Ha! Just cuz you didn’t see them in seedy clubs, and hotels doesn’t mean they weren’t there.🤣 Celebrities weren’t covered 24/7 back than. They put on a good show.
Before clicking on the video, I already expected a standing ovation, Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, arguably the classiest screen couple ever and undoubtedly 2 of the best actors who ever lived.
Hepburn and Gregory Peck really did have great affection for each other, personally and professionally as a result of their working relationship while filming Wyler's Roman Holliday. Audrey was not an international star at the time of the filming; she had appeared on stage in Gigi, but she had minor roles in several European productions. Peck was consulted by the Studio heads regarding Hepburn's billing in the credits. He said-she has to have billing above the title equal to mine, otherwise it will look ridiculous because this is the breakout role of Hepburn's career-she ultimately won an Oscar!
Gregory and Audrey have great chemistry even as themselves at the Oscars. They should have fallen in love for real, gotten married, and honeymooned in Rome.
Seriously hosting cheaters is not a profession if you're the song Gable. He doesn't even look like him. Gable and Lombard's kids would have been so radiant, like Liza Minnelli to Judy Garland and Isabella Rossellini to Ingrid Bergman.
"I want to thank everybody who ever punched or kissed me in my life and everybody who I ever punched or kissed"- Shanley's speech isn't getting enough love!! Also, super deserved- Moonstruck's script is damn near perfect
Just incredible to see how youthful and radiant she looked, even when she got older. Even on such a rare and huge star such as Audrey, it just goes to show that youth is something you feel and live.
Aside from the thrill of seeing Audrey and Gregory reunited to present the awards, I got a big kick listening to John Patrick Shanley accept his Oscar. He's the real thing.
Gregory peck is thirteen years older than audrey..... Greg was the man more handsome hollywood and old man is adorable. Greg&audrey the best forever......
Audrey and Gregory worked so well together in films I love them both a fine actor and actress❤💐Audrey aged with Grace and allways looked beautiful and stylish❤
Loved seeing Audrey Hepburn up there; such an amazing and classy woman up until the day she died. Also, loved the smile Cher gave at the end! She is too cute! Lol :)
Lovely, irreplaceable Audrey owes everything to Gregory Peck and William Wyler. And she always acknowledged that. I love grateful people. If she could be even more amazing, it’s because of her humility.
For sure, but her comic abilities carried her a long way too. With Roman Holiday, she turned in one of the funniest performances I've ever seen by an actress. Truly incredible talent.
wonderful to see Audrey hepburn and Gregory peck together again. would you please post more from the 1954 ceremony, with William holden winning actor and from here to eternity best picture. thank you very much
We don't usually associate 80s with great films, but look at the nominees in the two categories there! Those films have stood the test of time to become classic. Broadcast News, The Last Emperor, Full Metal Jacket, My Life as a Dog, Moonstruck, and even Woody's often overlooked Radio Days, the competition was indeed quite strong there.
Look at her. While the rest of the audience dresses up in typical 80’s fashion, Audrey however looks stunningly elegant and timeless in her gown. Amazing!
Have you ever seen "Au revoir les enfants" to write such a thing? It's a beautiful screenplay by the late great Louis Malle, and it would have made for a worthy winner.
These actors were talented artists dedicated to their craft who appreciated each other, respected the audience and adhered to traditional values despite a historically sordid industry. They are gone now; replaced with sleazy, no-talent, obnoxious phonies who exploit ridiculous liberal causes to further their careers.
Broadcast News and Hope and Glory were much better films than Moonstruck- better scripts...Cher was great and the film was great- just not a good or well written as the other two.
Hope and Glory...such an underrated film It would have been my choice for Best Picture. The Last Emperor was the most forgettable film ever to win the top prize.
He was at that time was involved with his future wife to be during filming of roman holiday. So if he can't have her for himself why not for his buddy mel. Good on ya greg.
I love how Audrey aged gracefully.
Class does that to a person...
Audrey can't be real. She's too perfect to be real.
Saint Audrey 🙏💕
Audrey Hepburn is/was the classiest woman Hollywood has ever seen
Gregory peck and audrey hepburn...the epitomy of class, dignity and elegance that is sorely lacking in the movie business today.

