Bought a packet of these online before I’d finished watching this video last week. First cast with one today and I landed my PB flathead. Only a few cm short of the 1m mark. Bloody frothing. Cheers.
Haha. It’s Not the first time I’ve seen the catch and forgotten all things logic and practical. Hahaa. What’s worse is it was only after reading your comment I’ve realised how I could have made things work with the net. Hahaa. Cheers Sam ;)
Great video champion, i have been using them on a weighted worm hook and it falls nice and slowly, first cast with the green tiger prawn colour and hooked a 32 cm bream, and then got 3 nice flathead, great review John,
WICKED!! Absolutely hectic,a Muddy on the Pro Lure Cloned Prawn. Johhny these guys should seriously look at sponsoring you for that cos you totally ring true to there selling point of "everything eats a prawn".You sound like me trying to get my lures back lol.I was pissing myself laughing.Gotta say U had me a lil worried though thinking you where going to throw that big Muddy back.
Hahaa. I get so excited when lures like this come along. They’re gonna go so well…. Glad I waited a couple minutes and that family came cruising up the creek ;)
What an awesome fisho you are Johnny and then giving a huge Muddy away “just gold” mate you deserve an amazing New Year hopefully to catch you around Terranora / Womgin one day …cheers Nick
A Muddy, impressive!…..Hey John, have you even gone back and tested some old school lures and see how they compare? 25years ago when I chased flatheads and jack on the north end of the Goldy the go to lure for most was the Manns Stretch 5+ and 10+, I wonder how these would go against todays lures?
Mate that’s a brilliant comment! I’ve got a couple Brand New Manns stretches in boxes and can’t bring myself to fish em… they’ll still kill it imo. I think it might be time to whip em out when I get back. Lures that good stay good I reckon. Will have to see now. ;) Cheers Jason
@@mylurebox if you need any Stretch 10s I left about 50 pink ones attached to snags and rock bars around the Coomera and Salt Water Creek back in the day.
Hey mate, loving the vids. great useful content. love it! I'm getting back into fishing after not doing it since my childhood as my young bloke is keen. These lures look great and I want to try them. what hook have you paired that 1/6 jighead with? looks like a 3/0H? for that better sized flathead
Totally feeling that Danny. I was spewing I didn’t have a couple with me. There’s definitely gonna be a few Jack videos chasing em down rigged that way
@@mylurebox now that ya back. I wouldn’t mind sharing a creek with you one day. Perhaps you can give me some more ideas on it. I have landed an lost some nice fish (an lures)in it.
I love them they just work and look so real in the water. Natural colour definitely looks the best. Only problem they loose the tails easy by nuisance fish
Yeah mate. It was only the longer feelers for me that got pecked. Having said that, they’re an awesome fish catcher and once I’ve dialled in the rigging it’s gonna be a heap of fun fishing em.
Agreed mate ;) you’re on my same wavelength for that. The Barra absolutely loved em up north but for flatty and bass and our locals I’d be all over a 75mm or so
Great vid again Johnny. Any chance of a vid explaining your pretrip / lure planning? I've got loads of lures, just wondering....how do you decide to go with soft plastics versus hard bodies etc.. is what is your way of saying "I'm Gunna take only these lures today".
@@mylurebox cheers. I tend to go for flatties or whiting out in the GC...but then I can get too focused on lure choice..and change too quickly. Funnily enough I'm an old fly fisherman for trout..I guess I find it easier to decide there than out in Broadwater....so I suspect it's partly reading the water better, tides etc...if that plays a role been keen to hear....or let's do a podcast on FAQs ?
I like this lure but they are weak. I had three nice hits the other day and all hits destroyed the plastic. I got a nice flathead in the end on the 4th one. I now put them on backwoods tail first they seem to last a bit longer (still not good) plus that's the way a prawn swims. We need this made out of 10x tuff.
Fruits of ur labour.U can hear him breathing. Maybe homaphridite, bit different. Vids, knowledge & tutoring r spot on JC. Your up there with Busta in my book bud. Fluro
Hi Robert. I was using a 3/0 I’m Pretty sure. It really depends on the fish you’re after too. 1/0 does seem a little small though IMO. maybe a small stinger set up towards the rear will assist
Awww mate for sure. We have headed up to Fraser for the week but if we end up kicking around the in-laws again I’ll def. Get in touch :) Cheers mate. Would be great to catch you
Give it some time Daniel;) This is the first of a few videos that are coming on my channel. It’s going to be a cracking lure for people. The ‘Catches Everything’ is a play on the packet and the interesting side of hooking a mud crab on a lure. There’s more to come
You had me for a moment there John..."This new lure catches everything" - cuts to dolphins....😂
Hahaaa. Couldn’t bring myself to send one out in front of em. Hahaha

Holy!!! That’s incredible mate. What a fish ;) they’re a special lure that’s for sure
Haha, that mud crab gave me a good laugh, he was a cheeky little fulla😂
Me too mate. Better dexterity than me. The way he held that placcy was nuts
Anyone else yelling at the screen, “you’ve got a net right there!”

