@@rose080891 The real Maria Theresa would never had commit adultery, because she was far above that as a devout catholic, it would contradict her faith,so indeed this is a fictional Maria Theresa that is shown to be not as devout as the real Maria Theresa but seems to partake in the same thing as Francis Stepehen,i mean since this show is fiction and not meant to be accurate perhaps they could have had her divorce him or an annulment or separation of sort.

@@rose080891 Well I would not even call it happiness in fiction, it is an impossible thing that causes her nothing but pain and misery in the series too, especially because of this pregnancy. She basically got nothing more than one night of pleasure with Hadik, a man she had about 10 minutes together on screen before, so it was not even love or a deep feeling, it seemed nothing more than a bit of physical attraction. And in return she got guilty conscience, judgment from others, pain and an illegitimate unwanted child.

@@jahirareyes1102 Yeah, the real MT would have never done such a thing. What bugs me is not just the historical inaccuracy, but also that this makes MT an awful hypocrite in the series. The series extensively showed what strict morals she promoted and wanted to impose on everyone, how badly she treated women of "low morals". And then she also commits adultery? What an awful hypocrite.
