ESP/LTD are amazing guitars at any price range,good stuff. I gravitate towards Jackson's when i look at guitars,think it's a Nostalgia thing for me but i always pick up my esp's to go jam.

I had the 350 version of this back in the day. Even then, it was a pretty solid instrument. LTD never disappoints, quality brand.
That sounded incredible, I think the brown looked the best. It could be used for almost anything!
Been looking for my 3rd LTD for a bit now. You earned a new sub, good sir. Your reviews are great and the playing even better. I'm pretty much sold on the snow white version of this guitar. I know it's got the Fishman moderns instead of the EMGs in this one but I love those as well. Keep up the good work!

I just paid of an mh-1007et a couple months ago. Absolutely THE finest instrument I have ever played. You can literally feel the quality in your hands. I am 100% hooked on the Evertune bridge and will never buy another guitar without it. 🤘

I picked up an EC-1000 Evertune back in November. I guess because of my heroes I’ve always gravitated towards the Made in USA/MIJ stuff but this guitar honestly beat the Gibson Les Paul and Pro II Strat I owned beforehand, it’s just killer

Those cleans are incredible & the guitar is gorgeous! I wish ESP made solid black cases without the white stitching on the sides like they used to in the mid 2000's. I like my gear plain and simple.
Gotcha! I will say though, those older ones (pre white stitching) are far less sturdy than the newer ones. I actually just went and compared them!

I played one of these recently, the evertune thing is WILD. It was setup in fully locked down mode because my friend was recording rhythm tracks with it. No matter how hard I strummed the guitar it wouldn’t bend the pitch hahah sooooo fucking awesome and weird. He has them in all of his guitars but setup differently

I have the same guitar and absolutely love it. First thing I did was mask off the body and headstock and sand the gloss finish off of the neck. Really my only gripes with the guitar is the gloss finished neck and the lack of locking tuners. The neck took me 15 mins to sand to my liking and locking tuners are a simple enough add that I really can't complain. The stock grovers work fine, I'm just spoiled.
Wow! That takes guts to take sand paper to a finish like this, but I get it! Glad it worked out well for ya! I also agree that locking tuners would have been a nice touch. 👌

It would be cool if you'd do a video on how to set up the Evertune with new strings and changing the tuning. I'm still on the fence about getting a guitar with the Evertune, I love the Floyd because of the tuning.
I often consider it, but there's already so many Evertune videos out there, that I don't see being able to offer any information of additional value.
Been wanting an MH series for a long time to sit next to my EC 1000 but prices on guitars have gone up so much over the last couple of years,I'm holding off because I enjoy electricity and food and shit

Got mine last year but the other color (see thru black, but it seems almost bluish to me). It's fucking awesome.
And got it cheaper as it was a B-stock without anything wrong. It was probably returned by someone who didn't enjoy it.

Amazing guitar.
Got a lefty MH-1000ET (in see thru black) last year and its so much bang for the buck its crazy. Especially being a lefty, we dont always get these fancier models with hardware like that.
I was a bit surprised at how much weight the evertune adds as its a big chunk of metal, but its so worth it.
I'm also glad they decided to get rid of the abalone on the deluxe models, as it was a bit much and was starting to look a bit dated.
I've already decided my next guitar will be a 7string and will need an evertune. The lower you tune, the more sense it makes, right?
I agree with you about the lower tuning and the Evertune! Been thinking of switching over to 7's with Evertune's when the time is right!🎸

Great clean interlude! But Rob, you said that you don't like Horizons because of the shape of the top - and now you got another one! But it's still a Superstrat, so I like it! Great sounding guitar! I think, next ESP ltd guitar you need to check out is a signature model of Sylosis' Josh Middleton - it's also based on M-series!
Right on Dexx! While I don't recall directly saying that I "didn't like" the Horizon top, I'll admit that I've definitely said I prefer the M top!
This particular guitar though, feels perfect!🤘
@@RobArnoldWorld I'm just joking, bro, I know that you don't mind Horizon tops - your first custom guitar by ESP is 7-string Horizon, which you still have! I just prefer the flat tops too, it's way more comfortable to me!
So, one funny question! I periodically visit the streams of Marc Rizzo, where we talk about everything, including the musicians he interacted with when he was in bands signed to Roadrunner. Every time I wrote in the chat about you and Chimaira as a whole, he always expressed great love and respect to you, calling Chimaira one of his favorite bands! So, we remembered, that one of "Pass Out of Existence" songs called with his surname - "Rizzo"! How that were happened, how this song got this name?
@@dexxpredwarior9033 That's awesome! I also have GREAT respect for Marc both as a person and as a player! Always a fun guy to be around, and a complete inspiration as well. 🙌
Chimaira's Rizzo however, was named before we ever met Marc Rizzo. I wish the story were more exciting than this, but the dog's name at Third Stone Recording Studio, where we recorded Pass Out, was named Rizzo, and for whatever reason, Mark chose to title the song after the dog's name.
On a side note- I had to edit my comment about the MH and the arch tops because in an unforeseen turn of events, I actually DO own this guitar now! I didn't at the time of filming, but days later, it fell into my lap! That being said, I'm now proud to own it, and I think it's in an incredible guitar, and I meant every word I said about it in the video!🤘😎🎸

