I like that with these videos it feels like I'm watching a show or movie but it doesn't flow together so I don't have to pay attention to the plot and I can focus on the sounds.
My favorite movie asmr is in Thoroughly Modern Millie, when Mrs. Meers is going from the elevator to the girl's room and back again. It happens twice and it's so satisfying!
The best ASMR in movies, in my opinion ..... Ever after (when her step sis puts medicine on her back after a whipping) 🥺 Matilda (when miss honey makes her tea and biscuits) Secret garden (when she finds her aunts key to the garden in her hidden room) Letters to Juliet (when she gets her hair brushed) Thats all I can think of at the moment 💕🩷
There’s a scene from Buffy 5x05 right at the end where Buffy talks to Dawn and strokes her hair and I’ve always found that suuuuuper relaxing. It’s from about the 42:40 mark until the end of the episode and it’s 👌
The Hours is basically entirely an ASMR experience, but specially the final dialogue between Meryl Streep and Juliane Moore, so good! very up close clear and crisp sound, you can tell the focus was the dialogue, the words, there’s barely any lighting at all too. also, most Tarantino movies have good ASMR, I imagine it’s the mic/sound setup, but specially on Kill Bill, the dialogue between Uma Thurman and Daryl Hannah while she reads and smokes, you can hear the cigarette burning, the mic just captures it so well! and I feel like ASMR in movies are one of our first ASMR experiences so it comes with a good feeling of nostalgia too! 🥰
2000s: great sound, distant nice voices 1990s: quiet feeling, great mid atlantic dialect 1950s: wonderful colors (or lack there of, then wonderful imagery) and a bright omnipresent sound and strong mid atlantic accent 1920s: orchestral, great imagery, lovely and intense 1880s: perfect sound. I realize this seems more like a ethical preference but it is meant to be a joke, you can take it either way.
2:00 exactly. I Love Rizzoli and Isles! I would watch that before sleeping all the time! They're funny and relatable. They helped me cope when my friend died, because theirs, Frost died around the same time as well. Good show, 10/10 recommend. It's on hulu!

Can't get enough of it.
If you’re thinking about making more of these there is a scene at the beginning of “Under the Skin” with Scarlett Johansson where she is undressing a woman, sounds a bit weird but it’s actually a major asmr trigger, maybe worth checking out?
There is some really good stuff in the *Witcher*, *game of thrones *and the scene where Mary is summoned to court in the *other Boleyn girl* because of the voice of queen Catherine of Aragon and *reign* Catherine de Medici has the best asmr voice
Ricky Gervais made me discover Asmr by watching the office . U know that scene where he's in his office and garath gives him a massage after David's row with his boss .
