    Back again y'all! This little Meat Church review is intended to find you the best all purpose rub no matter what you're cooking up. It seems like most BBQ seasoning these days is just salt and some spices. But I think Meat Church is bringing something new to the BBQ rub game by providing sweetness and some complexity that adds to your dishes, rather than overpowering them. And having a go-to dry rub in your cabinet is (in my opinion) one of the essentials of outdoor cooking. It saves you the hassle of creating a meat seasoning blend from scratch every meal. Every guy with a BBQ channel is making a meat rub these days (is that a spoiler?) and I think it's a great way to shop small. But when you need an all around steak rub, chicken rub, or pork rub, having these two staples in your pantry is a real time-saver. And they're delicious, so there's that.

    Pulled Pork Recipe!
    1. Season pork shoulder with Honey Hog and let the meat absorb the seasoning for at least 30 minutes. If you're letting it sit longer, keep it in the fridge.
    2. Place in over or smoker at 225º for 3-5 hours, spritzing with apple juice every 45 minutes. Once you hit 165º internal, take it off the heat.
    3. Place pork in a foil pan with 3 tbsp butter, 1/2 cup apple juice, and more rub. Wrap tightly in foil and place back in the heat at 275º
    4. Cook until 203º internal, likely around another 3-4 hours. But they all cook differently!
    Smashed Baby Golden Potatoes!
    1. Par-boil baby potatoes in salted water until fork tender. Around 15 minutes
    2. Remove from water and let them cool off for a few minutes.
    3. Smash them with spatula, bottom of a cup, or anything else!
    4. Season generously with oil and Holy Gospel
    5. Place in the over or smoker at 450º for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
    6. Serve with sour cream, bacon, ranch, chives, whatever you want!

    I agree with your choice of honey hog, but my go to is Holy Cow. I even used it on pork butt and I thought it was better than honey hog or Texas Sugar. I use it stand alone for brisket and it compares to my own rub. I think it's because I'm not really a fan of a lot of sugar on the meat.
