How does a human become a vehicle again if a cat bangs into him?
