This is one of very few vids of ploughing, that has not a single flaw to see or find. Very nice job done there, beautiful setup, nice flow of material. And the filming is just right.

Nice job plowing! In my area which is in Northwest PA, there is a lot of farms that grow potatoes and when they put a crop of them in most of the farms use rollover plows to plant that crop. But when the potatoes are off they will rip or chisel plow it and put in wheat usually. They often no till soybeans after the wheat is off or wait and put corn in there the following year with minimum tillage. They generally put potatoes every 4 or 5 years depending on everything and grain crops beans, corn and wheat in between.

What type of ripper do you use, we always run our 9 shank subsoil at 15in depth in front of our soybeans. We've definitely found its beneficial for the beans but not so much before the wheat. We also run it over our new alfalfa ground before leveling & drilling. I'm in SW Oklahoma.

@@mikep7810 We run 800 head of cattle per year, we split our ground around half soft and hard wheat/soybeans. Half the wheat ground is split between early and late beans with half being left fallow in a rotation. We also rotate appropriate ground with alfalfa planted with a Brill every 4/5 years. Once tried pink eyed peas ended up with 60% on the ground after having to drape them because of defoliation and bad weather. We run 2500 total Acres between me and my boss. I enjoy most of it lol. We do 90% of our own repairs and upkeep except harvest of the beans and bailing. I love your channel and wish you great years to come.

Nice to see some plowing. Brings back memories.
It looks like the coulters need to be adjusted, especially the rear one. It looks like it’s running too far to the right. The bottom leg is catching the edge of the unplowed sod and throwing it around. When the coulter is properly adjusted, that doesn’t happen.
Also, you seem to have an issue with clumps of sod ending up on top of the plowed field. If you install skimmers, you should be able to get rid of that issue.
