I'm watching, Nick. Dang that car is beautiful. So glad I held on to it all these years.
We are glad you did too!
If this is your car, you made a great choice in having “Nicks Garage” complete your Challenger! (I own both Fords and Mopars)✋🏻👍
Congrats!...very nice addition to all the great Mopar out there... keep her safe but have some fun too!
Nick should had put that 528 hemi and 4 speed set up in it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on your build. Nice choice going back to stock appearance, going to be a beautiful ride when finished.
I AM 47 AND NEVER SEEN THE VANISHING POINT MOVE TILL RECENTLY AND ITS ALL BECAUSE OF NICK, GREAT MOVIE AND NICK NEVER DISAPPOINTS US, CHEERS FROM ONTARIO CANADA
Awesome. Hope you liked it.
Ive still not seen it I dont believe and I’m 52
you may have missed the 70's era but so many of these cars still exist that if you're crazy enough, have some fun building one...they are actually pretty simple compared to today!
@@wokewokerman5280 I have a 73 in my shop
Vanishing point aswell as hot rod and crazy Larry dirty Mary, two lane black top,all great car movies
Vanishing point was the first car movie my dad made me watch when i was young....from that day on i knew i needed a V8 car !! 👌
Nick, I love that it`s not a full blown restoration, it`s not gonna be a trailer queen, he`s gonna drive it, it looks stunning already, it sounds great without the exaust, vintage air, nice touch.
Beautiful job Nick and crew! I met Nick and the guys at Motorama, they signed my glove box door for my 67 Camaro RS. I got a notification from my camera last night, someone broke into my garage and stole my welder, they dragged the welding cart down the side of my car as they left. By the time I got dressed they were gone. I have them on video but they are all wearing masks. I’m just glad they didn’t take Nicks autograph.😂🤣
Sorry to hear what happened. Someone knew you had a welder in your shop. All the best to you and family.
Nick brother you guys definitely hands down do some beautiful work on these beautiful cars second too none other than. The factory could have taken a few lessons from your crew’s performance.
Very cool to see and hear it run, beautiful car.
Robert always looks happy and enjoying all the work he contributes. 😊
Robert is the salt of the earth. ❤️
He does indeed.
Evenin Mr George an Mr Nick! Have a Great week!!
Thanks, you too, Pappy.
Home from night shift at A&E. Now to watch DR Nick. Steve tuned in from Adelaide Australia
Great to see you again, Steve.
Nick has a great, committed crew of mechanics. Fun to watch them working together on projects.
What a beautiful car. I love white cars. This car is iconic and a real beauty, The owner will enjoy this Challenger when the work is complete. Great video Nick.
Hey Nick and the team. Love what you’re doing to keep this iconic car alive ❤ Blessings and respect to you all. Btw, I just turned 75 and a retired ‘old school’ mechanic. I recalled seeing the movie when it first hit the big screen. WOW! Cheers from Hamilton, Ontario.
Much appreciated!
Cheers everyone, that’s one sweet ride
Cheers!
You have the best looking garage with all the bright colors and lighting, so used to seeing dimly lit caves. A good DIY tip for messing with steering, roll the front wheels over a glossy magazine, they are almost like grease, helps when adjusting the tie rods for a string alignment.
Thanks for the tip!
Man, you guys really got that put together quickly!
Quickly, but with a lot of hours. Many parts were made ready in advance of the return from the body shop, and many late nights have gone into the car.
What a beautiful, gorgeous idle that car has. The cam must be ground on about 73-degree lobe centers.
Thanks guys.. You've got a real Vanishing Point car there. Just beautiful, what a fun piece to work on! God Bless Be Safe.
I always call unrestored but cars brought to pristine driving condition “Facelifted” cars. That Challenger is one great car from any analysis both investment , enjoyment and just fun to drive! That owner really did well choosing that car.