I am a floyd rose guy myself, but I always know how good to have a fixed bridge guitar when it you love to do the tuning experiments and love just to plug in and play various riffs in improvisation. And now you have another one of this guitars!
What's bad about this story? Dogs are noble animals, so that is very decently that Mark named the song after the dog. I think there was something special about this dog that he did it! This dog definitely deserves it. And this song is definitely one of my favorites on the album - the main riff is just the fucking bomb!

I love the fact that you aren't lost in the sauce when playing in standard tuning. Too many kiddos are so focused on drop tunings that they get lost in standard :)

I bought one of these. Its sitting in my lap as I type this. The evertune adds like 3 pounds, so worth it though. No neck dive. Also, surprisingly easy to set up.

Great one mate!!Just ordered a Kiesel with Evertune and Fishman pickups. Does the bends and vibrato feel natural like other guitars? Do you give extra power/strength in order to make them happen? Thanks a lot
Nice! To me, the vibrato is not quite as true as it is with a normal bridge. But the unwavering tuning consistency is often times an acceptable trade off! I think you'll be happy with your new guitar and the Evertune! If you're interested, I have two Evertune videos here on the channel, that will not only help you understand and maintain the Evertune, but can show you how to set it up to achieve maximum vibrato!

Stunning looking guitar!!! I can't decide which one to choose. This one or the ESP LTD M-1000 HT BLKFD Black Fade. Both look great, Fishman vs EMG's, Evertune vs standard hardtail....And then the M-1000HT is more expensive than the other one? Is it becouse of the Fishmans or the finish? The Evertune system is more complex than just a hardtail bridge....The looks, oh the looks of that black fade....man, what a time to be alive!
I agree! Tough choice! And I'm surprised to hear the HT is more expensive.
Personally I prefer EMG's all day long. And I think the Evertune is cool if you plan on staying in the same tuning for the majority of the time. But if you want to be able to change tunings quickly, go with the Hipshot!
@@RobArnoldWorld I have never played with active pups, but listening these - I think it is worth it. Actually I play in standard tuning all the time, so I think the Evertune is just the right for me. pLus I found a bargain for a brand new guitar with hardcase (the same guitar as on this video), so as much as I love the les paul shape I think I'll pull the trigger on this beauty.

ive got the white one, has some major paint flaws which i was compensated for but shocking that it left factory with the DRIPS on the neck, and these were produced prior to march 2020 so cant blame the demand/supply issues. I had a "new" MH-1000 NT and the paint was much better. Im a huge LTD fan so im hoping this isnt a trend as theyre really under rated. The Fishmans do run threw batteries at probably 5 times as fast as EMG's so people should consider that too.
That's a bummer and a shock to hear!

I've been eying the JM-ll for a couple months now. It is a sick guitar, for sure. I think I'd rather have the Evertune bridge with the EMG's than the Gotoh TOM with Fishman's at the same price point though.
@@PhazeOrderZero Its a very difficult choice to be honest at the prce point both guitars are at. Im used to TOM bridges, and the fact that the JM-II bridge sits even lower than standard makes me want it even more. Ive also never played on a Evertune before, so its difficult for me to compare, but Ive heard a lot of people say they dont like how the Evertune feels.

@Silent Degradation I can confirm that when it comes to bending, the Evertune isn't quite as true. But if you're not bending or doing any vibrato, it's amazing.

Nice! With the Evertune bridge, there are certain "zones". You want your guitar to live in zone 02. And the closer you are to zone 3, the more bending and vibrato you can achieve. I have two very in depth Evertune videos that I encourage you to study, and they'll help you wrap your head around how the bridge works, and how to maintain it!

