I'm digging the look. I have a 79 with that motor. My first had the 360 back in high school. Was going to do ls then decided on another 360 but now this motor is growing on me. I have a T18 I'm swapping in. My cj has the 4.0 and I love it. The 4.2 in mine runs good so it might stay. If you do the swap video it.
I've owned mini truck Jimmy Blazer nothing beats a Jeep especially a j10 I drove one all the way up North fork behind West glacier Montana all the way to the border of Canada best truck
I’m not sure what brand but I know it came out of a yj wrangler.. I ran carriage bolts through the roof lol one on each side.. kinda ghetto but it works good and it was the only way it could mount it without bulky brackets
@@brokenpoortradingco GM engines just don't belong in Jeeps The only exception would be certain 60s models that did under Kaiser use either the Buick V6 or a 350 but even then they were buying AMC engines most notably the inline 6 so to replace it within 96 yes that's perfectly fine and the reality of it is it's your vehicle but still I considered ruined when people put Chevy engines and jeeps it's just ridiculous!
Ok bud. It still beats the whopping 110 hp that motor produced on a good day not to mention it had enough blow by to fill a bounce house plus the top speed of 55 and the fact It burnt more oil than gas then I guess I ruined it lol
I didn’t do a gm motor it’s a stroked 4.0 from a newer jeep witch was based off the 258.. it even has a 258 crank and rods so pretty much the same motor just more power and 5 speed instead of 3 speed it’s all amc/jeep stuff lol.. but if someone wants to ls swap why not it beats any motor amc ever used in almost every way and at least they are driving it instead of letting it rot in the back yard
I love this series of trucks because my dad and grandpa had 1978 j10 and the thing was an absolute beast at off road