AGREED!
Lacking in society in general!
Ha!
Just cuz you didn’t see them in seedy clubs, and hotels doesn’t mean they weren’t there.🤣
Celebrities weren’t covered 24/7 back than.
They put on a good show.
Like if you just watched to see Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck! Amazing scenes, thank God for replays and technology. Love this moment!
Lynn Butler Pray for them to be together in heaven!💕
Before clicking on the video, I already expected a standing ovation, Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, arguably the classiest screen couple ever and undoubtedly 2 of the best actors who ever lived.
i love how they stayed friends until she died

Greg&Audrey forever
the most beautiful woman and man of cinema,,,,bellísimossss
Gregory and Audrey have great chemistry even as themselves at the Oscars. They should have fallen in love for real, gotten married, and honeymooned in Rome.
+Cris Guia Their children would be unbelievably talented and insanely gorgeous.
Haley Brianne Yeah, but it wasn't meant to be. We can only dream.
To dream that dream. I always wish Lombard and Gable had babies. Those babies would have broken world records lol!
Jennifer Brigitte For sure! Too bad that his only child, Gable Jr., w/ his 5th wife didn't get to have much of a career.
Seriously hosting cheaters is not a profession if you're the song Gable. He doesn't even look like him. Gable and Lombard's kids would have been so radiant, like Liza Minnelli to Judy Garland and Isabella Rossellini to Ingrid Bergman.
Audrey Hepburn, such a classic beautiful lady.

Aah, together again. Best on screen couple in the history of Motion Pictures. Pure class.
Aww the two of them reunited so long after roman holiday
Aside from the thrill of seeing Audrey and Gregory reunited to present the awards, I got a big kick listening to John Patrick Shanley accept his Oscar. He's the real thing.
Roman Holidays, 35 years later… :)
40 years later
flower_ girl 1953 to 1988 = 35 years
Now almost 70 years
When he said "Royal Highness"...
gregory looks old [but great of course].. but audrey, my god...she looks still so young :) with just some rinkles, but still the same :)
Gregory peck is thirteen years older than audrey.....
Greg was the man more handsome hollywood and old man is adorable.
Greg&audrey the best forever......
Audrey was so beautiful.
Lol :)
The kisses on the cheeks lingers a bit, thats genuine affection. Maybe they had a near plactonic relationship during filming of roman holiday
Audrey's Italian pronunciation, I adore her!
Прекрасная киношная пара......... Жаль, что не по жизни.........🙏🙏 ❤️❤️
Just seeing these two together again brought alligator tears to my eyes...
From somebody who is not a romcom fan: Moonstruck is one of the greatest screenplays ever written. Hands down.
wonderful to see Audrey hepburn and Gregory peck together again. would you please post more from the 1954 ceremony, with William holden winning actor and from here to eternity best picture. thank you very much
Two of my all time favorites, still supremely gorgeous
Class. Two great dazzling stars who had intelligence, elegance and grace.❤
My favourite actor and actress together
How can you be so gorgeous aftet so many years!!
The Last Emperor and Moonstruck has great screenplay.
Manna dey kagaje lekho nam

Oh so hilarious Bertolucci! :) What a great talent.
Wow Gregory and Audrey! :)
She is simply stunning . She wearing a minimum of make up
❤️ Thank You ❤️
A deserved standing ovation
Love Shanley’s speech

