When it comes to both versatility and brutality, I always find the JVM series of Marshall Amps to deliver the goods each and every time. Great job as always Jon!
I'm not a tube amp person, I don't like having things that are high-maintanence and consume space but if I ever could get my hands on this beauty, I'd do it no second thoughts, I love this amp so much
Really nice demo. Absolutely want one after watching this, the cleans sound like they will do well with pedals, it gives a great alt rock tone and a great hi gain, esp with the EMG pickup.
A suggestion that I believe you are implementing already. It would be very good to have some commentary before and after the guitar playing. Especially your conclusions on how it sounds and feel in the room (youtube audio makes everything sound more or less the same), sensitivity of controls and overall impression. You've became my favorite amp review channel!
Fantastic Demo !! I receive my JVM 410 H and I would like take a 4X12 for this amp. And I hesitate between a Marshall 1960 BV or a 4X12 Mesa Equivalents. Hard choice...
Hi SDS, I do get a very noticeable amount of noise with my JVM and I was wondering how you don't get any high gain hiss from yours. I'll be glad if I could get some tips from you or anyone here. Thanks a lot.
This video just popped up, and this is SO weird, but before I went to bed, I dreamt I had a Gretsch that was the same color as your (mint green?) Tele. Is that was it is and what color is it?
It's a great sounding amp. I don't believe in "best" though. What someone sees as best is just their opinion. I think there is best for a particular player, that they can find through searching for it with what's out there. But that's it.
This amp definitely sounds killer... this one it's not the Joe Satriani version, right? Have you tried the JS version Jon? it seems has some killer mods and adds... anybody could confirm that? or do you think the features of the plain 410H is enough?
JS has a noise gate, but no reverb. And 2 high gain channels, instead of 1 that ordinary JVH has. It is said JS has bigger transformers and smth else is different from regular JVM. There is a very detailed review/comparison video by Tonny/Tommy?Mackenzie of both models on youtube. I have JS, very good amp in my opinion.
@@luckyspook8407Both of the 410s have 2 high gain channels but you can really dial up the crunch channel a lot too, especially with EMGs. The EQ is in a slightly frequency between the 410s on the high gain channels, but it’s all a matter of preference.
Man I have been thinking about buying a new amp and the JVM 410h is definitely high up on the list but can´t decide. What are your favourite tube amps at the moment? And if you have to decide for one amp only (as in my case) which one would you choose?
I'm not a huge marshall fan. Kinda for the silliest reasons too. I do not like the knobs and buttons. I know. Just roast me now.... lol but seriously if I were to purchase a marshall it 100% would be this one. This thing is simply just a Swiss army knife of an amp.
@@SonicDriveStudio my initial thought to that is "no way I wouldn't change knobs on my amp." But I did just that on my evh el34 head. Lol. I put a green knob on the clean channel volume, blue knob for second channel volume and red for third channel volume. All matching chicken heads of course. I did this so I can look over at my amp and know where I am quickly in the sea of knobs on that thing. Lol it looked funny to me at first but now it just looks like thats how its supposed to be. And it serves a function beyond cosmetics.
This sounds great and recording it’s great . But with drums and live it just don’t have that Marshall roar like the other Marshalls like jmp and jcm 800 . Even my 2000 ate it up live . Great riffs too man
@@moisttowelette5353 it’s cool sounding in a room and recording. But even dude by dude with my 2000 it just never opened up like my old Marshall’s . That roar that scares you lol
did you ever get the chance to check out the 410 HJS joe satriani signature? i had both at the same time, i bought the HJS because the regular 410 just got bad reps as it came out being overgained, fizzy, noisy and also overdesigned..so i sold the regular..2 years later i got a great deal on it and just bought it again and to my surprise, i liked it much more than the HJS model so i sold that one instead..now i see the 410 coming back and is used by so many great bands replacing also the digital stuff, great to see that! cheers 🦾🦾
Still amazes me how much the bass really gives this a massive kick.
The bass guitar or the Low end?

