Loved this film, as it was in my old stomping grounds, in Banff/Jasper areas. Brought back many memories of some of the hikes I did there back in the 80's, throughout the area......
You are such a lovely couple! And thank you for taking us on tour, your are fun and detailed. I just found your channel and I'm happy about it! Love from Norway.
Live on east coast...Nova Scotia... been dreaming of the west coast (where I've never been).. Canadian Rockies for months.. thanks so much for helping that dream along..
We left England in May 67 at the ripe old age of 20 ' flew to Montreal , then train to Edmonton and started work . The Canadian Rockies , down across the border and up to Dawson Creek was our summer playground for the next four years , great time , great country .
what a great fantastic video. very informative and amazing footage. great narrative voice over and lovely genuine couple. I have subscribed and I can't wait to watch more of your work! Sending positive blessings and love through this hard period for us in the UK and worldwide. X
Thoroughly enjoyed watching your video, one of the best travel videos I've found about the Canadian Rockies so far! Well done. I went in 2004, can't wait to go back someday.
I love that you guys did almost the same trip I did 5 years ago! Except I didn't go to Jasper but it was an amazing eye opening experience. To literally see physical evidence of some of the first life on the planet over 500 million years old. Then to go and see massive bones from animals 70 or so million years ago! It changed the way I see the world. Plus it was all so beautiful! Its crazy to think when my dad went to the Burgess Shale about 45 years ago people could just walk in and out and people would just take rocks because nobody seemed to care. Glad they're more strict these days or nothing would be left.
Wow! Thank you friends! Just an American here, planning to visit Canada for the first time, I am visiting the Canadian Rockies in September, it looks so beautiful and exciting, i am so excited now! Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
A fantastic video. It was very natural, and exactly nature. Truly very informative. Will help me a lot during my visit which I am planning to around beginning of September 2018
Excellent video! You two are hiking animals...incredible! I will be visiting the area in July and can't wait. Thank you for giving me some ideas on hikes and sites. Take care.
Really great video. Tx so much. We are a family of 4 going in Aug 2018 so will be following your trail. We are from the U.K. judging by the accents not far from you tx so
Very pleased that we found your video. My wife and I are planning a trip to the same area this year (possibly June?) and we are looking forward to enjoying the magnificent scenery. Can you make any recommendations for booking an RV? Would you recommend booking campsites in advance, or is there enough availability of electric hook ups to get by on spec?
Hi, yes we did book most of them in advance (complicated until you work it out!) just in case it is full up. It is better to have a hook up and even sewage although we did not have hook ups all the time, just start the engine for half an hour to top the battery up or use the provided generator if you have one (there is a dedicated time to use a generator on site). The microwave/oven would not work without it. There is a good campsite near the Athabasca glacier where you can just turn up and pay in the honesty box (no hook ups). We ran out of time so could not overnight there. Good luck.
Yes, we used Frazerway uk, we went for the C-large with the slide out for extra room. A bit daunting at first to drive but after a couple of hours it's like driving a mini. At the Calgary depot there is a large supermarket to do a big shop for food and a beer shop for non alcohol beer(NOT) You can get your bearing on the large car park.
