You’re not being picky at all! Its just basic stuff and they let you down - not a good look for them at all.

For £80 per person, this really is not acceptable. A 5 * hotel serving gristle in their turkey sandwich is definitely a no no, the chef let you down. There's plenty of other choices when it comes to afternoon tea...