John Patrick Shanley is regretting that moment to this day that he missed Audrey Hepburn's second kiss
Amazing J. P. Shanley! XD
"Moonstruck" is really a very good script, I read several drafts but the final draft which won the oscar is still the best!!!!!
Sal Monella
where are your sources? That's quite a statement.
My source is MGM!!!
But who really wrote the final draft??? You got any name???
Sal Monella Shut up, you liar.
Look at her. While the rest of the audience dresses up in typical 80’s fashion, Audrey however looks stunningly elegant and timeless in her gown. Amazing!
A beautiful couple!
There will never be any stars like them!
Bertolucci is hilarious! Loved his joke or he just told the truth lol
Everyone: Audry hepburn
Me: Hoping to see Kubrick
He was probably reading something and finding his next project
"Roman Holiday Part 2"
there was supposed to be a part 2 but it never met production
my babies
They don't do these types of presenters anymore. They always either recycle Tom Hanks-Halle Berry-Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt ad nauseum.
none that are in my top favorite actor or actresses anyways. bore *yawn*
Me encantan ❤
🙇
Two ✌ incredible life times
The audience preferred MY LIFE AS A DOG...
For Original Screenplay the list should have been:
Moonstruck
Hope and Glory
Broadcast News
Radio Days
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Have you ever seen "Au revoir les enfants" to write such a thing? It's a beautiful screenplay by the late great Louis Malle, and it would have made for a worthy winner.
I think Robocop should have been nominated over Moonstruck. Moonstruck’s screenplay is really bad with such weird non sensical scenes.
The Princess Bride should at least be nominated for Adapted Screenplay. It has some quotable lines in that movie.
So nice.
John Patrick Shanley thanked everybody but Guido the local mob collector.
love
КАК ОНИ ТРЕПЕТНО ОТНОСЯТСЯ ДРУГ К ДРУГУ
The Princess Bride should have won Best Adapted Screenplay. That holds up more than The Last Emperor.
Miss Hepburn, without words, there were Charlie Chaplins, Circus and Citylights🤣
El oscar era para Full metal jacket, pero bueno siempre habra que quedar bien (China en este caso) en estos premios
Moonstruck was never mentioned!!!
the sounding of 88 Oscars were really poor
God💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Full Metal Jacket and Hope and Glory should have won

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Adapted Screenplay should have been:
The Last Emperor
Fatal Attraction
Full Metal Jacket
Cry Freedom
The Princess Bride (WINNER)
Too bad The Princess Bride isn't nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. It was snubbed. It became a huge cult classic.
The perfect human being whom God created.
With the best inner beauty.
I feel actors look better now when the have aged just look Audrey here she was 58 in 1988 but looks like 10 yrs older
siddharth nagar has everything to do with surgery
She looks heavenly - better than I ever will!
Wow, Eddie Murphy did not protest that a black writer did not win?
Dam! Nowadays the Oscar's is complete 💩💩💩! !
Wtf happened?!? 😳
RIP Olympia Dukakis 🙏
Loved her in moonstruck!!
Moonstruck is a marvelous movie , but wow what a jerk wrote it !
Moi ulubieni aktorzy
Audrey Hepburn died the following year I believe.
nope
emerybayblues 5 years later, about. January 1993. This was 1988
gmawneydawgness on Clinton’s first Inauguration Day, no less
Ms Hepburn too thin.
doesn’t take away from her beauty.
Roman Hollydays le plus beau film 🎞 pour le plus beau couple 🌹👍❤️
Broadcast News and Hope and Glory were much better films than Moonstruck- better scripts...Cher was great and the film was great- just not a good or well written as the other two.
Hope and Glory...such an underrated film It would have been my choice for Best Picture. The Last Emperor was the most forgettable film ever to win the top prize.
Nick Mayor Last Emperor WAS long and boring- but I thought Gandhi was more forgettable
thx
The kisses on the cheeks lingers a bit, thats genuine affection. Maybe they had a near plactonic relationship during filming of roman holiday
gregory introduced audrey to her first husband, mel ferrer so she wouldn't have had her son Sean without gregory
He was at that time was involved with his future wife to be during filming of roman holiday. So if he can't have her for himself why not for his buddy mel. Good on ya greg.
@@abdsamad1959 eh, Mel and Audrey ended up divorcing so maybe he’s not much of a matchmaker.
