- Another video game remix, this time it's something from The Fastest Thing Alive, Sonic! I've always loved Starlight Zone and decided to give it a go.

Your remaster was like a gift for me after I solo-danced to your Diamond Palace Zone composition for a school dance.

i’m sayin this rn,
somebody HAS to make a mania mod using this for act 2 music
Bruh, As a fellow Thomas music maker, my guy you are absolute G, I felt like I was in Heaven listening to this, real talk
If someone makes a "Sonic the Very Useful" mod for Sonic Mania, this soundfont would be perfect.
Did anyone got the Sleepy mood by l listening by this cool music
George Carlin: After getting through the dreadful underwater maze of Labyrinth Zone, Sonic and Tails enter the bright city of Starlight zone. They were both glad to be here. "I'm glad that's over with." Said Sonic. "Underwater is no place for my speed!" "All that water fried my tablet." Said Tails. "Now I have to build a new one!"
🤣
Classic Thomas Instruments go with Classic Sonic music. Who' knew?
Well, you did, but still.
Sonic the Hedgehog & Friends
Well, both have:
A blue main character, complete with a confident disposition (cocky at times)
A sidekick of the main character who's clad in a secondary color with a childish attitude
A rival to the main character colored red who occasionally serves as the villain.
A fat man with an affinity for machines, often followed by two henchmen.
A pink girl who stalks the main character.
A motif of speed.
@@lakotacorff4012 (Nostalgia Critic voice) It's SONIC THE BLUE HEDGEHOG!!
Fuki Makai Oh please, Doug can’t even criticise a movie properly when he often overlooks obvious details for the sake of a lame ‘joke’ or just doesn’t bother doing actual on the matter and not resort to overly long unfunny gags in his “reviews”.
Also he doesn’t know how to operate a basic filming equipment on his own without having someone helping him. A man who stated that he once studied filmmaking before becoming an entertainer.
Wait, this ain’t about CA. Well, life is like a Sharon Miller episode.
@@rayvenkman2087 Irony
I hadn’t taken this into account before, but the soundfont used in transition music in Thomas is very relaxing and calm! And fits perfectly with Star light Zone!
I was thinking more like Resonance mixed with Break My Stride, but Thomas does fit in there too.
I love that you use the same Thomas soundfont on these remixes
To be honest with a lot of them, the Jupiter is used very sparingly. It's a lot of other synths that do the other instruments like, the flute, strings etc.
Noggieboy the 1980s Fan 0.75 on 0.75... yes.
I was about to say that lol
Happy November 2020😁
@@SudrianAfro I like it~!😊🥰☺️
This is Very cool in 1980's 1990's.
Just....UGH. Too good, man. Too good. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Woah, you even got a legend to comment on your video, congrats!
"One night Thomas the Tank Engine was pulling his evening train, the moon shone brightly as they passed through the Elsbridge viaduct."
I read that in George Carlin's voice.
@@xboxed7202 I read it in ringo stars
Thank you
I read that in Michael Angeles's Voice
I read that in Leo Morimoto's voice
Sonic 1 is why I love city pop.
Ren & Stimpy is why I appreciate classical music.
And Power Rangers was my entry into metal.
Here's some medals for making one of the BEST REMIXES EVER
🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
He definitely earned those medals.
If you end up making the rest of the OST in this style, I'll be justified to learn how to work with the SEGA CD just to add support for these tracks in Sonic the Very Useful Engine AND extend the game like I wanted to 7 years ago.
Hmmmmm
WAIT YOU MADE THAT?????

