whoa, incredible. not sure if i will have the presence of mind to do this in an actual game, but I will start by studying my past endgames with this new concept I learned!!!
Sagar sir , well explained, it is one of the most critical concept in end games, numerous games have. Been saved or lost or won by virtue of this understanding. As a growing chess player , I request you to make an elaborated video on this topic.
Bro, I'm watching this video a year later and it finally makes a lot of sense. I think the yellow square is more of a transition square that corresponds with the critical squares (green and orange). Thanks!!
Thanks to you because I lost many times for this and I did not realise where I had mistaken But for this concept I am now aware of my mistakes .And again Thank you Sir
Sagar sir I recently started to read dvoretsky Endgame Manual and in that book this corresponding square concept is there but I didn't understand it easily but by watching this video I understand it immediately 😀 Sagar sir I have sent you email please reply
The corresponding squares concept was clear to me but not how he identified which squares correspond. I need to study a good way to identify which squares correspond. Thank you
Finding these tricks of corresponding squares in a live game took a lot of time than how can we improve to catch it up in a small amount of time?? (Like in trouble)
Think of it this way. Direct or distant opposition principles are universal. You can apply them to any position. Corresponding squares are unique to every possible configuration of king-and-pawns endgame. Like Sagar so wonderfully explains, you have to work backwards by first identifying the critical squares and then correlating the corresponding squares for the opponent king, hence the name.
One of the richest session in the entire ChessBase world. Thank you Sagar sir for explaining this.

This was a really rough blunder but it's hard to judge when he had only seconds for the Move.
Endgames are tricky.
Great Lesson Sagar Sir ! Need more like this🤟. Had Radjabov not been under time pressure, he would have not played that I think.

Great lesson. Thanks Sagar Shah for improving my end game understanding
Is it same like outflanking !!
What happens if there's no pawn on e3? Is there any way to hold for white?
Sagar sir, can't we play king to d3 in that position when Rajdabov played king to d2? Why or Why not?
Great video!
This is about Straight Opposition
Very talented kid who is thinking about PHD before joining kindergarden. Jokes apart, thank you for such an informative video.

Art.
Are corresponding squares somewhat similar to opposition or distant opposition?
no
Corresponding squares can help you to take opposition (diagonal vertical horizontal distant whatever)
Think of it this way. Direct or distant opposition principles are universal. You can apply them to any position. Corresponding squares are unique to every possible configuration of king-and-pawns endgame. Like Sagar so wonderfully explains, you have to work backwards by first identifying the critical squares and then correlating the corresponding squares for the opponent king, hence the name.
please tell how to see/spot this in an actual game ?
This was the most difficult to understand, brain freeze..
SAGAR OP

Very well explained 👍🏻
Chess is tough man......
Sagar Bhai, how are you selecting the players for the Sub battle against Samay???
Mathematics = Chess = Mathematics
This was simple
This is opposition
So Corresponding Squares are just Oppotision Advance Variation
Is it worth 1m views??
Simple, opposition.
opposition but with prediction and a little bit of colors
:)
Hurrah
Some players also call it The Opposition!
I don't think this is quite the same thing which is why they call it "corresponding squares."