I own a 70 Vanishing Point Challenger since 79. I have so much memorabilia. Thanks for the heads up on Vanishing Point Forever. I will purchase it. Right on to right on😛
That's great! Very cool.
Send me an Email . indyauto@videotron.ca
I remember when the Bridgehampton track was still active
Right on. There is a lot of history in that piece of land.
Great stuff as always, Nick. I love the detail on that clear reverse light and the way it lights up the name. What a great piece of design. 👌 I think you should go to NYC and go to that show at MOMA. You’d love it and it would be one more thing that creates the experience. Of course, if you took your car and parked it in the foyer …
I agree 100% I will try to attend the movie if I can.
Nick, Have you considered using a vacuum pump on the return hose?
All you need is a short section of hose on the back of the pump while you pull the power steering fluid though the steering box.
Once you have fluid there, you remove the extra hose and connect the return hose to the pump.
Done this for years and it works great. I have been working on the W-30.
Good point. thank you.
Hello Nick ,
What a super nice project Wow!!!
A lot of work and passion just amazing!!
Jacques
Looking good. That is the nicest “driver” I have ever seen
Nick Rocks
Beautiful partial restoration of my favourite model and year! 1970 Dodge Challenger🤤
May Barry Newman rest in eternal peace, as Kowalski does🙏
Fantastic and nostalgic insight into the film but also your true love of the old school Mopars we all love!
Great video Njikos👍👌
From a mad Mopar Performance man in Melbourne Australia 🦘
Dana "60" Glass. Great show! Can't wait for Dualing Kowalskis. Will make a great cover shot.
That was short and sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet Nick but all way coooooooooooooooooooool and hey that Dan has one sweet ride being made even sweeter by you Nick & your awesome team of Robert & Manny. Thanks George for another beaut video.
Right on! We had to keep the videos coming.
Thanks and for sure Nick.
I love these tribute cars from Vanashing Point, the directors son went on to direct Terminal Velocity with Charlie Sheen and he used a white 70 Challenger as the star car.
She’s a beautiful car!
Great job on that Challenger and it sounds really strong!
What a GORGEOUS car! Nick and your team have done a wonderful job!!
There is something about a white Mopar. I had a white 76 Fury 2 door. Was the first car I bought on my own. Love that car.
Nick and his Krew do Beautiful work and attention to detail that is a Top Notch Above !!!
WHAT AN AMAZING CAR.......Thanks Nick and all 👍.....An George i spell my name as STEVE SHOEMAKER also i flue lead solo with the BLUE ANGELS back in the 1970's...
Old F-4 2 Shoe🇺🇸
Wow! Talk about high horsepower machines. Thanks Steve.
I changed the power steering
fluid on my toyota pickup and I jacked up both front wheels..with the engine off I turned the wheel lock to lock to bleed the air out..worked great..then I started it and repeated the process
Sounds good. Good looking car. Has my old jealousy bone itching. Great work guys just keep on going.
Dont worry about the exhaust Nick, sounds awesome the way it is
Kowalski is sounding good!!!
Awesome show the car is really coming together good job Nick and crew keep them coming and see you Monday
Amazing video as usual thanks nick and the team
Glad you enjoyed it.
Very nice car ...great job ...thanks everyone.
Glad you like it!
George you really got these videos rocking and looking professional Thats a lot of hard work so thanks brother I really apricate all of this great content you give to us to enjoy.
I appreciate that!
Wow nick you guys amaze me that's so much work
Sounds really good nick
Petrocelli. Barry Newman done short series of this. He's a lawyer detective anyone watch it. Its something else to see..
Yes! He did great work in that series.
I watched that for the first time recently. I was surprised how good it was.
Great picture Nick of you with Kowalski at the bridge! Looks like a poster to be added to your list of items for purchase! I got my shirt , now a poster like that would be cool ! 👍
Another great job, Nick! The, engine sounds amazing!
hi Dr. Nick.
Hello there!
