Joseph Smith was a genius. He got people to believe that contending for the truth "takes the spirit away" to prevent them from ever questioning LDS doctrine. Joseph was a con, but you gotta admit, he was brilliant, lol. Now that I am a bible-believing Christian, I understand the danger of that teaching - Jude 1:3,"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" . Of course, telling people they can't trust the bible is the most dangerous thing that Joseph taught, but to even go as far as to say that contending "takes the spirit away" is a way of keeping them trapped in there.
and this is why when talking with them I will answer their objections before they have a chance to bring them up. My purpose is to lovingly remove the blinders that the enemy has put over their eyes. 2 Cor. 4:4.
The Apostle John prophesied and said... " And I saw an angel flying in the midst of Heaven BRINGING THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL TO PREACH TO THE INHABITANTS OF THE EARTH before the great and terrible day of the coming of the Lord." Perhaps you can explain to me WHY God Almighty would find it necessary to send an Angel to bring the Everlasting Gospel to preach to the inhabitants of the earth IF the Bible ALREADY contains the Everlasting Gospel. Clearly the Bible doesn't contain the Everlasting Gospel... And you say Moroni was a fallen angel? How and why do you draw that conclusion? And if I were to concede to your subjective opinion and evidence and concede Moroni a fallen angel? Then you would have to by default!!!??? Have to agree the whole of Christianity is STILL waiting for the angel prophesied of, by John! To yet be fulfilled! Unless of course John's prophecy was a false prophecy. Yes!!!??? The whole of Christianity declares the Bible is All God ever Intended for us to have. The Bible is the complete and inerrant Word of God. The whole of so called Christianity fails and falls on this false satanic Doctrine. The angel flying in the midst of Heaven BRINGING THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL TO PREACH was indeed the angel Moroni who delivered that ancient scriptural record we have today as the Book of Mormon translated by the prophet Joseph Smith and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints IS the Kingdom of God here on earth today. God Bless 😊😊😊
Thank you for the new work you are starting in UT! I once was just like that man, using Joseph Smith’s blurred lenses to attempt to understand the Bible. The LDS indoctrination is very deep. But God’s power and grace to reach His people, incomparable.
Brothers, please slow down and show love. Three of you are talking to one man who has been trained to believe that Christians are lost. Give him time to let him answer and work through the his thoughts. Many Mormons have never been presented with these ideas. Remember that love is the greatest witness of Jesus Christ and without it we have nothing. “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” I Corinthians 13:13 NKJV
Please keep these encouraging outreach videos coming. They are an outreach to more than just the gentleman in the video to whom the truth is being shared. So encouraging also in equipping me to lovingly share truth with LDS neighbours. God bless.
Galatians 1:9 (KJV) As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
As a lifetime LDS as a Mormon I used to work as a personal badge of excellence to the heads of the church and “then” God would hopefully accept me as I tried to prove physically, mentally & morally up to “his” program here on earth. Mormons will never accept “his yoke is easy & his burden is light.” Then comes the masonry element! Argh!!!! I just want to love Jesus, and serve humanity in love. Not handshakes and words to speak in a cultish ceremony to get to Jesus. This man has a testimony of goodness and warm feelings of family, and a life style that seems set apart from the world which makes him believe that the entire enchilada is truth. It’s all based on feelings upon personal excellence within this life and nothing more.
Yes, it can be difficult to reference Bible verses on the spot, even for Mormons! Apologia Utah will be exhausted trying to convert Mormons in the heartland and headquarters of Mormons!
