@@Fireweed108 I've been following him also. He hasn't really been showing critical trail points. I'm sure it's crazy out there and hard to pull out a camera.
Greetings from a member of PCT Class of 21 😊 You guys are awesome, those conditions are so different from what we experienced. I get very miserable when cold and wet but you handle it so well and it all looks so stunning. The PCT was the best thing I have ever done and thrilled for you all
When the storms clear... it's the best place you can find. Have done a few snow camping trips that turnout nice when the storms clear... but never out like you guys did... someday I will hike that section of the PCT... would like to go all the way to Reds Meadow...
You are amazing. Thank you for the honest commentary-“questioning your life”and then pushing through You are right to be proud of yourself and your trail family
Wonderful film! Incredibly well done! Very very glad you all made it out safely. Taking the time to reason, and think things through -- instead of making snap gut decisions, made all the difference. Great skills to pass on to others. I hope this film goes viral because many people could benefit from watching this and gain valuable knowledge. Plus it was very beautiful scenery and fun to watch. I agree with your "most bad ass thing" comment -- total bad ass. I'm sure your wife and family are happy to have you safely out of the High Sierra. Looking forward to watching more of your adventures North. Happy trails!
Hall you are really putting yourself out there. Thank you for sharing your story. It is so amazing to see the Sierra in such an epic way. I know it goes without saying that you should be safe. Just want you to know that I (and probably a ton of other folks) am thinking about you. Enjoy the hike! Be safe! Sending love and positive vibes!
While I worry about those of you taking on the Sierra, I really do love seeing the footage of all that beautiful snow up there. Stay safe 😊 Enjoyed watching 👀 😊
The decisions made on this very intensive and possibly a life threatening situation are what you learn to lean on as you meat challenges to come. Making the decisions as a team and going through with them is what makes you the man of tomorrow. It was dangerous but the team prevailed. I am so happy you have the important video that you can look back on when life demands decisions, that have knowledge and confidence go on and strive in life with your wife by your side. I hope you realize just how fortunate you are to have the support of family and friends. Soak in every second, it will mold your future. Hike on and be safe.
Congratulations making it out safe and sound. When you guys were doing Forester pass, was scared for you all. I'll be watching. OneGear, PCT 2016, AT 2019✌️💚
When I was a young boy, my uncle lived and worked at Mt. Whitney State Fish Hatchery a few miles north of Independence on the south (??) fork of Oak Creek on the road up to the trail head for Baxter Pass. I'd go visit him for prolonged periods. Waking up in my bedroom, the first thing I'd see is Kearsarge Peak ... and it was my dream that someday I'd walk up there. That was nearly 50 years ago, and that dream never became a reality. I really appreciate you bringing us along. Wherever your trail leads, please -- Be safe; keep at it! ***** ***** By the way, whatever became of the party who called SAR?
Thank you. the people who contacted SAR were given instructions to get into the nearest ranger station where they could take shelter and access food supplies.
8 year JMT anniversary? Mine is 23 years in August. Just like yours mine was totally snow free. I'll probably never be on that trail in winter. Good idea to wait a day on Forester. I wouldn't want to be the first one across - that was you!
These memories will follow you your entire life, so daily live in it and understand why it is so worth all the suffering and pain! Understand that without risk, without pain and without suffering there is nothing in life. Jesus so understood that suffering was so worth it so we all could live in eternity! G
Thank you so much for the video. You guys are the first to actually show the conditions from crabtree to keasarge pass.
Travelinbeat and his group are also in the same area.

Amazing patience and resilience, one of the best videos going over Forester that I have seen.
Well documented, informative to see the highs, lows and challenges. Great views and extreme weather. Good to see you waited out weather and kept safe.
God Bless!
