People who say "It doesn't do Plexi or 800 tones exact" are looking at it wrong. What the JVM does do, in my opinion, is give you 95% of basically every Marshall amp ever made. The architecture, essentially 12 channels, the 800 power section, you basically get the entire Marshall history in one amp. And that makes these amps very special. 💪
Yes and worth mentioning that it does get closer to 800 and plexi sounds than any other amp. As well as having its own unique flavor when you dial it in right and more gain on tap than you could ever need. Really fuckin cool amp.
Hey Euge, I have the 2 channel version of this amp, and I’m absolutely loving it, every time I play through it at rehearsal I learn something new and find a new great sound, you inspired me to move to EMG pickups and I’ve recently fitted a ZW set to my Orville LP and an 81 to a Aria Pro 2 Jim Root style telecaster. The combination of Japanese guitars, Emg pickups and the JVM is fantastic, I really enjoyed your review of this amp and others on your channel, keep it real. 🤘🏻

I was going to buy a synergy system but you have convinced me to go a head and buy another marshall . Right now I have a 2204S that I've had since I was 15 and I'm 45 now . Back when I bought my 2204S when I was a kid I only paid 500 bucks for the whole half stack .
Another great demo. I just got one of these, JVM410H, for a great price in excellent condition. It's fast becoming my favorite Marshall, and giving my Engl E651 Artist Edition serious competition. Sitting atop my 2 x 4x12 Marshall fullstack it is impressive looking, and loud, because I like the sounds with the Master at 6+. 😁 I use the clean and crunch channels mostly, from JTM, JMP, to JCM 800 for the rhythm tones I prefer. Thinking about using OD1 / OD2 for leads... so many great tones in this amp.
Hey zoom zoom, glad to see you here because I have question to you while you have engl artist and jvm410 together. I have fireball 100, it has cool modern metal tones I really love it but it doesn't give me iron maiden vibes, that's why I want another amp. I play in my room so no gigs etc. What do you think would you rather have marshall for iron maiden or can engl artist do that as well? If I go with marshall I'll get 4x12 bhw cab with g12h30, if I get artist I'll go with 4x12 engl pro cab which will look much better stacked with my current setup (fireball +2x12 engl cab). Thank you in advance
@@Krankenstein The Engl Artist is more classic hard rock, and very Marshall like to my ears. I have my Engl dialed in for '70s - '80s Kiss Paul Stanley tones, and he's been using these for the last several years - I even found his settings, and it can easily get AC/DC tones. The JVM410H gets even more variety which is what I wanted to cover a wide range of Marshall tones from JTM to DSL2000 / Silver Jubilee. It gets more gain than any other Marshall I've played. It does a good range of 1959SLP Plexi and JCM 800 - i.e., all close enough for me which is what I wanted. It's not going to do these other Marshalls better than the real thing, but I wanted variety. I haven't listened to much Maiden since many years ago, saw them a few times when they toured with Priest. Both really sound like Marshall JMP / JCM 800 would get you there, but investigate for yourself. For my favorite sounds, the Engl Artist covers them; the Marshall JVM410H covers them and more. For modern metal, I have Engl E530 preamp and E850/100 rack which I purchased new over a decade ago. Many good choices, IDK which is best for anyone else but me. Cheers!
@@zoomzoom3950 thanks a lot! While I'm looking for one specific sound probably I'll need one trick pony amp. I mean I watched many JVM videos and all had so bad noises.
@@Krankenstein JVM isn't too noisy, not doing high gain but it gets noisier with high gain. Could be the shielding on the guitars? I have a noise gate pedal if it gets bad, always good to have IMO; same with EQ pedal. I don't use any dirt pedals with either amp, the EQ pedal can provide a slight clean boost.
I recently picked up a used JVM410H with the 1960AV it came in with and I'm in love. I haven't put any overdrive pedals infont of it yet but I might have to experiment soon. Is the 1960AV a good cab for this amp or is there a better cab for this head?
Hey euge, firstly thanks so much for all the videos. I love how much you love Marshall's. How do you find the 410h with the suhr reactive load? Really wanting any excuse to give me the green light here 😅

Hey Euge. Thanks for the video. I have this amp, I love it… but the effects loop drives me nuts!! It seems to suck tone and volume and sounds weird and muffled. Doesn’t like my tc electronic plethora x5 at all! So I have to run it in the front, which is fine on the clean channel but with gain the reverb and delay then sounds terrible. Do you know much about this kind of problem? And any fixes/advice? I’ve read online that this is a known problem with the JVM effects loop. Just so frustrating because I love the versatility of the amp but a dodgy effects loop is making me consider selling it. Cheers from the UK. Jonny

V30s are great and when you mic a cab you’re going to mic one speaker anyway to avoid / minimize phasing issues (if mic’d with several mics) so it doesn’t really matter 😎.