Yeah, they got their work cut out for them! lol (most christian churches just don't have any more relevant info other than how they interpret the bible) While the LDS faith have living prophets, additional scriptures, temples, the pre-mortal life knowledge, they know the nature of God (the father). So again, it'd be a "tough sell"
You can witness to them too!!! Learn about GRACE so that you can share what it means with them. Ask your mormon friends to define all the terms that they use and go off of that 🙏 they used the same terms we do but have different meanings. Grace is defined different in mormonism and so is, sin, eternal life, Heaven and Hell, etc so ask them to define EVERYTHING. Most importantly, pray for The Holy Spirit to guide you 🙌❤️
" how do you know there is no new revelation"?... That's when you say we have the whole Bible including Revelation, which contains things that haven't happened yet... That is all the new revelation you need right at our fingertips
It’s sad to see this guy not understand what the savior taught. Love the way members of the church are confident and other Christian’s sound desperate.
The "Lineage" is that Jesus and God (the father) came down to help "clarify" what had been missing for almost 2k years. Then the apostles Peter, James and John - restored the authority to run Jesus church (while he was gone) as in days of old! Isiah (old testament) even prophesized of this day! So lots of lineage! IF that isnt Christianity, then I don't know what is!
This has always been a stumbling block for the LDS faith, they reject the Trinity and believe in a more simplistic manner of "many Gods" because they always go back to when Jesus was baptized, how a voice spoke from heaven and the Holy Spirit descended "like a dove" or however it is phrased. They take this completely out of context, not understanding contextual reading of the Scriptures. For most LDS folk, they always fall back to their "testimony" and go back to everything they were taught about their "feelings" and I have seen many LDS members who never felt that "feeling" they are told they are supposed to get, but to keep praying more until they do get that feeling. This is very deceptive and sad to see. I would likely ask, Why do we need to pray about something if it is true or not, when God has already told us what is true and what is not? I would ask them what tests they use to determine if a prophet is false or not? How do they test the spirits, etc. Most or nearly all of them will be unable to give you a Biblical answer, and thus, I like to point to Deut 13 and 18. Ultimately, all we can do is provide information, show them God's word, for His word can never return void, and pray for them, that the Lord will be merciful and open their eyes to the truth. It is a very hard thing for many LDS members, especially those in leadership roles, to leave the LDS faith, because it can cause their marriage to end, lose friends, and possibly even their job. 2 Corinthians 11:4 “For if he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit, which you have not received, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him.” What this means is Paul is warning us about following a false doctrine, a false Christ, and that he believed some would be deceived because they do not test those teachings against what has already been given to them by Jesus and the apostles. I might even go so far as to mention to them, that as a born against Christian, we have the surety of our salvation that they would call the "2nd anointing", because Jesus tells us we are his, when we trust in his finished works at the cross, for it is by Grace through faith alone that we are saved, and not by any works. Point out that we are not born of God, but made sons and daughters by "adoption" and point out those passages to them. At the end of the day, providing questions that they will hopefully think about, such as asking them if they 100% know where they would go if they were to die this very day, or what assurances does the LDS faith give them that they will obtain the Celestial kingdom and obtain Exaltation? Show them it is by their own works, doing ordinances and so on, they must do according to their faith, which is counter to what Jesus told us.
The book of Revelation says anyone adding or subtracting from that revelation would be cursed . Joseph Smith added to that revelation. End of story. We must also use Deutronomy 13 and 18 as the binary test for a prophet. Smith fails both in huge spades.
This is one of the most misunderstood passages in the Bible. We are not to add or subtract from John's revelation. He saw what he saw, and no one can add or subtract from that vision. The book of Revelation was not the last book written in the Bible, just placed as the last book, so that interpretation is nonsense.
Books after "Revelations" were also added (chronologically speaking of course). John was talking about the book of revelations! (not the bible, nor any additional writings of prophets in the world at the time, writing about Christ)! Most evangelicals, misunderstand that passage! IF there are "false" prophets, then there "logically speaking" would be "true prophets"! (So if that is the case, where are they)?
My nephew was a christian for many years and now has become a mormon 😢 i can't believe that he switched to a cult instead Is Mormon and Latter Day Saints the same religion or are they separate religions ?
Not at all. A different God, different Christ, and different gospel. Go to CARM > World Religions > Mormonism Also, Got Questions Many other great ministries reaching out to the Mormons.