Personally, I think Nick needs to build a Phantasm car. Does anyone agree with me? Then he can have that and the vanishing point car in his personal collection.
Absolutely. And it would be cause for Halloween party at the garage!! It's all about those evil balls (in the movie-)
How awesome would that be?
if you shift that pressure plate on the gear box you get a special treat. the wheel will pull hard one direction.
You are correct.
Nice work!
What a good way to end the day! Working on cars the whole day and ending with Nick's gararge as i turn to sleep here in cold Norway!🥱😉👍
Enjoy! And goodnight.🌙
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Enjoyed the show guys. That's going to be one sweet ride! Nice job.
check that clutch fan it look free spinning.
It will be quite the white knights!!!
once you have yours and this one together
"Go ahead Robert". Nick motions to steer. Robert has an oh yeah, I need a steering wheel. Produces the steering wheel and does a Curly. I couldn't help think Curly, Larry, and Moe. Sorry LOL.
lol.
I love torqflights!!! 🎉
I would say that steering wheel will be replaced with the correct one later on.
Yes! Rim Blow in the future.
Well the guy came to the right place for his VP clone, I still remember what you said the guys reaction was when he was looking over yours at the dealership for registration,
and was just shocked, like the things like its brand new, brand new from 1970
and from that green 440 sitting in parts and pieces to that, yeah that's not easy, 90% of builders skip parts, never sort out the small stuff and the whole car suffers for it
as its those that drive you nuts, and I'm still sorting that out on a modern car
Good luck on your project.
@@nickpanaritis4122 thank you, its been a pain in the butt, I think I've NEARLY got it but.......... lol
Sure does sound great !!! Thars teally cool on it being a Vansishing Point Car !!! Late getting in on this due to the weather and the storm giving us the devil today . God Bless .
Right on! Stay warm and keep your powder dry, Sarge.
All those little bags of parts, this is why restos cost alot.
Here we go it is cold in Germany 😉
Great car, great video Nick! Happy new year to you and your family brother!
I'm in love!
That didn't sound like a typical high torque Chrysler starter motor. Maybe less back pressure with no mufflers?
hi nck and crew good ep
Nick Rules!
Nick here i was thinking the high light of your summer was getting to hang out with me at the BBQ hahahahahaha 😆 🤣 😂 😜 😅 😋 😆 🤣 😂 😜
Always a pleasure Darren.
It's not Kowalski #2 ! Vanishing point challengers are 4 speeds! What you got there is just another white 70 challenger
Dan, if you bring your car to the car show in san francisco golden gate park every October ,you will meet a mopar expert, as good as nick if not better ,Greek too! Has his own shop, he owns 3 hemi cars and will be building a 71 challenger 340 6pack this year
This is not a full restoration. But a nice driver.
If it doesn't have mufflers yet look into black widow mufflers or spin tech mufflers stainless steel and do the from the exhaust manifolds stainless steel tubbing because they flow better and they don't rust either
Great content thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it.
The A/C lines on top of the compressor look like they might not clear the hood when closed...
Hopefully, you guys already checked the clearances and took in consideration the engine twist when torquing.
That car belongs at my house.
I heard that baby fire up and I was hoping Nick was going to take the car out and beat on it......I mean put it through the paces!!!!
We would love to.. but there is a foot of snow outside.
Y'all make me want to dig into my corvette and replace the fuel tank (full of junk accumulated over 44 years).
I can’t see Nick in a Tesla any time soon
Nick. My Vanishing Point Forever book arrived in the mail yesterday. The project list is going to have to wait this weekend.
Isn’t is beautiful?
The owner might have to work some overtime to pay the bill. Lol
I gave up on the Prius. Sold it as is and bought a 2024 Elantra. It has more whistles and bells than I've ever seen before.
I still have to raise the final $2K for the down payment, so I'm selling all of my vintage musical equipment and guitars.
This car is awesome but I like the modern conveniences.
Congrats on the new wheels!
I like kowalski the 2nd!