It's certainly a thing! It's just not a common practice because of how involved the process is. But like swapping engines in a car, dudes swap bridges too!
I got my hands on the MH-1000ET Delux with the last round of stimmy checks that went out and that guitar is pure bliss. There’s something that is gained when you pay over $1200 on a guitar that cannot be replicated on a cheaper guitar. ESP all day. I’ll never play another guitar

Gorgeous looking guitar! Can you tell me if the fretboard is wider than an ec? I have small hands and the ec1000 is pretty spot on for me.
The horizons fretboard looks like an m series's in terms of width, which I struggled with.
Hmm unfortunately I'm not familiar with the EC's. By width, do you mean the thickness of the neck? Like the girth? If so, both the MH-1000's and the M-1000 are made with extra thin-U necks, where the EC's have thin-U necks. So the M and MH necks are actually smaller than the EC necks, which makes sense, since EC's are modeled after Les Pauls, which notoriously have big bulky necks.
But if you're asking about the actual width of the fretboard, unfortunately I don't have an answer for you, other than personally, I love the feeling of a thin, small, and fast neck, which I think all the M guitars have. 🎸

I think the ec's are like my tele and strat, where I found the m series to be more like a Jackson usa neck through's spacing.
That extra mm or two was just that little bit too much for my small hands to pull off what I can on my other guitars.
@@bengosling3838 Ahh gotcha... So I just compared specs on espguitars.com, and you're right! The M-1000's have a 43mm nut width vs. a 42mm on the EC.
So back to your original question- it appears the MH's also have a 42mm nut width so... you should be good!

Personally, I've never jammed on a KH3.
Does the evertune take away expression from your playing. Like the "give" and bend of the strings? Like when you dig in and they kind of pitch out a little or when you bend does the evertune mess with that?
Yes! I think the Evertune is PERFECT for straight riffing or playing, and definitely a godsend when perfect tuning is essential, like when recording.
But I wouldn't use it for soloing, because the bends aren't 100% true. Like a lot of players, I take pride in my vibrato, and I can tell it's just not the same on an Evertune. That being said, a guitar with an Evertune is just another handy tool to have around when needed for the appropriate job. 🎸

Rob does the gloss back on the neck drive you crazy? Schecter always layers the back of the necks with a matte finish that I love. This is my only concern, lmk
I definitely prefer unpainted or natural satin, but I still have many guitars with painted necks, and it's not an issue for me.
Back in the day, playing hot, sticky clubs, and sweating profusely, painted necks sometimes bothered me slightly, but... first world problems. Right?! 🎸

Great video as usual Rob. But the volume knob is still way too close to the picking hand. I do not understand why ESP cannot make guitars with 1 volume knob, out of the way. Cheers :)
I disagree! So many people have been saying this lately, and so I've been paying attention, and I see many other brands with the exact same knob placements. I'd like to believe it's what's considered standard.
Also forever, I had ESP move my volume knob to the tone position, and then just eliminate the tone knob, for the exact reason you've stated. But I stopped requesting this years ago, and have never once noticed the volume get in my way, even in the slightest.
Maybe give it another try and see for yourself!🤘

How high are the ever tunes compared to a hard tail? I do really like this guitar but I also seriously like the MH-1000 Hard tail (comes with same tuners I think, not sure about body or neck) and fishman fluence pickups.
Right now I have a ESP LTD EC-1000 in vintage matte black, it plays wonderfully and I do play on keeping it cause I love les pauls and this is like a metal guys dream les paul style guitar, except it stays in tune, isn't prone to neck breakage and has EMG 81 on bridge and 60 on neck. I had an RGA for while with a hardtail and got used to playing with those, then got this guitar and as much as I love it and still want to be able to play it I want another hardtail guitar so I don't have to float my hand or rest it on the edge of the bridge cause I find it harder to be percise with switch to whatever string I'm gonna pick next if its a far jump.
How hard from a tune-o-matic do you think it is height wise?
To me, it's very low profile. Right there with hard tails. Maybe juuuust slightly taller than a hipshot for example. And WAY sleeker and lower profile than a tune-o-matic in my opinion.

The features are amazing. But, I believe the volume knob is way too close to the pickup and to the right hand. I am thinking about buying this guitar and removing the volume knob and having the tone knob as volume.
I've had that same thing done to many of my guitars (removing the tone and moving the volume to the tone position) and its always worked out well!

@@kingpriapatius5832 ESP would usually do it for me, and they'd block it with a little black plug from the inside of the electronics cavity. But a sticker would work too. I guess it depends how clean you want it to look. But definitely keep in mind that you can block it from inside the electronics cavity if you want a cleaner look.

You can HEAR in the cleans how well set up it is. That's always tell-tale for me. A poorly set up guitar doesn't work for pristine cleans.
Also, you'll notice woth Evertune guitars your chords will intonate SO perfectly in the highest frets