😂😂
That was hilarious John! I’d have to say that if I came home and told the Mrs I’d let go a crab like that, I’d be sleeping on the couch! 😂
Hahaa. So glad it made it into a bucket for someone’s dinner 🍽

Thanks Anthony. I’ll have to give ‘em a go with the EWG hooks. Thanks for the heads up. Can’t wait to make that change and see how it goes.
Great vid Johnny! Love it mate. Can’t wait to throw these things, so look the goods 😍
And a smaller model to come which will be brilliant too eh ;)
Nice matey. Yeah they look good!
Cheers Bowly. Keen as to send em a bit deeper into those mangroves for some Jack now. ;) I’ve been loving your videos of late too. Great stuff
That muddy catch was insane. Great review mate.👍
Cheers mate. A lucky one esp. after calling it a stick. Haha
have a great new year to u n the fam mate.
Cheers Stephen. All the best to you for 2022 also ;)

Good stuff mate, would love to see if this can catch bream and flathead fished weedless. Looking for that Fat Skipper review too soon mate 😉
Yeah for sure Michael. Once I get some time up the back of one of these creeks it’ll be on

A bit of a belly weighted worm hook would give it a great falling action for jacks and barra up north
For sure mate. Love that style of lure for Jack and Barra.
Great lure landed some serious gts queenfish and giant herring on them bought 3 packets in store before they go out of stock again
Great stuff! They’re awesome to watch in the water
Impressive, even works in the pool! ;)
Hahahaa. Did try tempting the Barracuda in the pool. They’re gonna be awesome
Hey mate what size hook do you rig the 92mm?
Great vid John thanks
Good to hear you’re getting something from it Des. Cheers
Crab taste good?
Hey mate just wondering what rod and reel your running in this video
I remember when you were hooking whiting on a massive stick bait. I think you just outdone yourself with the muddy. What's next lol
Hahahaaaa. Mate that’s so funny. Still shaking my head at that.
Cool video mate 👍
Cheers mate. 👊

One rig that would fire on them prawns would be the weedless with the little pig tail twist lock thing like you do with the paddle tails

Beautiful looking lure mate, you could catch a fish on any lure though👍

Hey, thats hectic.....next you will be hooking a lobster. Love your work.
Looks a great prawn placcy John but imho it would be better 25% smaller...

Why not use the net?
What size hook do you recommend, I bought these lures and worry a 1.0 will be too small
Hi Robert. I was using a 3/0 I’m
Pretty sure. It really depends on the fish you’re after too. 1/0 does seem a little small though IMO. maybe a small stinger set up towards the rear will assist
@mylurebox cheers mate, love the vids keep em coming !!!
1/0 or 2/0 in jig head hooks
Farts around for five minutes trying to get crab in,while net sits in front?
Crabs snip through nets mate
And still wasn't 100% if it was a Jenny or Buck 🤔🤔
Vudu shrimp bis as good as you can get for artificial shrimp 2nd be savage gear
Wow! Tim that Vudu shrimp looks brilliant ;) I’ll have to hunt a few down now. Thanks for the heads up
I wish I could buy them here in USA.
Have you guys got stuff like this that I should check out ?
We got a lot variety of shrimp but I like the pro lure shrimp profile especially the motor oil color.
Good Muddy
So funny to snag one and call it for a stick
"This is going back !".....Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Hahaaaaaa. Glad old buddy showed up eh
That’s piss funny 😂
And you'd loooooooove to sell us one huh?
I don’t sell em mate sorry. I bought mine

John for PM
Hahaa. Stoked to tick off the Muddy on lure mate. Haha
Atomic Plazo rip-off. Carolina Pumpkin was my favourite.
The atomic Plazo is totally different
Wow......click bait. Caught a small car and a crab. Not quite everything now is it.

What’s the PC terminology these days….? Non-binary! That mud crab doesn’t identify as a Buck or Jenny
Hahhaaa.Juck maybe Benny… 🤷🏻♂️you’d have to ask em, I’m sure they’d tell you
Started using them and love it but yea had one bitten in half
