Then when his voice started to change as he got older he just kept on imitating his favorite female singers in same voice he had always used. Somehow by doing that managed to preserve both his upper female sounding register, while at the same time adding on the lower male register
Prior to AGT he did the whole version at the Wish Bus. Singers at AGT have about 2 minutes to sing Cut versions. He did Power of Love by Celine Dion at the Wish Bus too. This guy is unbelievably talented. Without any voice lessons nor training whatsoever. Also pls react to his Con Te Partiro. Beauty and the Beast We Are The Champions by Freddy Mercury at the AGT The Champions. He has so many different voices. Watch him at Ellen de GENERES show and learn a bit more of his background. On second thought, maybe it's better that you watched this one. Because the other vocal coach reactors who see the wish bus performance often say that he would it been better off if he had had more time to breathe between phrases and switching from one voice to the next. So here, he kind of took more time with each voice. So, yeah. It's just that I felt that his contrast between male and female showed better in his wish bus performance.
No need to feel inadequate. Guys like him and Dimash are different in the sense that they had the guts to aspire to practice and reach certain notes that other guys wouldn't even dare to aspire to. There is a natural gift there too, but it's a lot of hard work as well.

Pomoy's singing voice(s) is out of this world. It cannot be compared to Dimash. Dimash's high notes sounds more like a scream with vibrato and he's had countless of voice coaches that's why he sounds artificial whereas Pomoy is self-taught and sings very soft and clean and sounds natural. I have never finished a Dimash song. Pomoy, on the other hand, you can listen again and again and never get tired of it.. Dimash is not on Pomoy's league.
when the reaction to a heavily and badly cut version like this (and everything on AGT and similar shows) was already "priceless" how much better would a reaction to the complete song (eg wishbus) have been ?

Please try listening to Disturbed's/David Draiman covers of "The Sound of Silence " and "If I Ever Lose my Faith in You ." Disturbed is for sure heavy metal but David's voice is truly exceptional. For an example of the metal "Down With the Sickness " is great and "Hold on to Memories " is a wonderful acoustic song giving David's voice a place to truly shine.
I think the best version is still the one on the Wish Bus. Ellen saw that one, had him on her show, and arranged for him to meet Celine Dion.