I absolutely adore this musical aesthetic. Really adds so much color to Starlight! Love your arrangements here.
Listen to Plantasia and Project Green - Green
@@lukel.6582 definitely have checked out Plantasia, fantastic album. I will definitely check out Project Green
Unexpected but pleasant! Are there any more zones you'd like to try and cover? I know i'd love to hear some more sonic stuff!
Wow. I'm impressed. This sounds so... satisfying and calm.
For a second I thought I’d somehow subscribed to a Sonic walkthrough channel without knowing. XD
But this definitely didn’t disappoint, lovin’ the Thomas soundfont in there!
I love how it basically sounds like a mix of Star Light Zone and James's Triumphant Theme!
"It was time for Sonic to go. He had destroyed the fat controller's badniks."
Wonderfully gentle and perfectly paced, with a genuinely ethereal quality that does justice to the original. This right here is a remix.
this track will always remind me of sleepless nights i had 2 years ago while reading bittersweet candy bowl, really chilli track to just lay down and think as well
This is the best ever remix of Star Light Zone. Change my mind. ❤️
This sounds amazing! I hope you make more like this!
One of my favourite Sonic zone themes in a lovely style, great work as always S.A!
I LOVE
One of the best video game remixes I've heard yet! Awesome job!
Wow feels so accurate I’ve got sweating palms remembering how tough some parts of the game were! Booom memories brought back just like that!
You sir have a powerful talent! 🧐
Thanks but this one’s needs a MAJOR update, maybe next month.
@@SudrianAfro look forward to it
the song makes me nostalgic even though i did not hear it until i was an adult. feels like it transcends time :)
You've been on point. Keep it up.
I'm younger than the Wii, yet this remix gives me nostalgia of a time I never lived through...
Check out some other sega classics. Some of them even have remixes similar in style to this one. Plenty have metal covers, and some of those are STILL similar in feel.
If you're interested in bands or musicians with a similar vibe, I gotchu there, too.
@@magne7771 Personally I'm more of an alt rock guy, but I've played through every classic Sonic game at the moment (except for CD, still haven't finished it), but thanks for the suggestions!
@@clipPRmusic Oh then, you're more like me than I figured. _I'm_ a Road Rash guy. There's _nothin'_ quite like playing Tour De Force or 3DO, with an escalating playlist of your choosing.
If you want my advice? Give yourself a 5 minute buffer with something slow. Deftones-level slow. 10-12, if you smoke pot. Before your songs start to ramp up.
I might not have music recommendations, but it seemed like you'd have more fun playing through those like _I_ am. Happy drinking, broham.
@@magne7771 still can’t drink legally here
@@clipPRmusic oh damn, well. It's great fun either way. Good way to kill a night in.
When you _do_ get the chance, grab a six pack first. Somethin' tasty.
This is Beautiful. It’s so touching 😌
And relaxing as well and it very cold outside today
I’m just imagining this being at the end credits of the last ever Thomas episode (that’s like the classic tv series)
This is something that would fit in the Thomas and Friends show back in 1980's.
This works so well!!
If Mike O'Donnell and Junior Campbell were the Music Developers of Sonic The Hedgehog.
You won the highest score with this one! Fabulous!
I saw this in my recommends, and didn't realize it was from you, SA, then I heard the Thomas the Tank Engine synth, and knew exactly who'd uploaded it before I looked. Phenomenal work as ALWAYS.
It definitely sounds like the Thomas remix of this good job I’m so obsessed with this now my childhood came true
Dude! Awesome!! I love Thomas and I love sonic!!
i needed this.
I'm in love with this mix. 💙🦔👟
The night of Busan theme, my imagine. Great job!
This is pure gold!
Well done on this Ty! :D
this is EXACTLY the type of vibe I was looking for this song~
This is my jam! ✨
My good sir you are sending me. Keep up the good work.
i don't quite understand all the talk about thomas the tank engine in the comments, but i understand one thing: this remix is chill af and i love it
Well the tune is kind of the same to the ones used in the early thomas seasons
The instruments used for the remix are from Thomas. You can hear chuffing noises.
So good
OMG this is amazing
Sounds more like the '70s' City Pop Remix. still sounds awesome. :)
Man 2019 were simpler times...
i love it!
Sounds like a British Airways ad promoting Concorde...
Here she is... Three hours from Heathrow Airport... Sleek in design, and faster than an ordinary passenger jet... Flying above the Atlantic over 50,000 Feet, whilst enjoying a fine sip of champagne over the ocean... She is Here... She is Concorde...
Brought to you by British Airways...
This is golden.
Holy fudge this is the best thing I ever heard
Just great
It's less like vapor wave. And more like Thomas wave, wich I love!
It's vaporwave and it's vapor because it's Thomas the Tank Engine... (badum ts!!)
I love this
This makes the word Starlight fit better.
The best remix ever
Thanks for my next song to blast on the school bus!
I'm your 100 comment yayy and I going say this is fire depression ty Man
I don't know why but i cannot get Rick Astley out of my head when i listened to this. I can just picture RIck saying never going to give you up in certain parts of the song. XD
Funny thing is, Siivagunner did a rip of Starlight zone with the joke being "Together Forever" by Rick Astley, which is similar to "Never Gonna Give You Up" in many ways.
I love it
Perfection
Star Light Zone as composed by Mike O’Donnell and Junior Campbell
"One night at Star Land Zone... The Sparkles with the Star's Light at the edge are loved by god at the sky.
A wild Hedgehog appeared. The sky was filled by robots, but nothing was able to destroy.... SONIKKU!, he did the nearest to break up the eggs, and he...
Did it.
It was the day for the needlemouse, and surprisingly enough, he was the best kicking'ya eggs." Real
It gives me old anime opening/ending vibes, I love this
Actually though, why does this not have more views. Like seriously!
ok, this is epic
This is a really fitting outro theme for sonic youtubers
Starlit Sodor Zone
Starlight Zone Good Future
Deserves way more views
COOL
Nice!👍
Thomas’s night in the big city
Why does the Thomas sound font work so well here?
You should take up music making as a career. You are so brilliant at it. I have not heard the music from this game before, but this was so catchy. It sounds like something you would hear at Christmas time ☺.
I do plan to do this professionally some day tbh. Just practice makes perfect I guess
20/10.
Nice
Definitely something you would hear in thomas
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I just imagining in my head where Anri sing this song
I adore the spirit of this remix, and the atmosphere of it is great. Well done!
I think it could use a little more distortion, especially on the lead melody - have you considered recording to cassette and then ripping that before applying the vinyl filter?
i was about to say that this sounds kinda "thomassy" but then i saw who posted it
I work in Cincinnati, Ohio at an office in the Queensgate area. After work I take the I-75 ramp to Columbia Parkway as part of my commute. If you live in Cincinnati and go this way at night... You know... I am always humming Star Light Zone in my car like an idiot. XD
This goes into my "Watch later" playlist. Future me will be grateful to current me.
Didn't remember, clicked, enjoyed. Thanks past me, that was cool
...yes...
The Classic Thomas synths always sound so. . .80s/90s. It's like the definition of Vaporwave or some sort of warm otherworldly feeling. Star Light was meant for this.
Funnily enough I discovered this song when it was used for a SRB2 Kart menu. Music to my ears.
Ok glad I ant the only one that here's old Thomas
i found it finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Check out Airport Lady by Toshiki Kadomatsu, the bassline is already very reminiscent of Starlight Zone
You could add lyrics, make it semi low quality and say this was the work of someone whose career never took off and their one shot at fame had not got released
Is Cool
There actually is a City Pop song that was the inspiration for Starlight Zone. Can't remember the name though.

Airport Lady!
When City pop and Thomas are mixed.
Sodor Night Zone Act 1
I'm loving your music right now! I've recently been rekindling my love for Sonic and to hear this is fantastic! Keep it up! :D
I guess this is how night at heaven sounds like