Mormons, Latter-day Saints (LDS) and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are all the same thing, just different names for the same group headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. It needs to be said they have a different god, a different Jesus, a different gospel, and a different message than the Bible and Christians. Suffice it to say Christians are not Mormon and Mormons are not Christian.
*Mormons claim their church is the one true church* and all Christians Churches are wrong and an abomination. Mormons claim everyone needs to join their church, pay them 10% of your total income, get a Temple Recommend from a Mormon bishop so you may participate in a Temple Endowment Rituals, perform baptism of the dead rituals, which includes, giving Masonic type handshakes, saying secret passwords, wearing underwear with sewn in Masonic symbols, and do much more. All so you possibly, maybe, perhaps, have eternal life becoming a Mormon polygamist exalted man god or his goddess wife. Where as the Bible and Christian message is to have forgiveness of sin and God’s gift of eternal life in the presence of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, is through faith and trust in Jesus Christ only and not through any church. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23) “For the wages of sin is death; but THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST our Lord” (Romans 6:23) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is *the gift of God:* Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2: 8-9) Jesus said, “…know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)
I am so sorry to hear your nephew became a Mormon. I was an adult convert and an active member for 3 years. And yes, I agree with the above comment ^^. LDS, Mormons and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are all the same thing. The only difference is the Fundamental LDS are the polygamist Mormons. There were 2 Manifestos released that stated Polygamy was no longer necessary. The Mormons that chose to continue being polygamist broke off and became the Fundamentals LDS.
Guys just preach acts 2:38 repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost!!! Glory to God it is for you and your children and all nations everyone has to obey this scripture!!!!!
These guys are so conflated in their proselytizing, always trying to corner someone, when they have absolutely no clue about the Doctrine of Christ. I believe these guys are the ones teaching another gospel, teaching that you don't need tp be baptized to be saved in the Kingdom of God.
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! (Paul’s Letter to Galatians)
That's the thing... Moroni delivered the Everlasting Gospel which was and IS the very same Gospel preached. And if it wasn't or isn't the angel Moroni who delivered that Everlasting Gospel? Then you are ALL still waiting for that angel John PROPHESIED of are you not. Perhaps you can explain to me WHY God Almighty would find it necessary to send an Angel to bring the Everlasting Gospel IF the Everlasting Gospel is ALREADY contained in the Bible. Clearly the Bible is not all God intended for us to have. Either that OR John made a false prophecy? And therefore would mean John is was a false prophet?
Here’s one for you: Joseph Smith said it is missing many plain and precious parts. LDS says there can be translation errors, But We can look at the translations because now we have all the languages and the ability to compare the translations. With the LDS church does not say that many things are completely A lie in the KJV BIBLE. Every contradiction that they have when you keep bringing up text, you need to point out, notate that and go back figure out the proper translation or figure out if God was lying.
Can you imagine if someone walked up to you and started using the quotes and faults of Calvin or Luther to prove your faith is based on a faulty human?
The thing is Christians don’t regard Calvin or Luther as prophets of God. We don’t care if they’re right or wrong-our faith rests upon Christ and His word
Of course there are prophets today! The Bible says your young men will have visions and your old men will have dreams. These are prophetic. God picks people randomly, not in a line like Mormons choose them.
@inhocsignovinces1081 there are seven versions?? I was an active member for 3 years, and I was not aware there was more than one version until after I left the Mormons! The only version I knew was the one that the hymn "Joseph Smith's First Prayer" talked about. Wow, holy, I had no idea there were that many versions!
Up until the 20th minute, I was hoping that you would share how we can know God and not just who God is. The works righteous Mormon doctrine is opposed to the historic Christian doctrine of justification by faith alone (Romans 3:19-28). It is ALL the work of Christ IMPUTED to us.