Where's Leo? My hot spot is more like a Warm spot, like a grandmother. I'm proud of him, he has developed so well.
I like Nico too, I noticed that he is there. It's good to see him again.
Just pulling your leg, Susan. Leo is doing great things.
Great car and an amazing fast build, cudos to you Nick and your team! What ever happened to the Challenger with all the body panel work and creative metal re-fitting...did I miss something?
You mean the Charger. Coming soon.
I was looking for the last charger, I know I got busy for awhile but to miss a whole car ? Last seen in a body shop
@@nickpanaritis4122 Great, and yes, that was a slightly rotted charger that I bet you'll restore to better than new!...thanks for feeding us motor-heads!...really enjoy your show.
We need an update on that 64 chevy
We are looking to make time on it in the future.
Vanishing point I’ve seen both versions of the movie an I like the original one the second was okay but nothing like the first one .
The reverse light is on while in Park.
No it is not. Only in reverse it goes on. Had it checked a few times. All good.
Giasou Nikola,
Is this Kowalski 1st cousin keeping it in the family.
I keep thinking what you said last time I called you.
You need to find a genuine protege who is as passionate as you so they can continue your good work into the future & you sit back & pass on your knowledge & advise.
But where do you find such a person.
Summer time here so Ella to Australia to escape the snow.
Cheers
Louis Kats your number 1 Fan in Melbourne,Australia 👍 🇬🇷 🇨🇦 🇦🇺
Air Cleaner / Breather is not the correct model. Will be replaced with the Dual Snorkel.
I still kick myself when I think back 30 years when I bought my 72 Demon 340 project car for $750 and drove it almost 100 miles home. The guy I bought the Demon from offered to sell me his super straight 70 Challenger with a thrashed 440 for $150. My wife said not only no, but NO! Could have been the result of the new Suzuki GS750 E motorcycle I’d just bought.😅
The one that got away.
Should have put her on that new motorcycle, sent her packing, and bought the Challenger! LOL 😉😂
Did you stop in Plattsburgh? It’s my hometown. Hello from Texas.
If he did, it was only for gas. Nick likes to keep moving on a road trip. 😃
@@NicksGarage Don’t stop there, Champ might get you! LOL 😂 🤣😉
Hi Nick Happy New Year I have been a fan for a long a long time you are the best we have 1968 300 convertible if you would like i can send some pictures
We have a 1969 300 convertible in the gang. But the 68 is Special.
what movie was NICK referring to/is it a new movie/i saw VANISHING POINT two weeks ago/it had a dodge challenger in it-the car was WHITE like the one in NICKS shop/a GOOD movie/i may watch it again/thanks much
NICK YOU DO CHECK THE LINE PRESSURE AS YOU ARE DRIVING ALONG WITH THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THAT YOU JUST BUILT. OR DO YOU JUST TRUST TO LUCK . PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY .
If I may. At the carburetor linkage from the engine is the kickdown to the transmission. At the transmission end of that kickdown is the lever adjustment, That is the line pressure adjustment for the shift points on the transmission. How early or late the shift points come in will indicate line pressure too high or too low. It will become apparent when Nick road tests the car whether it needs to be dialed in. Only takes a few minutes.
first time viewer ... now subscribed , big fan of vanishing point movie and car - amazing recreation and what a great sounding engine - we are building a 67 Camaro R/S S/S , with a 454 engine and 4 speed trans - can you recommend a cam shaft for a great sound "like your 70 dodge challenger "
Fantastic! Welcome to the channel.

you failed to answer my question ? @@NicksGarage
Is that Nippon-Denso A/C Pump?
It is from Vintage Air.
wow great job team ... Is this car will be equiped with Good/Year tire like it came from the factory before it leave your shop Nick? just asking! 🥰👍
It will leave the shop with the same tires. Not a trailer-Queen.
I would like dis car but with a pink motor darlinks !!!
The customer is always right. 💜
