@@ThreeFirstNames hello, I am setting up an Xbox series X for myself which will have game pass, and the series s for my son. Ok. So let’s say you set up game share so that you can share your live and game pass access. The games you own don’t have to be shared. Just make sure to not download or delete any games you don’t want him to play. see "sharing" doesnt help if you have 2 consoles, let me explain, the wife and i both play on each other consoles often because we have one out in living room and one in the bedroom, so if i set my home xbox one in bedroom, it doesn't really help, if my wife comes into living room and its not my home xbox, then she cant play game pass because my home isn't on the one in living room, Xbox needs to figure out another way to share, because just setting your xbox to your "home xbox" doesn't really help in the big picture.
Seems to me that you should set your home Xbox to whichever console she uses the most. (Let’s say that’s the living room.) So when you go into the bedroom you would just sign into your account and in the living room that now has gameshare she can sign into her own account. hey my question is that can me and any of my friends play at the same time like maybe he plays battlefront and i play sea of thieves or the same game together
Maybe a bit dated now. However my daughter used to be able to play and download, on her own account without me logged in, game pass games. We now have game share setup with my Xbox and one in the bedroom. Tho the bedroom one can see and download game pass games and access game pass app. She now cannot access or play the original console Game pass games, without me being logged in first to load the game then her logged in the game itself This means if I need to access the other Xbox console it will kick her off. Does game share stop a second account using game pass on the same console?

Just log into the Microsoft Store with the account that has Game Pass Ultimate, and then log into the Xbox App with whichever other account you use to play. You don’t need to log out of either account. My sister has Ultimate just for her Xbox, so this is how I access every PC game.

Hmm. Try this video and see if it helps

Thanks had recently gotten new Xbox for Christmas but game pass and live were on someone else acc
glad it helped. :)
So the kids Xbox has all my license and more and my main Xbox which is mines won’t work offline until I set it as my home? But if I set it as home then they can’t play at all lol.. so confusing and why is the 2nd console that’s not the main console have to be labeled as home? Ass backwards Microsoft smh .. the adult main account should be the home
What are they supposed to do on their end
how do you do this on pc
Will this work with multiple accounts on one Xbox? Because I did everything on this and it’s not working
Yes it should. So let’s say you own xbox live, if you make your account the “home Xbox” and then sign out and then sign into the account that wants to play now they should also have xbox live and any digital games on that console. The other option would be to sign into your account, then just sign into any other account that wants to play.. issue there is if you’re somewhere else and want to use your account it will kick out the other console.
@@ThreeFirstNames thank you so much!
No prob :)
2 min of nothing just get to the point
can a pc gamepass share with pc
Thanks man, I recently got an Xbox series X and gave my Xbox one x to my little brother and now we can both play games separately using my game pass
awesome! glad i could help.
This is what I’m doing. Do you set your brothers as home console then so it shares with him?
@@sinbad656 yes
Is it possible to share and play the same game @the same time together? For example can 2 Xbox in the same household play halo multi-player together?
@@gitsum1871 I don't think so
If I get game pass ultimate on my pc will game pass transfer to my Xbox?
From what others have explained yes. I do not have personal experience with this
ummmm ppl cant game share with me a error or something just pops up saying try again later i have been trying it again later for 2 years
Oh no. Did you try the steps in the video?
Did wat he said, nothing???
ultimate on the guest account and games installed work on console tested with ufc 4 , i hope it works on PC... so I can play from xbox and pc 2 players/accounts.
I have game pass on pc, how to I share with another account on the same pc?
I’m not extremely familiar with the pc option on Microsoft’s games. My understanding is you can’t do this yet.
I made my friends xbox my home xbox, do I have to wait for it to work?
how to share pc gamepass me and my friends did that family thing on microsoft and it doesnt work pls help
I set this up for my son and I. He can download games but I can't get his profile to do Cloud Gaming. I can do so on my Xbox. Can I set this up on his Xbox?
Have you put your account as the home xbox on his console?
@@ThreeFirstNames I have. He can sign in with profile and download games, just not use cloud gaming.
Why can you guys never just get to the damn point??
Cuz we’re the ones taking our time to teach you something?
Didn't explain anything on how to share with a family member. All you showed was how to get the gamepass. Ugh
If you set the home Xbox by following the steps in the video you will be sharing with your family member.
@@ThreeFirstNames I did I share the gamepass and it shows however not the ultimate for the wife so when she wants to play a new game from the cloud she can't only ultimate users can
why can't i share game pass games across home pc and laptop?
Xbox on pc is not something I’m knowledgeable on sorry
Could I have an account with gamepass on Xbox one and then another account with gamepass on series x
If it’s the same account yes. If you’re game sharing then also yes and they can be different gamer tags.
@@ThreeFirstNames just figured out how to do it I need gamepass on my account the account on the series x and then my accounts home Xbox with be the Xbox one then the two other accounts can use my subscription
Brilliant, I was looking for a while to see how to do thus as I thought surely I can use another account on the same xbox and use ultimate. Thank you so much

