They would be a huge improvement. I’m installing a set of General Altimax Arctic tires this weekend to replace the factory Michelin Energy Savers.

You bet - I had my snow tires in the garage waiting and wanted to see just how bad the all-seasons would be! Glad we didn't drive on these last Winter.