Elohim El and Eloha are ways or saying God. Elohim is a plural word of a singular component. It is a mix of single and plural in a method not done in proper grammar as a standard. If it was multiple Gods it would be Els. Obviously you need to read all this in the proper language and understand the grammar rules to fully understand. It is Elohim because (as mentioned elsewhere in the Torah) God is one. But as demonstrated when the Holy Spirit descended like a dove, Jesus in the river, and the Father in heaven God was in three locations and beings at once while being one God. Remember when Jesus said “I AM” and they picked up stones to kill him for claiming to be God? The way it was said to Abraham is grammatically not normal because God is saying he is in all tenses -past, present, future- at all times. The grammar is the same thing here. Bring up Elohim to an educated Jew who understands the language and they just say it’s a mystery we can’t understand, push for more and they get mad and end conversation because it points to the trinity. But in no way shape or form does it point to multiple Gods, and is not a name like Bob or Fred. Mormons/ LDS/ about to change the accepted name again (I was LDS IN 1970s & 1980s) They accept what J Smith said as an interpretation that it is God the father’s name. Go figure- he got all kinds of interpretations and translations wrong many times. Aka salamander, book of Abraham…
Jesus isn't Three person , I will always work I'm talking about this baptized Jesus the voice having came down heaven and said beholders this is my son . So you saying the when Jesus' come out of the water . He throw his voice into heaven. That Christ is not three in one. That scripture in Matthew proves that.
So, for 10 % of my income and 10 % of my net worth, I can become a Mormon god and get my own planet. I also get to wear magic underwear and vote for Mitt Romney?
Also no more coffee, you can’t do anything on Sundays, you have to get “called” to whatever they want you to do for basically free community service, they make you meet with the bishop at the end of the year on a 1 on 1 meeting to prove you’ve been paying tithing, you have to go to their temples and do community service and baptize dead people, they basically have complete control of your life. All you have to do is turn away from the Word of God and all that could be yours!

The Bible teaches many things! Baptism necessary: (Mark 16:16, John 3:3-5, 1 Corinthians 15:29), Apostles/Prophets in his church: (1 Corinthians 12:28, Ephesians 2:19-20, 4:5, 4:11-14, Amos 3:7), the Apostasy: (Amos 8:11-12, 2 Thessalonians 2:3, Isaiah 24:5), the restoration: (Acts 3:20-21, Ephesians 1:10), the book of Mormon: (Ezekiel 37:16-20, Isaiah 29:11-14), need for temples: (1 Corinthians 15:29, Matthew 16:19), spirit world: (John 5:25 & 28-28). 3 kingdoms/heavens: (2 Corinthians 12:2, 1 Corinthians 15:40-42) We are God's children and can become as he is (Romans 8:16-17), we are saved by grace through faith, and faith is an action word and includes works, not just belief: (Matthew 7:21, James 2:14-26, Mark 16:16)
Baptism necessary for what? Restoration of what? What about the spirit world? "Faith is an action word and includes works not just beliefs"? Thats not in thr Bible you just made it up.
These people claim that LDS members are not Christians, but I disagree with them. They argue that we believe in a different Christ as taught in the Bible. It is clear, however, that they believe in salvation by grace alone, while LDS believe in salvation by a combination of grace and works. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments, or be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect, or repentance that look like tons of works, and so on. Maybe they did not believe in Jesus Christ after all. And they judged the LDS will go to hell because of their understanding and interpretation of the Bible.
here is the "ironic" thing. apologetics studio are calvinists. calvinists believe god created all things, and controls all things, predetermined all things, and made all things exactly the way they are. ... thus god also created evil. therefore since calvinists believe god created evil. they are blaspheming against the holy spirit ... the only unforgivable sin. calvinists also believe the only people who will be saved have been predetermined by god. (of course ... they smugly think they are among the "chosen" to be saved without a shred of evidence) and since calvinists believe god predetermined who will be saved ... they have removed free will - the gift of god to humans, and removed jesus from the equation. since god (according to calvinists) has already determined who will be saved ... (and who will not be saved) ... those who will be saved do not need christ and those who will not be saved cannot come to christ. thus calvinists are not christians. in fact ... calvinists are exactly like muslims in their thought process. mormons do not believe god created evil. mormons believe god gave every human free will. mormons believe everyone can be saved, because god sent jesus to take the sins of every human upon himself. and therefor all humans who accepts christ's sacrifice can be saved. mormons are more christian than calvinists.
