    It‘s funny to see that everybody is shocked how good this player actually is for his „not yet existing“ rating. The point is, players is China are always underrated because the mayority of the players there continuously play in China ONLY. Therefore, a large number of them is not known to the western community and is stronger than the eye can see. Great performance by this young man.👏🏼

The reason is that otherwise, it can be exploited to disturb your opponent during their time.

    • @Andre-pl2vg
      @Andre-pl2vg 2 місяці тому

      @taliesine.8343 don't think so. He was only trying to centralize the pieces. It's not like the pieces were placed wrongly disturbing the game per se, which would be a fault. Stopping the time for checking a rule, on the other hand, should have a penalty, I think, because it hinders the fairness of the game. You are correct. It's understandable. He didn't do anything illegal. That's why I used the word 'technicalities'. I was talking about his mangy behavior.

    • @Andre-pl2vg
      @Andre-pl2vg 2 місяці тому

      @Treemur yes, fair game. It's not illegal. But it should implicate a penalty, since it hinders the dynamic of the game. Most likely he was asking the arbiter if he would be informed when the rule would be aplied. Actually it's responsibility of the player to claimed it.

      his complaints were valid concerns, altho I wouldn't call arbiter over adjusting pieces in my time (unless blitz) its technically not allowed so he wasn't whining, most Gms would do that

    His opponent deserves to lose lol poor sportsmanship

    • @yaggi1
      @yaggi1 2 місяці тому

      What exactly? Stopping clock both times was justified.
      First time, he paused the clock because Pang Bo was adjusting his pieces during the opponent's time, which is not allowed by the rules. You adjust your pieces when it is your move. Reasonable stoppage and no sign of "poor sportsmanship".
      2) It was to ask who will be counting moves, since it is fast format of chess, where players do not do that unlike the classical games. In case 50 moves rule happens, when in the last 50 moves no pawn moves or captures took place, then it is a draw, just like a stalemate or 3 move repetition.
      As a player, you ideally want all rules to be abided by. Also, as a player you have absolutely each right both technically and sportsman wise to try to get the most use of every opportunity, which your opponent gives you.

      yes, that was strange, and then he called the arbiter, so maybe he thought it was a draw for not enough material to check mate. that of-course was a mistake. 2 knights is a draw, but bishop and knight is not a draw.

      because he wanted king vs bishop and knight. Remember that White was unrated and Black, even though he was losing, wasn't like "oh it's a very strong player", he was like "this noob got lucky, he probably won't know B+N mate"
