I owned this same exact truck, same green color with decals, roll bar, grill guard in automatic, I would love to have restored it like this one, brings back memories!
Very gorgeous!! I’m a 66-77 ford bronco guy but I bought an 82 jeep j10 to work on and tinker with just because of the so distinct and attractive body lines. And I only gave 400 for it.
Thanks for the comment. I paid 500 for mine . Good luck on your restoration. I bought the other day a 1978 cj5 Jeep with 23 thousand actual miles been sitting since 1995 . Going to make a Golden Eagle clone same color as the truck.
you are right with everything you have said, I thoroughly restored a J10 too during the last four years knowing very well how much work it is. Yours turns out as a stunning legend in US american truck history. A real beauty....
This is the best J - Series pickup restoration I have seen in a long while . Beautiful color and attention to detail shows. I have a 1966 Jeep J-2000 that I have restored . It was my father's truck and it has always been a work and plow truck so I did a spray on bed liner. Great job, I hope you keep it.
Almost concours restoration job there. Looking Super Sharp😎 I had a 1979 Cherokee Chief wide track. 2 door, almost identical color of green. 360 V-8 TH400 transmission, Quadra-Trac. I miss that rig.
man you did a fine job, a lot of labor..... finishing up a 76 honcho at the moment, it was a full off the frame resto too.... can't say e-nuff good things about your work, and your wife is a master craftsman too, beautiful upholstery work. dave in NC:)
awesome jeep I love it all original. I am restoring my grandpas 78 J10 not original as it wasn't original to begin with I am upgrading engine, trans, transfer case and axles. I wouldn't do your jeep all original if it were mine but the attention to detail is amazing and I respect all the work you did. I started my jeep restore on UA-cam last week if you care to follow along. great job!
That is beautiful. You did a great job restoring that Jeep. It's not my taste to go back to stock, since I like performance and these trucks were neutered by the late 1970s. So I go with a bit more performance. But on these, some of the stock equipment was pretty good stuff back then and is still good now days, if you can find good replacement parts. My trucks envy the body and paint on this truck. The interiors on these were great. I remember the 1979 J20 my folks bought new and it had this interior. My favorite upholstery. The denim never froze or baked my rear end. Buttons got hot in the summer. Your wife did a great job reproducing the original look. And yeah, the new Jeep Gladiator is just a "Longer Wrongler" in my view. They need to remake these.
I just bought a j10 Levi edition I am starting to restore it I pulled it out of a cow pasture it was sitting there for 20 years with a broken driver's side window so the interior got destroyed good video it helped me get a idea of what the interior is supposed to look like
Very nice. I am about to take possession of a one owner '84 that's in very good shape. Always garaged but was worked some. White with the brown and gold sriping.. Hope to have it looking that good in a year or two.
The front grill guard and roll bar are original to the truck, and were on it when the truck was bought new. bjsoffroad.com has a lot of parts for the full sized Jeep. Good luck on your build.
I completely agree with you. Jeep should of given the new Gladiator a retro look. Ford took that chance with the new Bronco and I think its going to pay off, big time.
I had short beds full size honchos and other just found one trying to get it’s in ruff shape going to be a lot of work did a frame up restoration Cj7 for my wife put a 360 4 speed lite cam roller rockers headers and also have a Cj5 started and bought it from the wrestler Jimmy Super fly Snooka trying to make deal for pick up
I bought a brand new J10 in 1984. I have seen lots of jeep trucks through the years but have never seen one look any better than this one. You need to stop your restoration career now because it will all be downhill after this one. I don't see how you could ever top it.
You Did A Fantastic Job On Restoring Your Jeep Pick Up!!!
Thanks
Simply stunning. This dude is an artist. As incredible a Jeep Truck restoration you’ll see

Jeeps will never be the same.old school rules.

Not many of them have survived. Thanks for the comment.

Very nice. I am about to take possession of a one owner '84 that's in very good shape. Always garaged but was worked some. White with the brown and gold sriping.. Hope to have it looking that good in a year or two.
What a beautiful truck. I have a 1976 and a 1985.
Q: Where did I you find the bumper, my ‘83 J10 is needing a correct bumper.
Mine had the original bumpers . You find one in a salvage yard.
I have my grandfather’s 74 j10 I know it’s a lot of work lookin good 😌
Awesome truck
Dude that looks AWESOME!!! When can I bring my j20 for you to start on? Lol great job!!!
Nice truck, I have three J trucks myself, but none of them look that good lol.
I found a 1978 cj5 golem eagle I’m restoring now painting it same color as the truck
Very nice!
Really nice work. What color paint did you use on the rear bumper.
Used Rustoleum white mixed 25 percent clear in with it
Nice truck 👍🏼
Thanks
What distributor was that?
The new jeep trucks look fragile
Wow!!
Thanks!!
It's god level.
I agree the new gladiators were disapointing.
Restoring the twin to this one but, Im in arizona. Can I ask where you purchased the front grill guard ? Thanks.
The front grill guard and roll bar are original to the truck, and were on it when the truck was bought new. bjsoffroad.com has a lot of parts for the full sized Jeep. Good luck on your build.
Where is this truck today?
Georgia
Beautiful
Thank you
What is the best website to buy restoration parts?
Bjsoffroad.com
I completely agree with you. Jeep should of given the new Gladiator a retro look. Ford took that chance with the new Bronco and I think its going to pay off, big time.

Glad to hear ,your keeping old jeeps on the road.
I wish Jeep would start reproducing those instead of rolling computers....
Agree
@@tjc414 No problem, I can send you pics of my technically restored 1984 Laredo J10 and fully 1985 pioneer, but I need your e-mail adress.
I bought a brand new J10 in 1984. I have seen lots of jeep trucks through the years but have never seen one look any better than this one. You need to stop your restoration career now because it will all be downhill after this one. I don't see how you could ever top it.

Good luck on your restoration. You will be able to find a lot of your parts from bjsoffroad.com. They have a lot of full size Jeep parts.
Thanks for the info I am only 16 and I love the j10 jeeps this info helps a great deal
