- This is the full-length tutorial on how to disassemble and reassemble the Splat-R-Ball SRB400 gearbox. Watch closely as I teach you how to take it apart and put it back together.
The Splat-R-Ball SRB400 gel blaster gearbox is based on an airsoft Version 3 V3 Gearbox. The Splat-R-Ball blaster is a modified WELLS G36c blaster. The external cosmetics are changed a little, but the gearbox and internals are almost exactly the same. Therefore, replacement parts or upgrades available for the WELLS G36c will also work with the SplatRball blaster.

Splatter Ball blaster is the most commonly available blaster sold in the US. It can be found at many Walmart stores, sporting goods, and online. It is sold by Daisy.
CAUTION! - Splatrball and other Gel Blasters should be treated as weapons and should not be used in public or areas where someone who is not part of the game can be hit. The police will charge you with assault with a weapon. There have been multiple instances in the news of people (mainly teens) being charged with crimes for shooting unsuspecting people in public. Hi. I looked at your website and the different gear boxes you recommended but I’m not sure which one would fit best. I would like on that fits the srb400-sub that is $50 or under that just replaces straight in without much modification. Which one would you recommend I buy? Thank you in advance

Hello! The little piece on my sector gear isn’t making it past the tappet. It gets stuck at the very end of that tappet, kinda like it isn’t strong enough. What do you recommend?
I got 1 yesterday and already ripped the gearbox apart to make A few changes to it. I had to reshim the gearbox because the stock thims made everything super tight so I just used the same method that I use for airsoft guns.. Aligned the gears perfectly to each other horizontally.. Looking for A 50/100k pack of bullets so if you know any that work let me know

So I finally tried it with splatter balls and it's now super weak. Do you have any ideas why? I added the lubricant like you recommended. It's shooting balls but not nearly as fast as our brand new gun.

@@mattanfang Hard to diagnose, but low power is most likely due to an air leak. Probably the nozzle is not full sealing
@engineerable Maybe I should add even more grease then? I was wondering if the tappet being 3d plastic affects the power.
My gun is fully charged and just randomly stopped working. It’s loading ammo but making a low sound when I try to shoot. It appears the plunger didn’t go back and is stuck, blocking the chamber. What should I do?

My spring is turned when I put it in and won’t let the gears turn the grey metal back wtf am I doing wrong
Do you know why I have multiple shims stacked on my gears? I have enough for 1 on each side for each gear but then I have a couple (4-6) left what should I do with them?
I have not encountered more than one shim on each side in these blasters. The purpose of the shims is to adjust the gears such that they don't rub on the gearbox, or each other. On the bevel gear it affects the engagement with the motor pinion. You can add more shims to the bevel gear to push it into the motor pinion.
@@engineerable lol I have 13 total shims 😂😂😂 which side should I put more shims on in terms of the bevel gear, and I noticed that as the motor spins, all of the gears will spin for a quick second then they stop and only the motor pinion spins and does not come into contact with the bevel gear and I also noticed the tappet stuck pushed off to the left
@@nickallen3781 Your motor pinion gear has made a groove in the bevel gear and is spinning freely in it. Need to replace gears.

i ran into an issue with the switch not creating electrical signals, there’s no corrosion and connection looks good in the wiring, i’m not sure what to do
Use a multimeter and trace the power. See where it's not getting power and address that issue
looking for a video that can help me cuz i disassembled my gun & put it back tg now the balls aren’t coming out correctly they fall directly on the ground. i thought it was the AR latch bc i took it out thinking it wasn’t important bc i didn’t know what it do so i put it back in there correctly & it’s still doing the same thing
It sounds like your nozzle is not sealing in the t-piece. If you didn't place the tappet in the notch on the nozzle, then the nozzle won't seal, and gels will be shot out at very low speed.

my tappet plate keeps resetting in the wrong spot and the gel balls are not loading correctly because of it do you know a fix?
The metal tappet may be bent. Take it apart and traighten it out.

High pitched noise, like gears grinding? Then your gears are probably stripped.
How can you buy the gearbox
My gun wont make any noise when I try to shoot the battery is fully charged any idea?
Use a voltmeter to check the battery and see if motor is getting power.

do you know why mine only shoots single fire but not automatic
The single fire lever is probably broken such that it can't switch to auto. Probably no way to fix it. You could just remove the lever that rides on the sector gear cam, and then it will always be auto.

Tappet plate is probably bent. You have to open the gearbox and straighten it.

Could be undergrown gel balls, grow them longer or used distilled water. Could also be a bent tappet plate causing feeding issues.
Why aren’t the balls not coming out the barrel. When I take the mag out they just fall to the floor. Plz help
Your tappet plate is probably bent or broken, so the nozzle is not pulling back far enough to allow the gel balls to enter the barrel. Or the gel balls are too big and aren't feeding properly.

I have the APS Silver Edge V3 gearbox, but I haven't installed it yet. It will require some modifications to work. You may want to wait on my video to ensure that you follow the right steps to make it work.

Usually something wrong with the tappet plate causing the nozzle to not retract far enough to allow the gel balls to feed.

Working on it, but tbh, it will be easier and better to replace the whole gearbox. Upgrading the gears requires a bit of modification
@@engineerable Can you link a metal gearbox that fits and works without modification? I want to upgrade the spring and o ring and already have an 11V battery but dont want to destroy the stick springs. Would it make sense just to upgrade the stock o ring or if i already crack the splattergun open should i just upgrade everything at the same time. Great website by the way
@@donathan5932 No metal gearbox will work without small modifications. The stock O-ring actually seems to hold pressure really well. I have some links on my site, but the gearboxes listed are still untested. I have the APS Silver Edge V3 gearbox, but haven't had a chance to install it yet.
@@engineerable they’re all kind of out of my price range so I don’t think I’ll be upgrading any time soon. Any upgrades I can do increase the power of gun other than battery that won’t destroy it? I want the bigger spring and o ring but I don’t wanna destroy the rings.
@@donathan5932 The only thing that would help increase FPS is if I could find a nozzle with internal o-rings.Thats the only place I've found where it loses air pressure. I have one on order to test. Bigger spring or battery will destroy gears.
