Heck yeah, its my boy Matt(aka KILLER). Mike I would love to hear about his transition from the beginning of his trading journey, to where he is right now. I believe it would be a great interview. He is doing some nice work.
Good clip. It would be great to see say a series of 10 or 15 few minute trade highlights of short trades and how fast they work when you're right vs the speed of a long trade when you're right. Very diff dynamic but quite educational to see it as it would stick seeing this pattern. Thanks.
Great video! Thanks Guys. I like how you drew pre market support & Resistance lines at whole numbers. I really want to know what you're looking for in the 5min chart. That you have alongside 1min and 4hr. Is it more involved than just giving direction?
great video again...very good point in that theres no wrong & right answer...just one question: what exactly is "the turn"? or is that a SMB secret sauce typ of pattern... (-; TIA
Well done guys. Great video. That $BABA looked like a nice setup too. Can you guys make a video about using sector ETF's like the $XLF to add edge in a trade and feeling the direction of a stock that's in play?
Off the wall question. I’m a little past 40 and have dabbled in trading over the years but I’ve been in IT for over 20 years not laid off I’m well compensated and employed now. Do you all get people like me - late career switchers? Trading kind of has always been what I wanted to do.
We do get people who are looking for a career change. We often hire interns because they can handle the learning curve and are in a position where they don't need to necessarily perform right away. You can apply at smbcap.com/careers and also check out SMB DNA which is what all our new hires go through. We'd love to see consistent results though
A lot of brokers can provide fairly good commissions. Some offer per share commission which might be better suited if trading smaller share size vs them charging you per buy or sell order. Something to look into.
If 61.50 is where the bidders got stacked up and then ask taking over the bidders its showcasing that sellers are aggressive and bids loose that level and then it drops and ask hold and then ask looses to hold and bids re-bid that’s a sign of strength as stock makes a wick there, then what is the sign of breakout? Is it seeing ask holding below 161.50 and volume, alot of orders on t&s, speed picks below 161.50 and if it is then until that you are late in entry prices and RR gets bad. What is the confirmation of breakout on tape
I'd like to know as well but I think when you see that aggressive rebid on the tape, it's a sign to get in on anticipation of the break. Now that you're in earlier on a manageable price with good RR, if it goes against you, you go flat or lose a little on the trade. Breakouts will mostly be indicated with high volume, tape speeding up and skipping cents quickly and a flurry of T&S in your direction. At that point if you aren't in the trade, you would mostly be looking to play a momentum trade on a low volume pullback and seeing where the bidders are holding up
lol dude is in his parents "spare bedroom" making moves and $$$ and I'm stuck at work trying to learn this.... so I can have my own "spare bedroom" with unused exercise equipment.

KILLER - maybe Matt’s new trading name. Good suggestion. I’m sure we could set that up
Gold!!!! Soooo awesome to see my exact trading style in action :)
I appreciate the great quality walk through of your trades, very helpful.
Of course Allen!
🧡💛💚💙 Mike's tape reading skills are really good

Thx for suggestion Kirby
Stacking odds in your favour to determine direction..😊
Great video, I use similar ideas to play the open, However I tend to try to find bottoms or tops and get burned too often.
Its a very relevant point on where to short on such moves, many trades have gone without me cause i had an ideal entry order ready which it never hit
You often don’t get your ideal entry

Thanks for suggestion Lu. Generally seeing a stock under or over performing the sector / other stocks in sector can give you some valuable info
@@smbcapital got it. Like a sponge I’m soaking it all in.

Mike, you gotta teach your boys the lingo, bidding vs, offering , hitting vs taking the offer
Matt always mixes that one up haha
would such an approach be practical for retail traders where we pay minimum commissions everytime we nimble in and out?

Haha we have high hopes for Matt! We can remember the days when our top traders have been there and now are 10 figure traders. Lots spare rooms now 😆
Use time stop at the opening knowing that if it doesn't break out in 30 secs at the open, this tactic isn't gonna work. Noted~
boring