How to fix gamepass not sharing with another account
Another account on the same Xbox or a different console?
@@ThreeFirstNames same xbox
Oh. So you have two options:
1) first sign into the gamertag that owns games pass, then switch accounts to play the game you want. Both accounts would be signed in at same time
2) set the account that owns game pass as the home Xbox, from then on you only need to sign in the account that wants to play.
But where’s the button to do the sharing tho?
No specific button but selecting the home Xbox option.
Any idea why won't let me select the option to make it my home?
You can game share on PC in a way. I did it with my son. I have the subscription and download the games he wants on his gaming laptop, then he logs into his account and is able to play. I think now he just stays logged into my store for that reason. But I also have a game pass ultimate that I pay for and my 2 daughters use it on their Xbox. It’s only $25 but Xbox really needs to bring the family bundle back.
Omg
Hi! Does this still work now? My boyfriend got an Xbox X with ultimate game pass and I just bought my own Xbox X console which is arriving tomorrow. Can I use his game pass ultimate on my account on my own console? We will have both our accounts on both consoles. It will be very frustrating if we have to pay for 2 game pass ultimate subscriptions! Thanks 😄
im from the future, yeah until this day's xbox game pass subcription on pc didn't share with another pc
Someone help I’m trynna share my Xbox live and gold with my girl so do I make my home xb on her console or do I make her home xb on mine cause I have the games and xb live
I’ve got a pc and Xbox with my game pass ultimate. I wanna play a game in my man cave(pc) and if my family wants to play the same game in the living room(Xbox) can they? Could we even play the same game together
Tell me something... if i have 2 Xbox X in my house for 2 kids can i use 1 game pass ultimate on both console??
Yes
Yea. Save yourself some $$$ :)
@@ThreeFirstNames thanks
I have an issue, since I got an xbox series x its started buying it on there instead of the xbox one so now I can't play with my brother from the xbox one to the series x. How do I start buying it on the xbox one again?
Do you mean it’s no longer buying the Xbox one version of the game?
Smart delivery should allow for the game to be downloaded in the Xbox one version of the game on his console.
If not maybe when you want to share sign in your account in the Xbox one and then download the x1 version and then he can sign back in
@@ThreeFirstNames basically it seems like gamepass has been removed from my xbox one apart from my account. The other accounts that had it before don't anymore.
Hmm double check that your subscription is still active. Maybe an old card or something on file.
@@ThreeFirstNames I checked and it said it was still active so I decided to end it and get it again and now it's working. But I'm not sure if it will do it again in a month. But thanks.
Hopefully it doesn’t. But this is a good tip for others to try.
So when ever I go to subscriptions gamepass ultimate doesn’t show up although I have it
Are you being shared to? Sometimes when you go there it takes a moment to refresh.
@@ThreeFirstNames yeah I got it thanks so much for your help
awesome :)
the fact that it doesnt share to pc is shite
Apparently there is a way to do it now but as I’m not into pc gaming I don’t really know the proper steps.
I have a Xbox Series X and i bought a digitally paid game and want to game share it to my friend on PC, any help/awnsers on that?
My wife and I have been sharing Xbox Live for years. She hasn't played much this year but I have. I currently have GamePass Ultimate. I want to get clarification on a couple things:
1. We can continue to share all of my purchased games AND the GamePass games ...correct?
2. I can play games (Starfield for instance) from the Cloud but it says she has to purchase GamePass Ultimate to play Cloud games. Why is this not the same as sharing a free or owned game?
3. If it is possible to share GamePass Ultimate, then how do we get that set up?
I know this is a lot but you seem to have a good understanding of all of this. Thanks in advance.
I'm confused. My oldest has game pass. I want to share that with my youngest son, so I make the Xbox on my oldest the home one?
hey my question is that can me and any of my friends play at the same time like maybe he plays battlefront and i play sea of thieves or the same game together
Maybe a bit dated now. However my daughter used to be able to play and download, on her own account without me logged in, game pass games. We now have game share setup with my Xbox and one in the bedroom. Tho the bedroom one can see and download game pass games and access game pass app. She now cannot access or play the original console Game pass games, without me being logged in first to load the game then her logged in the game itself
This means if I need to access the other Xbox console it will kick her off. Does game share stop a second account using game pass on the same console?
FYI. I haven't tried it yet. About to so I'll be back shortly with a confirmation but I heard you can sign into your account on yours and your friend/families pc from the Microsoft store app and then on the Xbox app sign into your respective accounts and that'll share your gamepass.
For pc options I believe you have it il right. :) let us know
Hi I own a Xbox series x console In my room but me and my family are considering buying a Xbox series s for the living room as like a family console , I already own game pass ultimate for my series x so if I log into the series s with my same account and profile will I get to share the benefits with both consoles , please could someone help as I am not very good at these things lol thanks for reading
yeah I went to manage subscription and there is no option to click share anything
Where's the share button
? Share button. That’s a PS thing.
How do i share a game with another account on the same console? It tells me I need to be signed in to my account for the other account to play the game. The other player can just switch profiles to my account to play other games i dont want to share.
what about UNshare🤔
I have videos for that 😜. Like here: ua-cam.com/video/na5UpYh7htw/v-deo.html
if i sign up for ultimate will all accounts on my console have access to ultimate game pass or is it just for that one account?
Any update on doing it for PC?
Just log into the Microsoft Store with the account that has Game Pass Ultimate, and then log into the Xbox App with whichever other account you use to play. You don’t need to log out of either account.
My sister has Ultimate just for her Xbox, so this is how I access every PC game.
Thanks for helping out :)
Can I game pass share if only 1 person have game pass
Not sure I follow the question. If you have game pass and want to share with one other person/console then yes you can do that. Any accounts on yours or the shared console does get access to game pass and games.