Wow. Very versatile amp. Often forget about this one. Great video as always 👍
Great stuff as always Jon! I can’t get enough of that NW-44. Just a sweet guitar and the Aftermath is incredible!
Have you tried the Little Ceases quarto pizza? I Keep seeing adds for it.
Lol, I guess you like pizza
The JVM410H is one of my favorite amplifiers, upgraded from the JVM210H last year after a decade while chasing tone down the rabbit hole again.
Another awesome video, love to see a shootout between this and a full size jcm 800 2203!
Fantastic. Mine should be here next week! I’m excited
Awesome!
Man them riffs are solid as always John. Great vid! Dig that Marshall tone. My go to for my Djenty McDjenterton schtuff. JVM205H owner.
Pure Love , the music is fantastic John! The jvm too
Thanks!
A box full of pleasant tones. Needs some bodom riffs on this one Jon!
I would have if I could have haha
I'm not a tube amp person, I don't like having things that are high-maintanence and consume space but if I ever could get my hands on this beauty, I'd do it no second thoughts, I love this amp so much
I'd love to be a fly on the wall while you're putting together the tracks you use for your demos. Epic jams man!
Really nice demo. Absolutely want one after watching this, the cleans sound like they will do well with pedals, it gives a great alt rock tone and a great hi gain, esp with the EMG pickup.
I have this amp in my studio. Couldn’t want for anything more. Awesome.
Awesome, thank you for that great video. I really appreciate that you distinguished between isolated and mix!

Thanks! I don't talk in this series but I do a lot of amp reviews where I do talk. Sometimes too much in other people's opinions haha! Cheers
@@SonicDriveStudio One cannot make everyone happy! Cheers!
Great amplifier. Currently have the JVM JS410H borrowed from a buddy, works great for dem chugz
I've got the JS version and the noisegate and voicing is perfect.
Loving the Mastodon vibes of the second half of the Pushed Clean clip
Bro your channel is top notch you play like incubus and emery and queens of the Stone Age had a love child really good shit
Thanks!

Hard choice...
That Tele is beautiful and sounds great. What color might that be? Reminds me of Steph Carpenter 3 pickup ESP.
After I got my 410h and used a Helix in 4cm setup I never really felt I needed much more except a wah pedal in front.
Awesome videos!🎉
such a fun amp to play
Actives sound amazing.
So you mean you didn't use the real cabinet for the amplifier but you used ir?. It's a great sound. I respect you.
You should create/sell Quad Cortex captures man this sounds amazing!

What JVM 410 setting would people say is the ideal for Metallica (RTL and MOP era)? I tend to play on OD1 red.
That 8 string part was beautiful
Cheers man!
Your Riffs are so Sick! Do you have a Album out?
Two of my faves are the dsl 50 and the vintage modern

A couple of pedals would do this amp wonders imho. Great demo as always friend!🤘
Did you win the lottery? How does one man have all that gear 😮.

This is the normal version. Haven't tried the Satch

I’m thinking of buying a JVM410c, how does it compare to a DSL 100 JCM2000?
It's more versatile and tighter high gain

As much as I love my Marshall I really miss the Dual on the Rammstein riff.
Il top degli amplificatori di chitarra elettrica
this and the DSL100 are so close despite the price gap
Your JVM sounds so well balanced. What year was yours made? I hear they vary between early ones and later ones
2007 I think. I checked the back of the amp for you
@@SonicDriveStudio Thanks man. My 210 is also a 2007. The year thing seems to have no merrit
@@TheOtherJohnBrowne Yeah no idea tbh
your videos are awesome! deserve more fucking sub!
Thank you!
I like the cleans but prefer Mesa sound for high gain
What tunings do you keep the phoenix and the NW-44 in?
Drop C usually

Best fricking amp in the WORLD!!!!!
No doubt marshal is good for all... But for metal you push limits with irt60 imho
Funnily enough that reminds me a lot of James Hetfield tones !

I’m confused by this. The jvm410 and jcm800 have the same power section. Why would one sound great on stage and the other get washed over?
@@jonfai the jvm is WAY over compressed in the preamp . The compression makes it mush out instead of roar
They are dialing the new marshall like the old one and crying it sounds different.
"Here's a Marshall Amp but actually using Axe FX."

Love what your PLAYING!I get on UA-cam and all I hear is dudes trying to play Blues or this dumbass contrived metal.great playing.great riffs..
