    When Nick asks the waiter if they dip the cheeseburger and he replies "if you want it", I got the impression that if you ordered a cup of coffee and asked for it to be dipped, they'd figure out a way of making that work.

    don't think I'm a fan of the wet bread. but I think, like most people have mentioned here, the sauce would be better off the side so you can pour it (or dip in it) later. I still prefer the bread to hold its shape while you're taking a bite out of it.

    • @normandea
      @normandea 5 років тому +3

      I agree. When the bread is soaked in the aus jus, it just disintegrates. On the side would definitely be best.

      @@normandea I've been there and had it both ways. It's honestly better soaked. The inside of the bread gets amazing and soft, but the outside still has a crust. It's really hard to explain.

It always seemed like this bizarre restaurant, a low, windowless building set on a concrete island. Whenever I walked by it, which was nearly daily, I thought "That place cannot serve good food." What is interesting is that several people are what I would call "snobby" when it comes to the doneness of meat. Like some people won't anything besides rare. Which is fine, but I think I am snobby about cheese. I will only eat legitimate cheese and not the cheese food that is American Cheese. But I don't think I could eat a rare burger, it is not a steak. But that is just my personal preference.

    If you soak the sanwich in a sauce make sure that sauce has heat and flavor other wise its just soggy bread. Learn from Mexicans they make tortas ahogadas.