@@Wachary1 the bible refutes you. jesus is the "son of god" therefor he was created by god the father. the scriptures declare we are children of god. created in his image. the scriptures declare we will inherit all christ has. if christ is a "god" then so will we be god's. it is simple biblical doctrine.

Of course, telling people they can't trust the bible is the most dangerous thing that Joseph taught, but to even go as far as to say that contending "takes the spirit away" is a way of keeping them trapped in there.
He was a free mason who did speak to the ‘fallen angel Moroni’. He was deceived and deceived others.
Smith the genius is now burning in Hell.😅
A Genius is a complement that dirtbag was nothing more than a con artist.
and this is why when talking with them I will answer their objections before they have a chance to bring them up. My purpose is to lovingly remove the blinders that the enemy has put over their eyes. 2 Cor. 4:4.
The Apostle John prophesied and said...
" And I saw an angel flying in the midst of Heaven BRINGING THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL TO PREACH TO THE INHABITANTS OF THE EARTH before the great and terrible day of the coming of the Lord."
Perhaps you can explain to me WHY God Almighty would find it necessary to send an Angel to bring the Everlasting Gospel to preach to the inhabitants of the earth IF the Bible ALREADY contains the Everlasting Gospel.

Thank you for the new work you are starting in UT!
I once was just like that man, using Joseph Smith’s blurred lenses to attempt to understand the Bible.
The LDS indoctrination is very deep. But God’s power and grace to reach His people, incomparable.
Praise God for His grace in your life Sister! Thank you for the comment and blessing.
I thank Mr Mormon for just having this conversation. This helps me prepare for my encounters with them❤
If you have any questions (on the LDS faith) I'd be happy to answer! :)
This was amazing!! I love it!
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
I Corinthians 13:13 NKJV
I pray y’all casually run into my Mormon friends
You can witness to them too!!! Learn about GRACE so that you can share what it means with them. Ask your mormon friends to define all the terms that they use and go off of that 🙏 they used the same terms we do but have different meanings. Grace is defined different in mormonism and so is, sin, eternal life, Heaven and Hell, etc so ask them to define EVERYTHING. Most importantly, pray for The Holy Spirit to guide you 🙌❤️
Read Dueteronomy chapters 13 and 18 for what God has to say about false prophets
" how do you know there is no new revelation"?... That's when you say we have the whole Bible including Revelation, which contains things that haven't happened yet... That is all the new revelation you need right at our fingertips
But if the bible answers "all questions" (then why so many faiths)? Which one is right then (If that is important)
Modern day revelations no longer necessary since the biblical canon is closed. All has been revealed that needs to be.
It’s sad to see this guy not understand what the savior taught. Love the way members of the church are confident and other Christian’s sound desperate.
There is NO direct lineage between the start of Christianity and Mormonism. It is not an offshoot of Christianity.
2 Corinthians 11:4 “For if he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit, which you have not received, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him.”
What this means is Paul is warning us about following a false doctrine, a false Christ, and that he believed some would be deceived because they do not test those teachings against what has already been given to them by Jesus and the apostles.
I would think since this is a public street that they may not have to get permission. There's no reasonable expectation of privacy in public areas.
My nephew was a christian for many years and now has become a mormon 😢 i can't believe that he switched to a cult instead
Is Mormon and Latter Day Saints the same religion or are they separate religions ?
Not at all. A different God, different Christ, and different gospel.
Go to CARM > World Religions > Mormonism
Also, Got Questions
Many other great ministries reaching out to the Mormons.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
“For the wages of sin is death; but THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST our Lord” (Romans 6:23)
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is *the gift of God:* Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2: 8-9)
Jesus said, “…know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)
Do these people know they are on camera? I didn't hear him give permission. It looks like a hidden camera.
Those who believe receive the Kingdom of God. We will not become gods
Tou said tou weren't there to argue
Here’s one for you: Joseph Smith said it is missing many plain and precious parts.
LDS says there can be translation errors, But We can look at the translations because now we have all the languages and the ability to compare the translations.
With the LDS church does not say that many things are completely A lie in the KJV BIBLE.
Every contradiction that they have when you keep bringing up text, you need to point out, notate that and go back figure out the proper translation or figure out if God was lying.
Can you imagine if someone walked up to you and started using the quotes and faults of Calvin or Luther to prove your faith is based on a faulty human?
They are Calvinista and Lutherans?
The thing is Christians don’t regard Calvin or Luther as prophets of God. We don’t care if they’re right or wrong-our faith rests upon Christ and His word
Of course there are prophets today! The Bible says your young men will have visions and your old men will have dreams. These are prophetic. God picks people randomly, not in a line like Mormons choose them.
The LDS Church, throughout its early history, has seven different accounts of Joseph Smith’s vision.
Um… jehovah and yahweh are the same word in Hebrew guys…
Let’s just stand together as Christian’s.
Up until the 20th minute, I was hoping that you would share how we can know God and not just who God is. The works righteous Mormon doctrine is opposed to the historic Christian doctrine of justification by faith alone (Romans 3:19-28). It is ALL the work of Christ IMPUTED to us.
Elohim
El and Eloha are ways or saying God.
So sad for these desperate Christian’s. They always are so anxious So nice to rally know
Jesus isn't Three person , I will always work I'm talking about this baptized Jesus the voice having came down heaven and said beholders this is my son . So you saying the when Jesus' come out of the water . He throw his voice into heaven. That Christ is not three in one. That scripture in Matthew proves that.
So, for 10 % of my income and 10 % of my net worth, I can become a
Mormon god and get my own planet. I also get to wear magic underwear and
vote for Mitt Romney?
You ALSO get to experience hell!

I see many chapters and verses listed which by the way were added by the Catholic Church for better content reading and reference.

And they judged the LDS will go to hell because of their understanding and interpretation of the Bible.
here is the "ironic" thing.
apologetics studio are calvinists.
calvinists believe god created all things, and controls all things, predetermined all things,
and made all things exactly the way they are.
... thus god also created evil.
therefore since calvinists believe god created evil.
they are blaspheming against the holy spirit ... the only unforgivable sin.
calvinists also believe the only people who will be saved have been predetermined by god.
(of course ... they smugly think they are among the "chosen" to be saved
without a shred of evidence)
and since calvinists believe god predetermined who will be saved ... they have removed free will - the gift of god to humans, and removed jesus from the equation.
since god (according to calvinists) has already determined who will be saved ... (and who will not be saved) ... those who will be saved do not need christ and those who will not be saved cannot come to christ.
thus calvinists are not christians.
in fact ... calvinists are exactly like muslims in their thought process.
mormons do not believe god created evil.
mormons believe god gave every human free will.
mormons believe everyone can be saved,
because god sent jesus to take the sins of every human upon himself.
and therefor all humans who accepts christ's sacrifice can be saved.
mormons are more christian than calvinists.
Mormons believe Jesus was a created being and that they can become Gods. That’s not Christian at all.

Such a great question. Like Why would a god create us out of nothing to come down and be "saved" without doing anything, and putting us through pain? That doesn't make sense to me.
But your first question is key. Why does this "Mormon" hater believe something? How is anyone supposed to know if God is real. If an atonement and a savior are required and why?

Yet, the mainstream Christian churches cannot come to an agreement as to whether or not it is, and none of them teach it as they cannot reconcile what happens to the believer that for whatever reason dies without baptism. If you can't understand basic doctrine, none of the other eternal stuff these guys focus on matters.
Wow the Mormons are 🤣😂😅😝 why the lies.
